A waste of time.
I originally gave this app five stars because saving the free daily gems felt rewarding. After saving over 1,900 gems, I used all of them and won nothing. The machines also lagged, and gems were deducted during plays that didn’t respond properly. The odds feel extremely low, and the experience left me feeling like weeks of saving were pointless. I can’t recommend it.
The in game experience
It’s pretty good, helpful staff just need to play at least 20 times to get help which is pretty pricey around 70 dollar but guaranteed I haven’t get the figurine so I’ll change it and give a review once it’s shipped
It WAS cool
I use to love Tokyo catch, love that they give us tickets and free shipping if you win one prize with coins. But now they’re charging $20 for shipping if you don’t have a minimum of 3 prizes, seriously? That’s insane, I’m definitely not a fan anymore and probably will end up deleting it.

Company is a complete scammer and lag issues
I tried to be fair but after playing so many times, their game is always lagging and you have to record your own plays to prove games lag out or you get maintenance mode and lose your sessions after spending more than a $1000, their customer service is no help and just says your out of luck on future plays now. Avoid this terrible company and app and you might as well go to Japan and played there or go to your local claw machine business like Round1. This place is a negative F

Gotten Worse
At first I thought this was amazing. You can get free plays fairly often, and free shipping once a week. But after playing a few weeks I’ve lost multiple plays to glitches (you can get a refund, but make sure to record all your plays to prove it). The changed the shipping to require 3 prizes before you get free shipping, and each prize expires in 30 days so you’re pressed to keep playing to keep the prizes that are going to expire. Also the free ticket plays do not qualify for free shipping. All in all it’s no longer a good deal and now feels like a genuine waste of money.
Fun App
This is a fun app for real-time online crane games. The prizes are up-to-date and frequently refreshed with items from Japan. But there are several bugs. For example, you may get kicked out when you purchase new gems during the game, so that the previous attempts will not be counted for getting assistance. When you requested assistance, the timer may stop and you may get kicked out as well. Some staff are very professional and helpful, but others are stubborn and do not listen to your explanation. You could end up wasting a lot of money because of these bugs and stubborn staff.

If you ever want to feel worse about anything, just play some of this (especially if you can’t afford to throw money around). If you rely on tickets alone (may take a few days to get enough to actually win something— only to get cut off and watch someone else take the prize you’ve been working on. Saw the same guy hogging a machine for hours just scalping prizes like crazy. Honestly every single time I open this app I get a pit in my stomach and my hart sinks. Makes my day even worse, so I don’t know why I even try…
i won something after a few weeks
the prizes are pretty annoying to get if you dont want to spend a lot of money. ive spent a total of i think $15 and only one one prize so far, but theres a free daily ticket (for playing machines) if you spend over $12
Great game, but recurring control freeze ruins sessions
I really enjoy TokyoCatch and have spent quite a bit of money because the Assist feature and overall gameplay are fun and rewarding. However, I’ve repeatedly run into a frustrating issue where the game freezes mid-session, the crane buttons turn grey, the Add Gems button doesn’t respond, and there’s no timer before I’m suddenly removed from the machine. I’ve recorded multiple sessions showing this happening with a steady connection and FPS, but support keeps calling it “insufficient gems,” even though the buttons simply stop working. I don’t expect a refund for every case, but I hope the team seriously looks into this problem so players don’t lose turns or assists due to app errors. When it works, the game is great. I just want it to be consistent and fair.
I love this app but
It’s upsetting when half of the coins i spent with my own money get wasted because of connection issues. I tried so hard to avoid it by refreshing the live every time but it still happens. I’ve lost a lot because of this. Been playing this app for almost two months and so far I've only won 2 items.

Unfortunate Recent Update!
The newest update is not good. I thought I was on the web by the looks of it and things are so very hard to find that you want to find now :( I hadn’t been ripped off by them in a while until this bad update and now I’m just getting kicked out of my games every few turns. It’s so frustrating. I have played for a long time, and loved this game! But IF YOU DO NOT RECORD YOUR PLAYS AND ANYTHING GOES WRONG, FORGET GETTING YOUR MONEY/GEMS BACK. Wish they hadn’t updated it. Was my favorite crane app. Would give 5 stars if it weren’t for money loss from kick outs & terrible app update.
Nope
Such a scam, I waited in a reserved queue for a figure(I was 3rd in line) and the person playing was NOT using the crane for a solid 2 minutes. The game did not switch the turn onto the player and the crane looked almost frozen, Until after 5 minutes I finally decided to leave the queue, only to click back on the figure not even 5 SECONDS LATER, and the prize was won(I checked the video it shows of the previous player winning the prize, and the position of the prize was NOT in the same position when I previously clicked off, it looked like the same crane game, but at a different time)

I don’t know if I missed something in the game but I do not know how to earn tickets. I think if I did know I would have a great time with this game especially by earning Sanrio toys and getting them delivered to my doorstep. All together not so bad.
Great game with free shipping
The prizes are winnable, watch others before you play. Learn how each game is suppose to be played. Not all plushies move the same and neither do the action figure boxes even when they are similar sizes. As for other games that use a decoy item to play with, same goes. Watch and learn then play. The free shipping is amazing, I wouldn’t play if it weren’t for it. Has a bit of a learning curve but if you give it time to watch and learn first, this app is great. If it were any easier it wouldn’t exist.

my favourite claw machine app!
i’ve tried many claw machine apps but none of them come close to tokyocatch! i feel like this is the only one that isn’t rigged and i’ve won so many prizes from here. so far, i’ve received two out of about nine prizes and they’ve been great quality and arrived within about two weeks which was way faster than i expected! i’m not sure if i’ve just gotten lucky every time but it seems fairly easy to win and if you buy 600 gems or more, you often get awarded with daily free passes which is awesome! my only issues with this app are the lack of machines in comparison to other claw machine apps (there aren’t very many prizes to win but that could also be seen as a good thing as it stops me from spending more than i should on the app 😅) and the app can be a bit buggy at times, often not loading, crashing or not letting me open things. this doesn’t affect the actual machines though as they run at a pretty solid 50fps for me! overall, i haven’t spent a ton of money on tokyocatch but i’ve still been able to win a ton of prizes! it’s super fun, the machines don’t seem rigged like other apps but there is a slight lack of machines which is why i dropped a star. i highly recommend this over other claw machine apps! :)

This game is very laggy I can barely play it and the controls won’t work this game also gives you no tickets or gems as a starter pack and doesn’t tell you how to get them
Ok but has its flaws
The machines make it challenging to win, however there is an ad you can watch daily to get some gems and hope it pays off! It's kinda rigged against you I suppose unless you invest a lot of money into this game. Would I recommend it? Nope
Best App Claw Game
The prizes are always updating and the games are neither too easy or too difficult. The assists kick in at 20 consecutive plays, which feels fair. The prize selection is great, I often receive plushies and figures that are difficult to buy online before my friend’s can get ahold of them. They always arrive in good condition in a timely fashion as well. (This means a lot to me, as other apps can take months to a year to arrive.) The staff are friendly and helpful every time I have had an issue with the app. I suggest recording your plays to help them when an error occurs!

It’s okay
It’s possible to win , have won many prizes now . I love that they provide free delivery , so if you win a prize quickly it’s well worth it . Unfortunately, only problem is that sometimes machines can be buggy. I have had times where I was kicked off the machine and someone else would win my prize or the claws would refuse to move until the end of time and they would only move by an inch ( definitely wasn’t my connection ) . Emailed three times straight away after this would occur to hopefully get my gems returned but never got emailed back , so not too happy with customer service.

When I first downloaded this app a couple months ago I thought it was great. Got a couple play tickets for signing up and a couple more for linking socials. I even won an item with one of those tickets. But then it started to go downhill. They have a free play ticket daily login bonus but you only get that perk if you spend money on gems. And the cost of gems is completely different on web versus the app. It’s actually cheaper on web. So if you’re a Free To Play player prepare to be frustrated with the amount of ads you’ll have to watch to earn enough gems to even play. Not just the 10 you earn every 6 hours but from all the app games you can slowly earn gems from but get ads practically after EVERY level. The gem cost of some prize figures have even been going up without any notice or reason. You have to win at least 3 prizes within a 30 day period before they ship anything to you and if you don’t, you lose your prize(s). Yup. You don’t get to keep them or have any other way to ship them to you. They just keep them. The Email Help Desk is nice enough but 90% of their answers are copy/paste of their policies and don’t answer your questions 100%. They just ignore or not acknowledge anything you say that they can’t copy/paste an answer about. Also, be sure to screen record EVERY PLAY you do. Otherwise if you have to file a dispute you may not win because they will ask YOU to provide additional longer video proof, even if their play video literally shows the issue. Lately I’ve noticed more and more prizes have to be won with assists because if you watch videos of the latest wins many of the prizes are in places they would not normally be. And to even get an assist many times you have to pump in a ridiculous amount of tries. I counted 19 tries on a stuck prize before I even got an option for an assist and when they were assisting I was removed from my play for no reason and the next person got my assist and prize! With some back and forth with help desk I got refunded the gems but I lost out on the final prize I needed for shipping. Like others have pointed out, unless you have a ridiculous amount of free time to spend earning gems with a stupid amount of ads or have hundreds of dollars to spend on figures, toys, and plushies that are worth half of that, you should find another claw app, actually buy these prizes for far less, or support a local arcade.
Great claw machine experience!
First of all, this app is easy to navigate and has really clean looking visuals. The interface is friendly and prizes are clearly displayed. Upon signing in with apple or Facebook, you get two free plays, which is nice. Secondly, when it comes to playing the cranes, there was no lag or bugs or anything mentioned in other reviews. I normally have awful luck when it comes to claw machines, but I managed to win a prize first try! Once you’ve won, it’s added to your winnings history and you can then request shipping, of which I did. My only criticisms for the app would be a little more information on shipping, how long it’ll take the package to be delivered, where it’s coming from, when it’ll arrive etc. Also, more options to obtain free plays, like sharing on social media, referring friends and things like that. Overall, this is one of the best real life crane games on the AppStore and is very underrated! If you’ve played Toreba, you’ll love this game too!

This is a Scam
If I could give 0 stars, I would. My brother has been playing this game for a while and showed me this game while I was visiting him this past week. I thought it looked fun so downloaded the game and won a couple prizes. Fast forward to today, and I see my account has been suspended. I reached out to customer support and was told that my account was flagged because users are only allowed one account per device, and that I had to pick one account to be reactivated. The accounts listed were my account, my brother’s account, and my sister-in-law’s account. The problem? I created my account on my iPhone and have only ever used my account on my iPhone; my brother and his wife have android phones. I explained this to customer support and still haven’t gotten a response, so I don’t even know if I’ll get my prizes (or my money back). Use at your own risk - these guys are rip-off artists.
Genuine crane experience
While bugs earlier on definitely dampened my experience, the constant updates are definitely getting around to fixing them, although it is still a bit laggy at times, though it’s probably not to the fault of the developers. While it’s difficult to win, like with most actual cranes, it’s definitely possible, and it almost always feels like I’m to blame for my losses instead of the machine. And when something out of my control happens, the customer support is very good. Free shipping every 7 days, and a cart life of 14 means only those who are very impatient will have to pay for shipping, though it’s still an option, which is cool. And the prizes, from the one I have recieved thus far (won more), come very protected and in great condition, and the fame of the company means you can trust it’s all the real deal. Would definitely recommend however that the developers add free plays to make the game more friendly towards newer players, or even tutorial cranes.

Idea for tickets
I find it ok but in relation to the tickets maybe allow users to store 6 tickets at one time and have tell the following week to use them as there have been times I wasn’t able to claim my ticket on the day I should have so I lost it.
