Love this game.
The energy transfer from Murder in the Alps is not working for me to this game, it only works towards MITA. Any help on how to fix it?
The energy
The energy in this game takes forever to refill; 23 hours just to get 200 energy, and it runs out too quickly. How am I supposed to finish the game if this is how it works?
No replayability
It’s a good game with an interesting story, but once you’re done, you’re done. The main story cannot be replayed, and it’s obvious that the sequel (which has been “Coming Soon!” for years) will never arrive. I can understand a decision to cease new development - but surely it can’t be hard to provide a way to reset the story. Seems obvious for a game whose basic idea is that the player can choose among many paths.
Great Mystery, Terrible Energy System
I started to enjoy the game but energy system completely ruins it . I’m forced to spend 5 energy just to investigate/find a single item, while energy regenerates incredibly slowly. It constantly interrupts the story and makes the game feel designed around pushing players to buy energy rather than simply enjoy the mystery. I’d happily play for longer if the energy system wasn’t so restrictive. Really disappointing because the actual murder mystery is fun.
Update the energy system.
The game itself has gorgeous graphics and a very intricate storyline. The gameplay is also where the game excels the most alongside the interactive mechanics and choice dialogue. Main complaint though is the energy. I’ve noticed many complaints as well regarding this and I hope the developers make energy fill up faster and not every 5-6 minutes for a single sliver of energy when an action takes up 5. The game becomes unplayable because you wait over two days for a decent fill on energy just for 5 minutes of gameplay then rinse repeat. I understand this is how the company makes their money but it’s genuinely ridiculous.

I just finished murder by choice and at the end it said a new chapter is coming soon so I looked it up and it said you’ve been making it for four years. Do you know when you’re gonna be done with it or if you’re still going forward with it
terrible energy point replenishment system
It’s impossible to fully enjoy the gameplay. The energy limit is too low, and actions cost too many points. How are you supposed to play this?
Why I haven’t gave fully star
Similar as murder in alps game, I enjoy this game, it fit well, the character and everything are perfect as well energy that gave 3000 than murder in alps that gave out 1500, but here the deal, this game it’s frustrating because of the “energy” that goes down quickly and less fun because of this, I gave 4 star rating, I don’t hate this game or anything it just the energy get wasted 50 energy for puzzle and 20 for cutscenes and 10 for something. While murder in alps gave less energy than this, it’s frustrating to wait to fill the energy up for 23 hour so yea, I don’t complain about everything I’m only complaining the energy, as well I don’t hate this game nether people hate this game.
Great game but ridiculously low energy regen
I just came back to this game after a couple of years and remembered why I played it before but then also why I deleted it pretty soon after. The graphics, the story and the gameplay are great but the energy regen is so stupidly low (1 every 5 mins) and even viewing videos gives only a small amount. Needing to spam multiple video ads just to do a single search game makes a great game really painful to play. We’ll see how long I last before deleting again in exasperation.
Can’t get past the name
Murder is always by choice. Killing in defense is homicide. Accidental killing is manslaughter. Murder is intentional. It should be called Killer by Choice. It may not seem important, but it makes the developers seem unintelligent, which makes me assume the game will be simple minded.

Issues with game.
I have been playing this game for over a year now. And for months I have been stuck in the dining room it will not let me back out of the room and go to the docks to meet everyone else. Love this game just can’t play it anymore. :(

Uses a LOT of energy
Good game but uses energy, even to talk to some one. Refills slowly. I don’t think I’ve ever had a full bar, even when I wait over 12 hrs.

I LOVE this game & Murder In The Alps— waiting for an update so more chapters will unlock. I saw something a year or so ago that both would be updated in 2024 or 2025! Still waiting.

Its a good game but you have such litte energy to play for 3 minutes
Fun game, needs work
While this is a fun game, it needs help. First, the energy depletes too fast, to get a hint takes 3 ads, and lastly, it frequently hangs. I tap something and nothing happens for a minute or two. I may delete it if nothing changes.
It’s OK
Not as much fun as Murder in the Alps. Game/screen does not expand so it’s difficult to see/identify objects. Also, I’ve been playing this game for a year, more or less, and I don’t recall having to update.

Good but just one thing
I can’t give this five stars because of the energy thingy it runs out so quickly and because later in the game you’re darting all over the place and it gets so annoying that I have to wait like a day for it to recharge but I have to say it’s still a decently fun game.
Money grab in my opinion
This is par for the course with my experiences with nordcurrent. A lot of their games are pay to play just like this one. I was hoping for better. It sucks that I’m invested in the storyline since I won’t be finishing the game. Very disappointing.

This game is by far the worst and most abusive game to make you pay to play a game. If you want to play for free it will be a very long game over several months if not a year to complete for you will only be able to play for 5 minutes a day for the energy refresh rate is brutally slow.
Fantastic! But Energy…
This game is absolutely amazing! The graphics are incredible, the story is interesting, and it gives you backgrounds to all of the characters! I have been playing for months and still find it enjoyable. AND THERE ARE NO ADS. But… the energy issue really is a problem. To start with when you first download the game, it gives you 2500 energy and that lasts you about 2 hours. But after you’ve used that 2500, it only gives you 200 every day and that takes about 20 minutes to use up. You can watch ads to get 10 energy or hints but it’s not really worth it. Also, it takes a whole 7 MINUTES to get 1 energy! What?! The same is for Murder in the Alps if anyone has that game as well. This is a great game and I recommend it to anyone who loves a good murder mystery but be prepared for the energy loss. (Also, Nordcurrent, please release the theme on Spotify as you have for Murder in the Alps!)
Two stars for 200 energy a day
I love the game but it’s a waste because the energy declines so fast. I don’t mind spending money for a game 3 bucks here 2 bucks there but why spend the money if the energy is gone in minutes. Game already deleted. Can’t be greedy!
Don't waste time or money
I have no problem paying for games, however this one's the kind that isn't straightforward but adds fees as the game progresses. Like energy -- which one can't play without. It's not even close to being with what the total price to play would be. It's also annoying to be interrupted.

Not Worth It
Fun game, but don’t expect any updates. The lack of transparency from the developers brings the game to 1 star. I’m fully convinced that they are never going to post chapter 2 but they refuse to just acknowledge it. They never say anything real so everyone stops caring.
Great game however…
In my personal opinion this is my favourite game I’ve played so far and I could play it all day however the energy usage is crazy! Just small tasks require so much energy and it ruins the game and the mood of it. I thought to leave it overnight and maybe I’ll have loads of energy and I woke up after 9 hours to find I only gained 85 energy throughout 9 hours. Really disappointed me if the energy wasn’t such a big deal and we could play the game not using much of it it would be the perfect game. Overall though the plot is amazing and I can’t wait to continue the rest of my story once my energy is back☺️

Would be Amazing
This game is fun and would be amazing if not for the short life/energy span. You can only accomplish a few tasks and then you’re done. It does regenerate without a purchase but again it’s so short lived. I don’t want a game where I have to constantly pay money to play or wait overnight to get a small amount of energy that allows for about 5 minutes of play. If the designers would give you adequate life/energy without purchasing this game would be really fun and more people would play. I definitely would! I’m going to end up deleting it just because of the lack of lifespan. Boo!

Such a let down!
good concept of a game and good storyline but this energy problem is such a let down. I understand that the expenditures of energy is quite unbeatable but the amount of time it takes for the energy to be regained is horrendous to say the least. How am i supposed to immerse myself in this storyline when i can barely do 3 dialogue choices?! It is genuinely so tiring to the point where i’m on the verge of deleting. This needs to be fixed in order for players to actually enjoy this game.
Energy dynamics
I love the game the plot is very addictive and graphics are amazing.. but the problem is, it takes very long time to get the energy bar filled, sooo long that i forget the part i reached in the story. And some actions take lot of energy like 40!? It’s too much

Avoid
You know... I play a number of adventure/HO games as I love to dive into new worlds, solve a mystery and enjoy the escapism. In my search for similar games and to try different developers I came across this app. I read some of the negative reviews but they were years old so I decided to just try it. This game has a lot to like: smooth, simple to understand instructions; compelling characters with a classic whodunnit storyline, and the graphic novel visuals move the action along gracefully. During the 20+ games and series' in this genre I've played so far this year, I've had no barriers to continued play with in-app purchases for hints/puzzle skips wholly beneficial, not necessary. Therefore, I was extremely frustrated and saddened to find that this game is ruled by energy units whereby every single conversation (30), action (100) and shockingly, individual items found in the HO elements (5 each + a penalty of 10 for too many clicks!) cost energy - quickly diminishing and stopping me playing unless I purchased more; expensive at £6.99 for 1000 units of energy (allegedly 55% off!). This lasted no more than 10 minutes of continued play. Achievement awards of 10-15 energy and 1 single unit of energy every 7 minutes is also woefully inadequate. Unlike lives - which offer a lifeline to try again - the energy system actively penalises you for playing and progressing through the game only to have to pay a ransom to continue further. This makes me so angry as, being an adult who can make informed choices and exercise self control, I can see through the inexplicable anti-user friendly extortion tactics that will undoubtedly take advantage of younger and more vulnerable users.
Could be! Should be ! A better score
Two big faults: first, I’m at the scene towards the end in the submarine or the sunken ruins, trying to find a government stamp, and even the hint don’t work. Pay the money hit this hit the hint and it disappears nothing. It wouldn’t be so bad, but this is getting to be extremely tedious, and expensive. In the beginning, I was fascinated by the game, love the storyline, love the characters and then… I get 85% of the way through? And it becomes tedious, dragging never ending. I can’t do anything until I find the stamp and I can’t find the stamp. There has to be some kind of remediation. In fact, I would like to have my money refunded for the amount of hints I’ve wasted trying to get this stamp. Of course that’s just me being stupid saying oh well maybe it was just a glitch in the system. No, it’s not. It’s deliberate. It’s cheating. Shame on you. Shame on you. For the most part the game is very entertaining but now.

Interesting and enjoyable!
I actually really enjoyed this game ! I think one of my fav parts is how much of a relationship you make with each character . Yes it does get annoying sometimes that you run out of charge so fast , but I do think it’s worth it , also so you don’t play the game to quickly . It also really pairs well with murder in the alps , as you can gain charge from both . I am super excited for chapter 2 to come out , i hope it’s soon . I would really recommend this game , even just 10 -20 mins daily .
