Best idea ever
I’m so glad we joined the every plate family. I don’t know how I ever survived before joining. We save so much money. All the food is delicious. I love the fact that you can choose your meals and add extras if wish.
Delays
Every single time I have ordered from here, it’s delayed. I’m supposed to get my boxes every Wednesday and they never show up until Thursday, Friday, or next Monday. I run out of food at home before this box even shows up.
Just Started
My friend has been using EveryPlate for more than a year and loves it. I have tried others and wanted to give EveryPlate a try. So far everything thing has been wonderful.
Disappointed
They were doing great and I enjoyed this plan and then they started sending me missing ingredients and moldy food and too small of vegetables, missing directions. Just mistake after mistake for weeks. I forgot to pick my meals I wanted and tried contacting them right away and THEY NEVER RESPOND. Finally called and all they said was I missed my window to cancel the order, well yeah I missed it because THEY DID NOT RESPOND. Completely disappointed with company and their terrible customer service. I would not recommend because even with how enjoyable and easy the meals were at the beginning the company just went completely downhill. Also the meat products never have an expiration date on them and say not to refreeze so that makes me question how old the meat actually is?
4+ years of use
My husband and I have been using EveryPlate for over 4 years. The prices are fantastic, the options are consistent, and 90% of the time things arrive fresh. We've used them because we simply dislike meal planning and then shopping, it helps us stay in budget and try new things. Unfortunately we have decided to leave EveryPlate as their recent update is making things less convenient - can't load the weekly options, or just entirely deletes your account (this has happened twice) and it's gotten to the point that we are just tired of trying the same meals week after week
Inconsistent quality; poor delivery
They send you veggies that go bad within a few days, but they also can’t deliver on the same day each week, making it hard to plan around the short shelf life. Everything is inconsistent here. Customer service is this pointless chat bot that can’t understand simple sentences.
Once great customer service is now terrible
I’ve been a customer of EveryPlate for 7 or 8 years. They used to have great customer service. Recently it seems they have fired all their customer service reps and replaced them with terrible AI agents who only provide canned responses and can’t solve real problems. I recently had a couple boxes arrive with entire meals missing. Mistakes happen. But I shouldn’t have to follow up multiple times just to get a refund.
Great meals!
It’s a sister company to hello fresh so I was expecting the same service. Hello fresh separates all the ingredients and it makes it so easy. For this one it comes all loose. Makes it hard to know what’s missing, and harder to store. After a few years the recipes have gotten better!
Used to be good
I used to love this company… Big portions lots of variety good quality. The last year…year and a half the portions have gotten smaller. They give you the smallest amount of vegetables such as broccoli is barely enough for 2 people let alone 4. They up charge you for anything of “better quality”. The steak bits are chewy. I never order them anymore. It’s continually coming late or damaged. And the only way they reward you for sticking with them is if you get someone else to buy boxes. I’ve been with this company for almost 3 years. I have 150 boxes ordered and I have nothing to show for it.
Very first box was delayed
Not a great sign that my very first box was delayed. Doesn’t make me to excited to keep subscribing.
Love it !!!!
Great App. ;)
Deliveries have gone down hill
I just canceled my subscription. The deliveries have been consistently late with no justification. Food damaged, spoiled, and portions have gotten small. I was with for years and now switching to a competitor. You should do a better job with keeping your long term customers. Maybe offer them more incentives for their consistent loyalty.
4 star
I like your recipe, but I give you a 4 star because you didn’t chop the meet, if you chopped the meet I would give 5 star. 👍😆
Need to fix the app
The app doesn’t work at all. Will cancel our subscription if they can’t figure it out
It’s good but the app doesn’t work
We love every plate, every week makes dinners easier, the only downside is the app never wants to open. I have to go through the website each time.
Great Food/Good Budget
Ive used them for 3 years more or less. You only need basic ingredients at home and they send the rest. Options are almost always great and different but if not they rotate fan favorites you can fall back on. My only complaint is lately they boast more options sadly half of them seem to come at $3 each more. I left Hello Fresh because they were more expensive but also did the same nonsense. I get up charging fish/steak but im noticing it more n more. Hopefully they stay true and stop making so many simple thing “extra”. Overall I’ve enjoyed the meals and easy of cooking from them.
Terrible App, decent food
The app UI is awful. Trying to view the current week, but it’s really a “past order” but it also doesnt show up in past orders. The app glitches out constantly. Customer service is mid, the food is alright.
Update challenge
EveryPlate has worked excellent, food options, quality, instructions and price. The app has also been excellent until now, I open the app and I am directed to update, go to my App Store, my app is up to date. I cannot update my meal options via iPad app.
Service and meals are great, app stopped working
For the past few months, I am able to see my meals for future weeks, just not able to edit them in app as it would crash if I tried. Opening in the browser works fine. When I go to edit the future week, it says “Whoops, no meals are showing” the first time. Subsequent attempts do show the meals, but edits are not possible. It would be great to have this core app functionality working again.
Could be better
I’ve been using EveryPlate for 2-3 yrs and I’ve consistently faced issues with delivery, food quality, and what’s advertised vs reality. At my old house the boxes would often be delivered to god knows where, even though I put instructions on the box and through the FedEx company. The food quality is subpar at times with the garlic sprouting too soon (also why do I need a full bulb of garlic in EVERY box) or the produce browning- probably because all the ingredients are thrown in a brown paper bag getting tossed around in delivery. Sometimes I receive a box and the meat packet has burst juices over all of the ingredients (the meat is separate from the produce but I digress) and I obviously throw the whole thing away. Also it’s advertised that the box can last 48hrs on your porch “so don’t worry if you can’t get to it right away!”, yet after 24hrs (I can’t always get to the package right away) the ice is fully melted, and the ice is only at the bottom- cold seeps down so what about the produce on top?? Only reason I’m giving three stars is because customer service is very good about refunding for their mishaps, and when I can cook the food it’s simple to follow, easy to add your own flare, and tastes pretty darn good. I wish they would improve their shipping methods and add a rewards program for loyal customers, possibly after every eight boxes you get one meal (two servings) for free. I hope someone at EveryPlate reads this and takes it into full consideration.
So good!
These meals are delicious and easy
Save yourself
Please save yourself the trouble of dealing with this company. They send stuff even if you don’t want it and charge you for it. Then it’s a huge hassle to cancel.
Great value and simple meals, but app needs work
As of 2025 we’ve used EveryPlate on and off for years and are very happy with it overall. The meals are simple, use few ingredients, and the spice packets make it easy to add flavour. Portion sizes are reasonable, and we often add extra vegetables to bulk them up a bit. We like the flexibility of using it for a few weeks, then cancelling for a while, and repeating as needed—it suits our lifestyle since we’re happy to cook most of the time. One frustrating downside is the app itself: you can’t cancel your plan within the app—you can only skip weeks. To cancel fully, you have to open a web browser. That limitation is really annoying and should be fixed.
Sketchy Practices
I started this service thru referral from my girlfriend. It offered me a small discount for the first 11 meals. I’ve made 6 orders so far. When you refer someone you can get $30 voucher. They fail to tell you that it can’t be applied until you make all of your 11 discounted orders first. Also, they will not let you cancel your order after your meal selection date. Even when it hasn’t been shipped. The rep clearly told me the order hasn’t shipped, but I can’t cancel it per our policy but I can swap my meals. When I was offered a menu to swap meals none of the meals I wanted were available. They can change my meals, but can’t cancel my order? This clearly indicates that customers are being held hostage so an order is guaranteed. The ethics of this company are questionable.
Deceptive Billing Practices & Disclosure Dark Patterns
EveryPlate uses every deceptive pricing trick imaginable. Discounts are fragmented across multiple weeks so you can’t calculate what any single order actually costs. Weekly meal selections come with upcharges that aren’t disclosed upfront. Want to know the real all-in price before checkout? The app is deliberately designed to prevent that. They advertise “free” items as part of promotions, but you have to navigate confusing dropdown menus to claim them, and by then they’re conveniently often sold out. They claim meals start “under $2 per person” but I have literally never gotten a meal at that price - not once. I’d be happy with anything under $12 per person, which should be achievable if their advertising had any connection to reality. The auto-renew terms are buried and poorly disclosed, and they don’t send reminders in any reasonable timeframe, so you end up charged for deliveries you didn’t want. This goes beyond poor design. It’s a deliberately confusing business model built on bait-and-switch tactics and false advertising. So disappointing because the food is very good and convenient to make.
I love this meal service
I have been using EveryPlate for nearly 6 years now. It is so easy and convenient and I love that after work I don’t have to think about what to make, I just follow the directions. I have saved a lot of time and money from not having to get all the ingredients at the grocery store and not having to mentally plan each weeks meals. I am thankful for how easy this has made my life.
Scam
I was looking into this meal plan service. I logged in and created an account. The website made me enter my credit card info to look through the plans so I did. After deciding to use their service I cancelled my account. Remind you this all happened during the first login. A couple of days later I get charged for an order so I call the company. I find out that I cancelled my account but did not cancel the order, that was in a separate area of their webpage, but the order went through. I called to discuss with them but customer service was absolutely horrible. I asked them to fully delete my account with them and they said they would but it would take 45-90 days! I kid you not. Total scam!!!!
Search/filter
I don’t really like the lettuce mix. The carrots are always soggy as if they have been frozen. It would be good to be able to filter out the items you don’t like and for the low cost options.
Never Delivered / Promo Fraud
This was my first order and it’s been a mess. I was supposed to receive a free steak add-on with my subscription, but it was not included. Instead, it was substituted with broccoli soup — which is not what I selected or wanted. On top of that, my actual food order was supposed to be delivered yesterday and still hasn’t arrived today, with no helpful updates. Since this is perishable food, I’m not comfortable receiving it at this point because it likely won’t be fresh. Customer service kept offering small credits instead of resolving the issue properly. At this point I requested a full refund to my original payment method. This was a really disappointing first experience and not worth the hassle.
Complicated
I almost canceled before my first order. I could not figure out how to remove options on the app. So I logged on the website to cancel but found it was easier to use. We will see if the apps other features are easier to use.
Great when you need it
I use everyplate when life is really hard or stressful because it takes out a big chunk of work. Not having to shop for dinners or think too much about what we make is really useful. I've been sick recently so it has been really nice.
Missing Chicken!!!
If I’m going to be paying 86 dollars every time I order a box, I better have all the ingredients. The first box I ordered was missing chicken and that was an entire meal that I couldn’t make. I only got 4.26 dollars back in credit. Which is not helpful because I still don’t have what I need to make the meal. Now I have to go to the store and spend more money on getting chicken that I should have already received because I paid for it. I will be cancelling my subscription.
Convenient
We go between this and hello fresh. Every plate is cheaper and the meals are great! Still plenty big enough.
App lacks important features
The app is frustrating to use. They focus on pushing so many upgraded meals (why is there filter for regular priced/included meal choices?) and extra sides now. Also, there’s no way to skip a week in the app after this latest app release. Annoying to login with computer/web to skip a week.
First box, messed up
Received my first box. I was super excited. Opened it up, nothing is organized, just thrown in there. Oh, and add ons were missing. Not a good first impression.
Thank you
Amazing customer service team, I left wrong address before the night of delivery, I got super helpful assistance over phone. The delivery is seamless and I was extremely happy. Food is within my budget with lots of choices, what else you can ask for! Thank you. Keeping on the good service☺️
Ditch the app
To be honest the app is useless. It used to work great and now you can’t view “my menu” which allows you to select your meals. Have to use a browser, just says “technical error” and its been like this for months. No update fixes it. Contacted CS about it and they said its a known issue. Ditch the app, use the browser. The service is okay. More new meals come out ar a higher price than the “free” ones you get with your plans so its usually the same stuff every month. Some weeks are great, others not so much. Still cheaper than groceries.
Potatoes
Too many sweet potato dishes but loving the meals
Dropped support for iOS 16
App crashes. I’m jailbroken and was able to use a spoof tweak to make it work, but they’ve hung a lot of folks out to dry. Can’t even decline the update that breaks iOS 16 support.
Room for improvement
I used HelloFresh for a few years and was super excited when I found a cheaper option. Was pretty disappointed when I realized they provide much fewer ingredients, for example, today I’m making fried chicken, I fully expected to have to provide my own oil, s&p etc I didn’t expect to have to buy a whole carton of eggs so I can have one single egg, I bought these to save me grocery store trips. Also hate that everything comes in one huge bag and you have to sit and dig through to try to find what you need. They also don’t offer nearly as many options that aren’t an extra cost per meal
Best bang for your buck around town and the meals are generally great
With car payment and saving up for a house, Budget is the name of the game. I’ve been using every plate for almost a month now and have saved roughly 300 or so dollars in groceries per month. I love being able to try new recipes without having to go online and find a recipe then head to the grocery store and pick up all the ingredients which usually you can’t get in the correct portions and end up wasting some. Every plate has reduced the number of times to go to the grocery store significantly and saved us quite a bit. Pro tip I would recommend getting a couple of extra sides at the grocery store along with your meal kits. Like if they have potato wedges as a side for you then plan to hit the grocery store and get a couple of extra potatoes same thing with broccoli green beans whatever side you have I generally find it’s not quite enough to fill me up all the way. However, with just one or two additional portions of the side, it can generally make up the difference. Yes I could increase the number of portions I order but then it would definitely be too much food. I’ve found just grabbing one or two extra portions of sides for the meals during the week is a perfect compromise.
App Does Not Work!!
The App has not worked in several days, 3-4 at least. I am unable to sign on WHICH MEANS I CANNOT PICK MY MEALS. Love spending $50+ to get random meals that I didn’t ask for…will be canceling at the end of the month if the app is not fixed.
Meals
Love most of the meals. Too much sweet potato. Too many rissoles with mustard sauce. Boring salads.
Becoming bland
Far to many bland meals. We are curry fans.
It’s okay
I did like every plate but everytime I ordered chicken it smelt like it was that off smelt like bad seaweed/farts so I had to throw it out and wasted a lot of money.
Life changer!
Has been the best thing for my family! Kids have eaten every meal without a fuss!
The app is pointless
For months now the app is just a waste of space on my phone. I HAVE to use the website itself to do anything. What's even the point?? I can't edit my meals from the app, it just says "oops we encountered a problem please retry!" Which does nothing. Super annoyed because the website is clunky to me.
Hit and miss
There is always something missing or of poor quality in the box.
Meals extra $
Why are there so many meals with an additional price for the meals. I chose this service as there were set prices.
