The best ready meals
I’ve done Factor prior to CookUnity and it’s not even close. CookUnity is SO MUCH BETTER. The options are better, shipping is better, the food tastes better and has more protein than factor. The cost is the same if not less! This is absolutely the way to go if you’re looking to buy meal ready meals.
Forced into a subscription just by opening the app
I opened the app after being a former user. It automatically opted me into a subscription and changed me even though I made no selections or placed any orders. This is an awful and greedy design to optimized to take money from users.
Great App, couple of suggestions
The app is fairly smooth. I enjoy the convenience of it! Two things I would love to make it better: 1) Would be great to be able to hide meals from the list that you’ve tried and maybe they aren’t for you, or you know you would never order it because you don’t like a major ingredient. Would also help make sure they don’t get sent if you forget to update your order. 2) It doesn’t appear that you can review meals in the app. I can add an item as a favorite, but cannot rate or review anything. It would be nice to be able to provide feedback in the app.
Found HAIR in food 🤮🤮
Just like any other food service it just gets old after a few weeks. My last order came last Friday and most of the meals expiration date only gave me a few days to eat 6 meals. Does not matter though as I was eating the Pork Shoulder and Mac&Cheese I literally pulled a fairly long black HAIR out of the pork. I'm traumatized. Make sure you check your food for HAIR 🤮🤮

Great Service
Just cancelled my subscription after a year and a half. I’ll be moving across the country and can’t afford a meal delivery service. Out of all of the ready-made meal services, CookUnity absolutely can’t be beat. The selection is massive and great for picky eaters. They have a four meal plan, so you don’t HAVE to pay a minimum of $80 per week. The food comes fresh and is delicious. Very sad to go. Would recommend.
Horrible
I skipped my service twice and still got charged over a hundred dollars each time I’m not the only one who’s said this the app is trying to take everyone’s money regardless of if they want anything.. horrible and I wouldn’t sign up because there’s going to be charges unaccounted for in your bank account!! This app is a scam period!
Bug still there
The service is good and I would love to keep using it but anytime I try and log in, the site or app never loads and that’s a bit frustrating so hopefully that gets fixed soon
UX Needs Work
If you favorite a meal, you can't add that meal to your cart from the favorites list...wtf is this design
Sad that this is the best out there
Food arrives warm, delivery drivers are unprofessional, and the website and app are buggy, but this is still the best food delivery service that I’ve tried, and I’ve tried a lot of them. No packing waste, biodegradable trays that can go in the oven, larger menu than competitors, but I still find myself having to reorder the same thing fairly often.
You can’t beat it
Discovering Cookunity was the best thing I’ve done in awhile. I did research & compared against other food delivery services & nobody is coming close to the connivence, variety & flavor that cook uniity offers. I’ve been able to save so much time & money & tried so many new delicious meals! For the price you cannot beat having restaurant made meals straight to your door that you can pop right in the oven. I’ll be sticking with Cookunity for sure
Horrible Service
Customer Service is horrendous. Sends duplicate meals and sometimes 3 of the same meal. Yes I have completed the taste and preferences profile. I asked for a 50% refund for one week’s meals due to repetitive nature week after week. They gave me a lot of excuses and zero help. I had been with them for over a year. Zero stars for customer service!
Great meal service
As far as meal delivery services go this is the best one I’ve tried by far. I love that there’s a spot in the app I can put in foods I don’t like so that those can be avoided in my selections. One thing I would love to see with the taste profile section would be for there to be a spot to indicate whether or not people want spicy food. I personally cannot handle too much spice and have accidentally ordered or the auto selector picked a few that had a kick to them that are too much for me. If something like that could get added then this app would be 5 stars for me.(If there is already a way to do this please let me know).
Good food, lousy app
The food is generally very good but the app needs serious work. Frequently freezes, becomes unresponsive, often doesn’t acknowledge items added to cart, and is generally overly cluttered and confusing. Please fix!
Great - except…
My only real complaint is the delivery experience. My deliveries are only available on Wednesdays, and the estimated delivery window is almost never accurate. Even when I click the tracking link to see the “next stop” time, it ends up being several hours later than what’s shown. It makes it really difficult to plan my day, especially when I’m working. Living in Arizona, I’m also a little concerned that the meals are delivered in a black insulated bag with ice packs rather than a box with dry ice. While the food has generally arrived cold, the combination of the extreme heat and unpredictable delivery times makes me worry about how long the meals are sitting outside. If CookUnity could improve the delivery tracking accuracy and packaging for hotter climates, it would easily be a 5-star service for me.
Better than Factor
The food is very delicious and nutritious. I really like it. Sometimes the app can be a bit buggy but overall its good.
Scam app
It automatically enrolls you into a subscription when you make an account and they don’t make it clear. So after you order once they will auto send you food very week.
Great meals!
I have tried quite a number of dinner delivery services, and this is by far the best. I would give a five star rating to the vast majority of the meals I have tried. The variety, the taste, the fresh ingredients, and the imaginative menus, make this an excellent option for those nights where you just don’t feel like cooking.
Great meals…terrible app
A lot of the seemingly clickable icons for adding meals to your weekly schedule, as well as other functionality doesn’t work. The app is terribly unintuitive and is more of a hindrance than a helpful commodity.
Fine, with occasionally terrible UI
The app works fine overall, but its ui can be clunky on mobile. This is at its prime with pausing plans. The UI elements that are trying to provide CTAs away from pausing your plan are so large that you LITERALLY can’t do anything but click on them or cancel. They essentially block you via the front end. Until they remove this I’m keeping my score, but may reevaluate otherwise.

The app is glitchy and slow. Even in NYC there aren’t that many good options to choose from I just eat the same things every week and sometimes I forget to choose and it auto selects… also customer service is bad

Very buggy app
If a meal that you put in your cart goes out of stock, it shows up in your cart with a red error message like “0 available meals”, and prevents you from confirming your order unless you remove that selected meal. However, I’ve left a meal with that error message in the cart without confirming the order and I ended up getting that meal anyway. It’s clearly a one-off bug in the app’s code. In other words, an error that’s supposed to be triggered when an item is genuinely out of stock is instead showing up when the item is merely out of stock for people who haven’t already put it in their carts.
The new packaging is worse and smaller portions
They recently updated to new packaging that comes apart when you heat it up and the portions are noticeable smaller. Go back!

Beware if you have allergies
Their app recommended a chicken & dumpling dish to me when searching for chicken protein. I have my profile set up to note I’m allergic to fish and shellfish. I heated it up and almost ate it when I saw the package sleeve notes it contains fish. I searched hockey protein options again to see if I missed something. Next time other icons on the page you scroll was a tiny red dot with a slash. You have to go into each individual meal details to really see it contains fish. Why was it recommended as a meal option for me in the first place?

My dad enjoys the food, but Geeze the app is glitchy. I always end up going to the computer because the app simply does not work properly. I can never, for example, look at the entire menu in a week.
love the service so far but app is constantly broken in one way or another
problems with “loading errors” on the home page, problems with some buttons working and some not. i will close and reopen the app and it will fix itself maybe 50% of the time. the service has been great so far but this app needs to be worked on a little bit for sure
Amazing food
The food, options, taste, portions, quality, delivery, packaging, and nutritional value of the meals are all excellent. It’s like having a personal chef. The app is also so easy to use. This is the best service I have ever come across. I tell everyone I can. I’ve tried other companies before. Nothing compares. I pray to god this company never shuts down!
Terrible Customer Service—Avoid This Company
My mom accidentally reactivated her account, and she didn’t even know that food had been ordered until it was delivered to an old address. When she contacted support, they refused to refund her and responded in a dismissive way that essentially blamed her for not being more careful. A reputable company should make its reactivation and ordering process clear and help customers when an honest mistake happens. Instead, this experience felt deceptive and completely lacking in compassion. I’m canceling my account and telling my friends and family not to use this service.
Great Food, Buggy App
The food is phenomenal. However, the app constantly freezes, making the experience cumbersome. I’ve noticed that the app will freeze anytime you try to scroll up on a chef’s menu. To get around it, recommend you just use the web app instead.
Delicious Convenient Affordable
The food is delicious and more than enough. The convenience of just heating the food in our hotel suite is perfect. The meals are so much more affordable than eating out! Blown away by the quality. Thank you all the chefs!
Great food, horrible app
If only the app were as gourmet as the food! The app (even after several “updates”) is buggy, hard to navigate, and needlessly convoluted. With all the money we pay for the great gourmet food, you’d think Cook Unity would find a good app developer. It’s getting to the point where o may cancel my membership.
Best tasting meals!
Meals are amazing. Affordable! Convenient! My kids love them too. Great for school lunches and dinners when you don’t have time to cook. So many options to choose from!
There is NO "What's New" tab in app or on website
Help! There is NO "What's New" tab in my app. I know exactly where it SHOULD be and it's not there. How can I get a human to fix this issue??

Not the best experience
Can’t resolve my problem. The app is easy to order and pay, but if you have any issues after that, forget it. AI is your only recourse. Maybe try using human beings to solve problems. I had a simple conflict, that could have easily been solved if there was a human being to answer questions. Instead I’m so frustrated texting to a computer. I WILL NOT put myself through this again. I haven’t even tried a meal yet.
