Absolutely worth it
Short delightful games that you can play in 15 minutes and they have a new set of challenges each time. And its not a cynical money grab like most. Edit….Two stars for the crashing! Cant get through a solitaire game without it dropping out. Aug 2026
The app keeps crashing
On my iPad. There isn’t an easy way to submit a ticket and get a response. This is august 2026. I want to play my game but can’t. Do they expect everyone to know how to use discord for ticket submission?

I love this game but it consistently crashes towards the last rounds. Please fix this. It’s very disappointing. Otherwise a great game when it works.
Great but unplayable game
I love this board game so much, and the digital implementation is great since you don’t have to manage all the little bits. But the game crashes CONSTANTLY. This week I can’t even get through a single turn before it crashes, and then the load time is absurdly long. Love the game, but MY GOD put some investment in server stability.
Why does it keep crashing on my iPad?!
I love this game - the mechanics, the artwork, the music… It plays well as a solo game, with friends and even online! Beautiful, calming, everything I want in a game… But for the past year it crashes mid game - only on my mobile devices - no matter my network. My Karma points keep dropping because I can’t log back in before time runs out. Very frustrating!
Worth the learning curve
Excellent rendition of the somewhat complex board game; iPhone users might need reading glasses; wish players could zoom in on the three displayed bird cards

Astounding that a perfect board game has been rendered so unintelligible & stressful in online play. What even is that ‘reset’ chart for?? How much nectar applies & when?And the squashy text is illegible on an iphone
Please work on memory optimization
Just want to say straight away that I absolute adore this game and WANT to give it five stars. The vibe is incredible and I find it very relaxing after a full day of toddler wrangling. The only issue I have is how often it crashes, especially on my 7th gen iPad. I have looked at the jetsam logs and iOS is killing the process because it has exceeded its memory limit (~1.45GB). that is an insane amount of memory to use for a mobile game. Again, absolutely adore this game but devs: PLEASE spend a sprint or two making improvements to memory usage (e.g. clear game state, objects, resources, etc that are not being used)

Great game but…
This is a fantastic game! I could play it nonstop if, if only it didn’t crash all the time. The online game frequently crashes right at the end after I’ve spent 45 minutes playing it and I can’t get back on for five or seven minutes and I’m knocked out out of the game permanently. Beyond frustrating. The AI game is 10 times worse. Sometimes it crashes after each play I make. Please fix this!!!

ȚHis game is AMAZING!! The app plays JUST like the board game and that’s rare. MY only “complaint” is that I the last six months or so the game is crashing. At first it was once in awhile but lately it’s crashing multiple times in a game. IT didn’t start that way it was so solid. Please look into this developers. Otherwise I LOVE this game
Love the game
Love the game but am constantly getting kicked out and then can’t get bag in so I lose the game and karma points. I have cleared out my phone but it doesn’t seem to matter and I can’t find any help online with the problem. Maybe developers could give me some advice?
Great game but a few glitches when laying eggs
This game is amazing. I would love to give it five stars. The music and the bird sounds are extremely relaxing. I love the information about the birds being read to you, as the writing on the cards in the physical board game is extremely tiny. This is a great game to relieve stress.
Crashes
The iOS app on the iPad is crashing every other turn at this point. It makes this amazing game practically impossible to play. It seems like it’s been getting worse and worse instead of better. Used to be maybe once a game, then 2 or 3 times per games, etc until the last time we played we tracked it and it crashed every other turn.

Great great game, but after every update, there is a period of time when the game is unplayable bc it crashes after 5 minutes. This is one of those periods, really hope they fix it
Challenging and Relaxing
Once you’ve gotten the hang of it, this is a very fun, strategic game that can be played on or offline. No pop-up ads or other annoyances. I really appreciate the overall design and thoughtful interface. This is my favorite iOS game by far.
Bugs
I LOVE wingspan but I can’t get past one or 2 turns on my iPad without it crashing and forcing me to reload it and start over. Essentially it’s unplayable on my iPad. I have plenty of storage and I’ve tried all kinds of resets and upgrades on my iPad. I’m so disappointed I can’t play it and wasted my money.

Great Game but frequently crashes
I love the game but i get frequent crashes playing online. This is extra frustrating because players are punished for exceeding 3 mins on a turn. If I crash I often auto forfeit the game because I can’t reboot in time.
A Learning Curve Well Worth the Effort
This game can and usually does seem quite daunting for new players. I promise you the payoff is worth it though. There is endless playback and no two games will ever be the same. My family loves this game and trying to come up with new combinations to score points. Even though winning is the goal the satisfaction of a new engine that you’ve never seen or built is so rewarding. You cache that new possibility in your tool box to expand the versatility of your play. We also have seen a trend in large multiplayer games that more player interaction and giving seems to lead to winning. While I wouldn’t recommend it in a one on one it definitely has shown that it pays to be a giver.

What so excited to get this game even with accessibility settings unfortunately I can’t read the font on my phone and most things are not recognized by the screen reader. Hey dev team help a girl out please!
Great Game!
I play this game endlessly! Two little fixes in my opinion would make it even better. 1. A small icon somewhere (bottom left corner?) that would expand your hand of cards up into a scrollable display or grid. (Being able to arrange the order even?) When you get up to 10 or more cards it’s really hard find the one you want. 2. A bit faster processing when playing the bots would be fab! The waiting between turns is part of its charm, but it kinda reminds me of the little clickity clackity sounds you get when you’re on hold that signal the recorded voice is somehow typing on a keyboard. 🤣
Games crashes frequently
I’m a huge fan of this game and have played over 900 hours of it on Steam with zero performance issues. However, the iPad version is a huge disappointment. I bought it for my iPad today and played an online game with one friend and three AI players. The game crashed at least 10 times over the course of the game causing me to have to launch it again to resume the game. Every time I launched the game, including the very first time, it sat there for a very long time on the title screen, sometimes 1-2 minutes and sometimes 3-4 minutes. My iPad is up to date on the latest iOS. I hope these performance issues get resolved as it’s truly a remarkable game and Monster Couch’s digital implementation is so superbly well done.

We really like playing this, but the game keeps crashing. It crashes most often when switching from player to player. It happens so often we almost can’t play it. If this could be fixed, it would be perfect.
Fix the Crashes, PLEASE!
I love this game and have been playing it for years, often at least once a day, BUT BUT BUT over the last six months, far less because it is impossible to complete a game without two or three CRASHES. I’m 100% updated and never begin a game without turning off my iPad first and then restarting it and making sure NO OTHER apps are open. Still , crashes. Crashes. CRASHES. JUST FIX IT, PLEASE!

Karma Points glitch
On group games, will randomly not inform me when it’s my turn. I am trying to claw my way out of 1/100 for months now due to this glitch. Have tried reaching out to developer to restore my points and no response. Have invested many hours into this game trying to build up, and it goes to waste when this glitch takes place. I hope during your next update you’ll restore everyone’s karma points to 100 and have the bugged fix, as this has obviously affected lots of players when you read recent reviews.
Bugs
Fantastic game and adaptation! However since getting the newest update my game keeps glitching every time the ai opponent uses a bird that asks me if I want to discard a bird to get a fish. If I say no that option menu stays on the screen and I can’t progress. If I go to the main menu all of the menu options are blank. Kept happening after 4-5 reboots.
Fun game but battery drain
This is a genuinely fun game but the poor programming results in draining the battery and overheating the phone. This can cause the game to freeze. If that happens during an online game, you lose “karma” points. As a buddhist, this is both a misunderstanding of karma and cultural appropriation.
Please fix glitches
I love this game but lately about one third of the time the game force quits at random and then takes forever to reload and open so then I time out and lose 5 karma points and can’t finish my game. It’s so discouraging and it’s ruining the app for me : (

Probably one of my favorite board games/games ever and they donate to bird conversation and efforts and you get to learn about birds too !

PLEASE FIX THE APP
This game is amazing and the app works well generally, however it frequently loses connection booting you from the game and damaging your account karma. When the average game takes an hour, this is a disappointment and a huge waste of time. This is a problem with the iOS app specifically. I also play on Steam and never have this issue. Please fix the app. The cost of the game plus expansions is way too much to justify this ongoing issue.

I absolutely love this game! But it no longer works on my latest ipad. The app freezes as it opens. Please fix. I bought the ipad last year. It’s kind of senseless to keep buying products for apps to keep working.
As beautiful as the board game!
The gameplay is smooth and the design is as gorgeous as the board game. The overview mode helps a lot to simplify the view if things get overwhelming switching between habitats.
Doesn’t Launch on iPhone or iPad
No support link anywhere, and the game is stuck on the title screen. I’ve deleted and redownloaded it multiple times and rebooted both devices.
Love the game, hate the crashes
I love love love playing this game, but its annoying that it crashes so frequently. I have all the latest updates to the game and my iPad so there should be no reason it crashes, but what used to happen after repeated use now happens several times per game. I’ve had to delete and reinstall, but it is still crashing. Please please please fix this bug!!!

Wingspan is amazing and relaxing game that can be enjoyed solo or with friends! I always love seeing the beautiful birds, trying new strategies and listening to the peaceful soundtracks.

Don’t get me wrong: I LOVE this game to borderline obsession but the app is buggy as all get out. It crashes every 15 minutes for me, takes ages to load and if you leave the app for even one second you have to go through the entire loading process all over again. For an app I paid for I hope these issues get ironed out soon!
Crashes every couple of games
As other reviewers have mentioned the app crashes every couple of games. It is a minor irritant because at least it remembers where you were in your game when you reopen the app. Perhaps the app developers need to consider reducing the number of animations to lessen the load. There nothing wrong with my iPad, its relatively new and has very little stored on it, so obviously its an app stability issue. Otherwise, I love this game and play it on my desktop computer all the time, but it’s nice to use my iPad occasionally as well.
