What people like
- Simple design that is easy to use
- Helps students feel confident catching trains
- No ads in this specific version
What they complain about
- Ads block the screen and ruin experience
- App freezes or fails to search trips
- Hard to use for older people
- Not the official government transport app
It's a must if you can round in Sydney on buses
It's a great app
It’s not Free, asks for $4.99 per month
Popped up with free for 7 Days then monthly fee of $4.99 😒 my tax dollars paid for an app that should be free, get your act together TNSW
Redesign broken
Can’t enter locations other than my home address and places on the one bus route here .. can’t plan trips to anywhere else or from anywhere else. It is now totally useless for me!!
Could be so much better
Having just returned from Perth, I’d suggest TfNSW look into licensing or copying TransPerth’s app. It’s free, saves and lists favourite places, memorises journeys and is generally far more user friendly. Why do we have to pay for this app? It’s also clunky compared to Perth’s.
Not user friendly
How hard is it to make this easy to use? Trying to work a sample trip Morisset to Kurri Kurri and back a day in advance. It’s clumsy, there is no easy way to use it - and if you’re in your older years, forget it.
love it

Gave me the wrong schedule
Doesn’t update. Made me miss a train cause it didn’t have the alert. Looked on trip view and it was there… using trip view instead now
How about widgets? A map, even? Pretty great app!
I think this app does get the job done without over-complicating the app. I quite like e simplistic design - I think they should keep it the way it currently is, but a more like the Transit app’s home page - it looks real nice. As a student, I really do believe that it could use some overall improvements, which is why I rate this app 4 stars. 1st thing - Live activities. This is actually beneficial. If I ever have to catch a bus or train, it’ll be right on the Lock Screen of my iPhone - much more seamless and user friendly, offering a great overall user experience. Secondly - widgets. Most widgets that I find from other apps do not show what I’d like to see - my buses, my saved route and how long it would take to get there. I am aware that Opal Travel has one, but - for gods sake - it looks pretty basic and unappealing. If whoever designed this app creates a widget, please maintain the simplistic design you currently have - not over complicated, yet aesthetically pleasing. Third thing - a map, revealing all the stations or bus stops nearby, clearly representing the closest option to the user. This is a no brained, to be honest. Fourth thing - ads. Seriously? I know it’s profitable, but it definitely ruins the user experience. Please get rid of them. I already love how Opal Travel doesn’t have any ads - it really brings the joyfulness of experiencing the app to another level. Can you compete with Opal? Best, Dammnnn
Issues with app
I can’t find a way to select the date I want to travel. The departing station keeps changing to my destination so I get no information. So this is actually useless
Easy for high school
I’m going into high school and it was terrifying thinking about catching trains but with trip planner it’s so easy! There aren’t any ads and honestly I love it! It’s similar to the website, but easier to access.
Ln
This was great when it was free. This is for public transport, it should be free!
Bombarded by adds
Difficult to use this app due to endless pop-up advertisements overriding your search
Great app!
Great app
Can’t get it to search
Put in departure point, destination and time. App won’t then actually do the search.
New format is terrible
Used to be good. New format is clunky, slow and difficult

Rubbish from the very 1st minute
I downloaded this app, first thing it asks you is upgrade- for a fee?!?! Then in planner it allows you to enter start location but freezes when you enter destination. No good!
Buggy !
I have a difficult time using this app. It’s buggy and not intuitive
Horrible app !
Ads overwriting the trip info I’m trying to access. Very frustrating.
Stupid update
Why has the latest update removed the ability to track arrivals from designated spots? That was the only useful aspect of the app.
Dodgy!
This is not the official transport app. Do not use this app
It needs a realtime map like AnyTrip and trip view
I can’t see where the bus stop is, and I can’t see where the bus is. It’s okay
Not good
Not good
OK but does for a fee what Opal Travel does for free.
I guess set up to get those who are not so observant when downloading. Generates a nice but small earner for the developer at $1.99 per month until folks bail.
better elsewhere
terrible, ad covers entire app making it unusable
Where are the maps ?
As an interstate user I have found this app very frustrating. If you don’t know the exact route , you don’t appear to be able to get a map to help. I know 373 buses from years ago - but not where the stops have moved to. Also the light rail - new - ? Where is the start in Randwick ??? Needs maps or if it has them / need to be obvious. Translink Brisbane much better app.
Disgusting with ads
The ads is deadend, no way out
