Did not work
Unfortunate majority of the time I tried to use the app I was getting root message about "network issues" within the app (I had no trouble using any other app or accessing the internet on the phone). Also I had paid for the Pro account which is active until 2027 yet this stopped working after a few weeks of not using the app as I was travelling away from Sydney and when I came back to use it I kept being asked to sign up Pro again. When the app worked it was good but sadly it just didn't work majority of the time.

Late as always. Driver was 10 mins late waiting on his phone before he decided to start the service. Rough ride - heavy on the breaks. Half the lights on the bus not working. Dirty and scratched windows.

Ok so I really like how you set it out it’s just it is a little confusing and I am just a kid so I might not understand what it says but I’m slowly learning

Least reliable transport app
Over 50 percent of the trips that I have taken have given completely inaccurate ETA’s of when the transport was arriving at the stop. Some of the ETA’s are completely made up and a bus wouldn’t even turn up.
Useful - some improvements
I moved to using Sydney over Citymapper when the latter stopped working smoothly, it would no longer allow me to click on a bus stop or station to see the live departures. That has started happening on this Sydney app, with no train departures listed for Circular Quay station. Please check. An improvement would be to allow users to include their walking pace. I can do this on the transport website but not the app. Adding a quick walking pace can change a journey and shorten time significantly

This app does not reflect the real on time running of the buses.

In my personal experience I have experienced uncorrected times buses not by 2 mins but like 10 mins!

Used to be a great and reliable app
I’ve used this app for many years however in the past year, it’s become unreliable, it only directs you to take multiple modes of transport to get to a location which you can get to only taking one and no matter what you do, it won’t show the fastest or best option to get to a location.
Incorrect information on some connections
The app is useful in most instances, but just be aware that some of the connection information is incorrect. An annoying glitch. For example, this morning I caught an earlier than usual train from Edgecliff. The app told me the train would arrive at Central on platform 8 and that the next connection was from platform 25. When in fact the train arrived at platform 25 and my next connection was from platform 18.

Paid for nothing
I paid for Pro after the live times and how busy a bus is wasn’t appearing in the app this week - everything was showing bus on a schedule. No difference for the Pro version … confused what I paid for.
Improve the App
Would be better with exact location of bus stop. i.e. Matin Place and Elisabeth is much better than Martin Place alone...

Not very user friendly.
It’s ok. Better than nothing
I only use this for busses. It’s good because it shows you the different bus routes you can take to get to your destination and the rough timings for each route. However the frustrating part for me is tracking where the bus is. It’s not real time. The location of the bus sometimes doesn’t update for a few minutes and when it does it’s location can jump significantly. Eg: I usually catch the bus at a certain time. It takes about a 5 minute walk to the bus stop so I can usually time it right when the bus is 6 minutes away. But one day I opened the app and the bus location was about 10 minutes away. So I thought I had time. It didn’t update for 5 minutes and when it finally did it was 3 minutes away and I wouldn’t have been able to get there in time. I just don’t get how Uber/uber eats and all these other apps can have real time tracking for but I can’t track a public bus

Charged me $35 without notification!
I visited Sydney for a short holiday and downloaded this app for the free week whilst I was in Sydney. I typed in my bank details but then deleted them prior to submitting as I did not want to provide them. I also thought that I would receive notification when my free trial was up. On returning home to Qld I went to delete the app only to discover that I had been charged $35 for an annual subscription which is of no use to me! I had never entered my bank details on my phone prior to this and never will again. I fail to understand how this money could have been taken out of my account when I did not actually click enter to submit my bank details.
Tries so hard to make you pay
I click on a bus then all of a sudden it’s trying to get me to by premium It used to be perfect so idk why you guys are doing this Idk what your trying to do but your only making me want to stop using this app

This app is very poor
App sends you Toby’s stops that don’t exist. It freezes and it does not choose the most efficient routes. It was once okay but not now. It also bombards you with useless google ads. Give it a miss and find a better app
Doesn’t know when trains replaced by bus
There was a line closure due to maintenance with buses replacing trains. This app had no knowledge of this. I had to use transportnsw.info to get correct info.

And you want people to pay for this. Useless and complicated. Tried to look at timetable from green square in Sydney to central. By the time it took to even get something of value I could have walked there via India

App seems to think where I lived 3 years ago is “home” and there doesn’t seem to be any way to change it. Reinstalling just results in “buy a plan to continue”. No thanks.

Poor choice of method of travel
Since update unable to elect light rail only on mode of travel there is no option only for train and buses, walking etc which is useless because buses rarely run here since the light rail started.

The sydney transport app is a waste of time ghost buses and buses that arrive but not appear on app
No more live bus/train times
I used to love the app so I could track the exact location of the buses to ensure I wouldn’t miss it or that i wouldn’t be waiting 20 minutes for a bus that was delayed. This feature is no more so VERY DISSAPOINTED...
The app is so inaccurate
The times on the app are so incorrect. I was walking to the bus stop at 9.50pm for a 10.07 bus ( according to the app). Yet my bus was already passing me. I checked the app for the next bus. It said 10.45 am. Sure enough the bus arrived at 10.15 am. It’s like Russian roulette
Terrible
The App bears no relation to reality. Even the train signage said the train was going in the wrong direction. In 2024 the App for a public service should be free, easily accessible, accurate and reliable.
