Stopped Working
I need access to my tax files, but the app will not allow me in, as it says I need iOS 14 or higher all of a sudden… I have updated my iOS to 16 and it still gives the same error, and I cannot access my filings (which I need immediately for legal purposes) Thanks…

upgraded by mistake and charged
I have used TurboTax for years. This year my situation was different since I sold my home and bought out a Vehicle I used for my small business. After spending an entire day on TurboTax, I decided to upgrade to get some assistance. I did not realize that the icon on the screen was the only thing I really needed to answer my questions. when I revisited my taxes again today, I signed up for the help I thought I needed. ($60) as I continued on I didn’t receive any extra help so I then chose to upgrade. I check out I was charge $60 plus $150, when all I really needed was to stick with the $70 do it myself and make use of the icon on the screen. After using TurboTax for all these years I did not understand that was complementary. I was under the impression that accessing the expert help resulted in an additional charge. There was no way of me removing the addition $60+$150 at checkout, even though I did not use the features. THE IS FRUSTRATING and NOT USER FRIENDLY! When I called in to TurboTax the agent suggested I wait 24 hours and called back for some resolution. I am hoping TurboTax proves to be helpful in rectifying my situation by offering a refund for the additional fees. Thank you, J Rodgers

It works for me.
I have used Turbo Tax for the last 3 years or so. It seems to do a good job using the app. I have nothing to really compare it to however, so it might be a good idea to compare it to an alternative tax service before you file. As I only have a basic return most years, I am satisfied with the service. Thanks Turbo Tax.
Needs work
There’s no clarification if you’ve filed and finished your taxes. I “finished” my taxes in April, I “filed” them this August when I was confused where my return was. I found that double checking everything is worth it especially since this app doesn’t have reminders or much in the way of clarification.
Higher fee than expected
First time using TurboTax. It was fairly easy to complete taxes, but I had questions regarding ‘lump sum payments’ and ‘ON-BEN’. Telephone support was adequate however, this incurred an additional $100 charge to the $60 premium plan initially purchased. Much higher than the fees charged by ufile.
Was better last year
It was harder to do this year. Not enough free coaching and tips. Donations hard to find.

Had a very hard time understanding the representative’s english on the phone.

Frustrated
I ordered my Turbo tax while I was away and unfortunately ordered the wrong package. I didn’t attempt to file my taxes until I got home in June. After I finished I tried to submit them but Turbo Tax wouldn’t allow me to. After many attempts I went back to Costco to say it wouldn’t work but they do not allow return for Turbo Tax. I spoke with someone at Turbo Tax and they said it was too late to do anything about it. All I wanted to do was exchange for the proper package, no money returned, but she said I couldn’t do that. I’m very disappointed because now I had to purchase the proper one. Why wouldn’t you just do an exchange, you already had my money? Deborah Kemp
Software problem?
Overall the program worked well. The exception was that it often would not open on my iPad (ios version 26.3.1) and I would have to use my iPhone to continue. This wasted a lot of my time.

My computer is outdated and I was hesitant to use my phone, but the app was super duper easy and straightforward. I just have simple taxes though. Highly recommend!!
ABSOLUTE TRASH
I’ll be getting penalties this year thanks to TurboTax! When I tried to finish my taxes it just kept going in an endless circle or nothingness. I thought my taxes were finalized months ago. I should get a full refund from TurboTax. What a load of garbage. Never will I file with turbo tax again.

Charges
I filed a basic return as I have for several years, cost of $30, this year it said I used an expert which I did not knowingly do, however it would not allow me to correct it, it took almost a hour if not more to reach a LIVE HUMAN to talk to, who then after all the talk about ease of filing had to remotely access my iPad to correct the problem, not a happy customer!! Your customer service lady made it a bit bearable!
