Extremely shameful FX fees and rate
Extremely shameful fees and rate. Confusing user experience as well.
Future Payments
App is genting is Easter to use, but still have room for improvement - one example is future payments. Not able to see future payments on App.

my account is locked chat staff can't resolve I went bank at TRX, but can't I gave up and use ATM.
Apps is not so user friendly
It confusing to navigate and to find features, for example the change transfer limit, the instruction on the FAQ apps is not tally with what is being presented on the apps. Compared to other bank apps, this apps is the one that give confusing interface, too simple yet not effective for end user.

Adding of payee in suit now.
Not so user friendly. Had keyed in all data and was prompted that site was under service. So had to KEY IN ALL INFO AGAIN when log in. Prefer to have an option to add in payee only even though the whole process did not go thru. Without this option, I have to key in all the info again every time I log in. Thanks.
Average, not many functions
Only allows you to view your accounts & use Duit Now. I would love to be able to complete internal transfers between my own accounts but this doesn’t seem possible in the app?

For hours from 2330 when using mobile app got “service unavailable”. Help desk nice, but no help.

Unable to setup when changing new phone
Before login at the new phone, the app prompt to remove the device at the old phone (although I not sure why I have to do this, there is no other banking app ask to do so when I login using the new phone) so I removed the device at the old app and try to login at the new device, here the nightmare come. I can’t login at neither old or new device, the error shown that I have existing device registered! What a brilliant advice and now I’m stuck, trying to change the device at internet banking but can’t find any option, trying to chat but the chatbot is useless. HSBC really always amaze me in a bad way and make me always remember how bad is their customer experience… What a standard of the world local bank???? Worst bank ever!!!
Service unavailable
Seems to be a lot of “Service unavailable” messages as soon as opening the app recently which block all functions of the app, including those functions which shouldn’t really need service access - such as generating Logon codes to access the website… As a result “Service unavailable” in the app even prevents logon to the website since no logon code can be generated.
App is not user friendly
1. can’t log into hsbc.com.my if I don’t have a second device. Sometimes access is required to increase transfer limit. 2. Unable to see total relationship balance and expiry of TD in the app.

Online banking is very feasible and easy to use.. fantastic!
Terrible app
Very little functionality. Not even a function to pay credit card bill. U can only transfer money to your credit card account which is taken as request and is performed a day later!!!! Archaic!

What is wrong with you guys
The app says there’s a new version available to download and only allows me to update before using the app. But the app store didn’t have any update about it??? Can you guys please be more aware about issues like this? Is this how the big corporate treat their users?

Oh my god ridiculously crappy
How ridiculous can this bank be? You don’t allow the mobile banking app to be used in more than one device! You penalise people who change phones and cannot access their old phones. Your customer service takes forever to get through - I have tried a few times and each time I was put on hold for 3 hours. Get your acts right!

Transfer error
App initially failed to do a transfer saying there was an error but not clear what the error was and no code visible. Cancelled transfer and started again. Successful second time.

Unbelievably bad banking app
I was forced to change to mobile app because HSBC do not want to issue me a physical token anymore. However, throughout the past 3 months, so many times when I need to check the balance and perform transfer, I was not able to do so. It always got stuck at the launch page and closed automatically. So this useless app is a digital token when I log-in to their banking site, how to perform fund transfer without the “great HSBC” digital token? By the way, the review showed as 4.5/5, while I saw all one star reviews, where did these 4.5 comes from? Is it all the staff were told to download and rate it 5 stars? I am utterly shocked how this bank created such an useless app… imagine, I have an app but I need to perform many other functions using the web rather than the app… thumbs down.
