Great App
I’ve tried several journaling apps over the years and Diarium meets my needs by far. Even better is that there’s no ongoing subscription.
Didn’t let me do ANYTHING
I thought this would be great but no. I downloaded it but guess what . I tried to put a picture of Shelly on the random page that it gives you about some first diary entry sh- but then guess what Where is my picture? Then I tried drawing it instead… but guess what. NOTHING
Excellent, but….
I really like this app. It has pretty much everything that I have been looking for and I use it to record mundane events (as a “when did I last…?” app) and diary/journal/social events. The one thing I don’t like - and this is purely a personal opinion - is the inability to manipulate photos within an entry. In other words, if I have, say, a journal entry for a particular day and if a lot happened that day, there may be 10 or more photos that I want to include. At present (and I don’t know whether there are plans to address this), all photos appear along the bottom of the entry. This is similar to Card Diary, where the photos are along the TOP. As a journal, I also use Diarly. There, I can place (and manipulate) photos in and around the text of an entry. So, if I have a paragraph about a particular event, I can include a photograph relating to that event within that paragraph. However, I like the interface of this app far more than that of Diarly. This app is cleaner and simpler to use and, at the initial level, sets out the data better. Again, purely as a personal opinion, an ability to manipulate photos within the app would make it pretty much impossible to replace. It is only for this personal preference that I haven’t awarded the app 5 stars, which it probably deserves. UPDATE: Thanks to the developer for getting back to me so quickly. As I suspected, adding the ability to manipulate photos presents its own unique challenges. I do hope that this could become a feature in the future. Notwithstanding this, Diarium has become, and will remain my main app for setting out the notes, photos and data relating to my routine events and my travel and social events and I can heartily recommend it.
为什么今年不再同步Mac了？
去年买的专业版说终生使用，iPhone上写的Mac上确实同步了，但是今年写的手机显示已同步到iCloud了，但电脑打开就没同步，还提示我不是专业版，不是说不限制设备吗？

Love love this journal app
Diarium has everything that I’m looking for in a journal app, including the On This Day. I’ve used the app for less than a week and have no issues. I love that it’s available on both iOS and Mac. This app encourages me to write a journal entry daily which has always been my goal. This price is also very reasonable. I recommend giving this journal app a try!
Used to enjoy the app
Two days ago I was able to sync across devices, and now I have to pay more for a premium version to sync? One great way to lose customers is to have them pay for the app and it’s features, only to later take those features away from them and ask for more money to get them back. That is absolutely atrocious customer service. I should be able to use the app that I initially paid for in the way that was promised to me before I paid for it. If I knew this was going to happen I would not have bought the app. I want my money back. Great job, guys.
Criticism
There is no way to search for entries that I can see. For example, a word search for “snow” or “investments”. I often need to refer to a specific event. Other than that, I like the app.
Leider keine Mitnahme bei Gerätewechsel
Habe mein Samsung gegen ein iPhone getauscht und konnte mein Diary, welches ich seit Jahren nutze, leider nicht auf mein iPhone bringen, ohne dafür ordentlich bezahlen zu müssen. Hab aber vor Jahren schon einmalig gezahlt. Das finde ich nicht richtig. Jetzt muss ich für mein Diary immer mein Samsung benutzen. Das will ich aber eigentlich nicht. Ich will nur noch mein iPhone nutzen. Gibt’s da eine Lösung?

いくつかの日記アプリを試し比べてみたが、総合的にデザインがとても好い。JourneyやDay One、Diarlyよりは好き。ただ気になるところも多い。特に操作性が気になる。 要望 - エントリーの移動を左右か上下スワイプでしたい - エントリーのない日はスキップしたい - エントリーの表示は左右にもう少し余白があった方が読みやすい - 新規エントリーボタンは画面下部に欲しい - カレンダーからエントリーを選ぶとき、画面遷移せずにエントリーを読みたい。カレンダー上での日付の位置を確認しながら読みたい - つまりAndroid版にある上部がカレンダー、下部がエントリーという表示レイアウトを使いたい - 検索してエントリーを全画面表示、そのままエントリーの移動をすると、検索の意味が関係なくなる。検索の中で移動したい - ハイライト機能はアプリのテーマにより文字が見えにくくなることがある。例えば、ダークモード時に黄色のハイライトだと文字が白色なので読めない - 「タグを追加」をタップ時に、タグが並んでて欲しい
Really great!
I have spent hours looking for some kind of good diary app, and I had certain things in my mind as far as what I wanted them to do. I tried out several, and none of them were very close to what I had in mind. They were too bulky, too labor intensive to use and just didn’t feel intuitive to me, and this one is pretty close to what I would’ve designed if I knew how to write software myself.
Impossible to delete!
I want to delete all data and close the account- there is no way to do this

No proper search within an entry
You offer so many features, but totally ignored the simple most important feature that we actually need! Search within a journal entry. For example, when I search for a word, it shows up instantly. But the real problem is when I click the entry, it does not take me directly to that word. I am forced to scroll all the way down the entry to find that word. This is especially inconvenient and a hassle if my journal entry is even slightly long. First ask ur team to use the journal themselves to understand practical usage. Features and design isn't everything.
Brauchbare App
Und die Webversion fehlt leider. Ich verstehe dies in der jeutigen Zeit nicht, dass die software im microsoft store gekauft werden muss! Und wehe man versucht dann das Ganze auf zwei oder drei Geräten zum laufen zu bringen - auf jeden Fall ich habe es nicht geschafft und musste die software nochmals neu herunterladen. Zudem ist an meinem Arbeitsplatz der microsoft store gesperrt - also nix mit PC Texteingaben; es darf mühsam auf dem Handy geschrieben werden. Auch passiert es beim Synchronisieren das plötzlich zwei mal die Überschriften. wie: heute erledigt etc auftauchen. Darum leider nur 3 Sterne und noch ziemlich verbessereungswürdig.
Best I’ve found
This works across devices ( iPhone and ipad mini) smoothly. It seems to have found old entries from apps I used a while back as well and incorporated them without fanfare. It’s perfect for me.
Don’t Buy Pro if you’re trying to sync with a MacBook
The whole reason I downloaded this app was so that I could have a journaling app that I could write on both my phone and my laptop. The free trial worked fine so when it asked me to upgrade to pro, I went for it. Well now it turns out I have to buy pro on both devices because the App store on MacBook and the one on iPhone are separate even though it’s the same Apple account. So buying it on one device is basically worthless and I have to spend twice the amount of money for the one feature I wanted to use.
Good app so far
I initially downloaded this app for camping trying to find something I could use to record our adventures with pictures and memories. So far this app does that and is free which is the best part and they do have a one time payment to have the full version I think I’m not to sure I haven’t looked into that yet. If you’re wanting to be able to save photos to your day of journaling then this is the app for you. I like that there is a calendar so you can click back on the day you want to edit or reread and look back at work you did. Anyways hope you enjoy I am so far. It does work for iOS computer with iOS android and regular computers and tablets only thing I don’t know yet that I need to look further into I know you have to purchase it for each device. I think if you want to transfer your stuff to each device, but I’m not 100% sure so that’s something I have to look into. But all in all the app is free you don’t have to purchase the one time fee. I think it’s only for if you’re gonna transfer your journaling for each day to other devices. I also forgot to mention that when your journaling on like a specific day, let’s pick today 4/30/26 for instance it does show the location I was at when I did my entry and the weather and you can add like a rating to the day so one through five stars so I do like that a lot.
Good but…
Having to buy licenses on each device (multiple win/ios) in order to sync the calendar makes it useless. I may as well stick with each platform’s calendar app.
Almost perfect!
I’ve been searching for an app to document my events, photos, and videos — almost like a digital album. This app comes very close to meeting all my needs. While it doesn’t offer everything I was hoping for, I still decided to give it a try. I don’t mind paying separately for each platform as long as it’s a one-time purchase and the pricing is fair — which this app seems to offer. My concern isn’t about cost. I truly appreciate the effort and care the developers have put into this project, and that’s what motivated me to explore it further. Perhaps this app wasn’t originally designed for the specific use I have in mind. But if the following points are addressed, I would definitely purchase the Premium version for both my iPhone and Windows PC: 1. Photo and video order: Once media is added to an entry, it can’t be reordered. The only option is to delete and re-upload everything in the desired order. 2. Image tagging: Tags can only be applied to the event or entry itself — not to individual photos. 3. Individual media descriptions: It’s not possible to add separate descriptions for each photo, video, or file. The only workaround is renaming the file, which creates a duplicate. Thank you again for your work on this app. I hope this feedback is helpful.

Deliberate misleading app
This app automatically gives you a trial of paid version. There is no way to test just the free functions. You use it unbeknownst, then when the trial ends you have all this data you have entered and it can no longer sink so you have to buy the product. this is a deliberate, misleading business model. Should be able to use the free version to see whether it does what you want.

This is so close to being the app I wanted. I've been looking forever for a calendar style notes app, but with Pen support. I want to hand write my notes and not have it converted to text. If you could add hand writing input that'd be so great. I don't want to have to import screenshots everyday.

i love this app. ive had it for a couple years. i did decide to buy the subscription so i can add multiple attachments to a day and i love it. im pretty sure it was a small one time payment. for a simple and useful app like this, i was happy to pay. i use this app to record audio diaries. it’s amazing self therapy and i love that it send notifs about what you added on that day x years ago. i also like that you can password protect and change the colors and personalize it. i like being able to add pics and i like that it has the moon phase for the day on it too! i highly recommend!!!

Have found this app useful for my journaling. It has all the bells and whistles it needs and syncs across iCloud as you would expect it to.
Pro Version
Habe die Pro Version auf 2 iPhone geladen um es dann auch mit dem iPad synchronisieren können Beide auch bezahlt. Bei einem iPhone ist die. Synchronisation mit dem iPad nach 7 Tag nicht mehr möglich. Mann kann die Pro Version nicht laden. Das Ganze fängt wieder von vorgebe an.
Good app however
Beware that you will have to buy a premium version for each platform you want to use the app on separately, i.e. macOS and iOS are considered separate platforms hence you’re gonna pay double if you want to use it on both.
The best app I have bought
Years ago, I began journaling with the Day One app when you could buy the app. Then Day One moved to a subscription model which I felt was overpriced. And then I discovered this app and it had the ability to import my Day One data. This app works great. It allows me to save the database on a cloud service of my choosing. I know where my data is.
Great App
Great app for day to day tracking. Mood, events, tasks etc. Bullet journaling. Can also create other templates for Travel, Nature observations or similar.

Excellent Diary App
After a few years of trying other big name diary apps, I found Diarium. This is a wonderful, fast and full featured app I actually use throughout the day. It is completely reliable, fast to sync and works perfectly on my iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPad and 16” M2 MacBook Pro. Thanks to the developers of this excellent app I rely on every day.

Nice Journal App
Tried various journal apps over the last month or so and it was a toss up between this one and Day One; both are missing features and Day One has some annoying bugs. So I paid for this one as it works the best and has most of the features I was looking for and without breaking the bank (one time payment rather than a subscription). Looking forward to having the missing features added at some point (once added I will update the rating to 5 stars). Update: Missing features are as already covered on your forums; these being calendar swipe, tables, checklists and multiple diaries/journals. None are show stoppers, but will make it feature rich and in line with the likes of Day One.

I have been using the App for a few weeks now and am very impressed. Having previously used Day One with an annual subscription, which doesn’t apply to this app. The only things I am missing are the suggestions, and the ability to create annual journals. But overall very happy.
