Essential app for myself
As a power user of Adobe Applications, I’ve grown tired of remembering absolutely every keyboard shortcut, with many of them requiring finger gymnastics. Across the different applications, there are hundreds. These shortcuts are essential for optimising usage of the applications. Touch portal has removed the pain of keyboard shortcuts by allowing me to move whichever shortcuts I choose, to an icon on my iPad screen placed next to my keyboard. This has been a lifesaver. Additionally, I’ve created little Automator scripts that allow me to rate music in Apple Music by tapping an icon on my iPad and add tracks to specific playlists, all through Touch Portal. I absolutely love Touch Portal, and know that my usage of using it for keyboard shortcuts is just scratching the surface of what it can do. Am surprised this gem of a tool isn’t more widely known as I couldn’t recommend it any higher. It’s easily in my top 3 apps on my iPad Pro, that I use daily.
Really bad
Limited functions for in app!

Fatta bene
Not working on ipad pro
The app crashed and since then, it either keeps crashing, or it doesnt connect to the desktop app. I deleted and reinstalled the app, restarted ipad and pc, but the problem persists. I am now paying the subscription for nothing.
Perfect for Flight Sims
The IPad app is perfect for using with a flight sim. The pages can be set up for different control categories. I bought all the add ins on offer straight away. This app is so flexible and is a fantastic and much better option to hardware like Steam Deck.
Can’t purchase Pro!
This app is amazing, but every time I try to purchase the pro upgrade the price is listed as ?.?? and won’t let me get any further. The app truly would be 5* without the limitations of the free version, so the purchases need to be fixed
Start niet via internetadapter
Prima app.
Doesn’t work 100%
I love the concept of this product and I’m trying to use it all the time but it doesn’t always produce the desired result. Sometimes a string of ‘virtual keystrokes’ doesn’t seem to execute in full producing some unintended results that I have to undo or back out of. Sometimes pressing the same button a couple of times works … but not often enough. I would also like it to work off a tethered connection rather than just wi-fi
Highly rated
As long as you understand making automation settings it works perfect for me. It’s a cheap stream deck, recommend to install on iPad for more buttons + you can get button packs online and tutorials
Had an issue, then an issue, then another issue
Constantly having problems with this software. I first downloaded it from some Reddit post advertising it, instantly the UI just looked terrible, but that’s pretty common for crappy apps like this one. I downloaded it on my Mac, which also didn’t have a very nice first impression, and then scanned for it, but nothing was found. Tried again, restarted the app and tried changing the port. Still nothing. Then I thought there may be some odd way to start it that the tutorial didn’t make clear, so I pressed the Device Not Connected thing in the bottom right. Just guess what happens next. My entire pc instantly crashed. Lovely.
Works and Up to date with Windows
I won’t waste you time, the app works 110%, I am a developer and rarely I get impressed from other developers. This one is not only well thought but also obvious it has taken in lots of feedback and made it excellent. A user claimed the app uses an old installer that needs to reboot blah blah. Nothing could be more uninformed like that comment. The reboot has to do with security of windows as the app uses certain API for network access. I stream and do a rather complex work with online and offline (music composition) and I can assure you this is a diamond app that you can use with ANY software, jump from pc app to app, and do EVERYTHING! Buy it.
Unreliability makes it useless
The desktop application needed for this to work is a horribly slow Java 8 application that often fails to start, and consumes 500MB+ of RAM when it does. It also uses one of those nasty old installers that requires your PC to reboot. “Support” seems to be crowdsourced from other users via Discord, who are of course no help in circumventing the many bugs. I strongly recommend you do not pay for this app; see if the concept works for you then buy a proper Streamdeck.
Flaky
Flaky .. can only connect more that 3 iOS devices at the same time .. and it’s really hit & miss over WiFi. Must be my set-up as others seem to be OK.
It is cheaper than a streaming deck
The idea is great and the app works. Sometimes I do notice flaws in the app: Playing Media can be delayed by more than 10 seconds; running sound files and syncing them with an action does not work always; you are not able to chose the transition and the duration when switching scenes. Will update rating if those features might be introduced. Overall the app works and is a simple stream deck for little money.
Amazing tech help
So I saw many reviews about how good this app is, so I downloaded but had issues trying to connect to my pc. There is a discord page for this app and I must say it’s a great community. I ended up spending a little time with touch portal tech guy to basically make sure that my devices could ‘talk’ to each other. He took time out to help me and got it working. I don’t know many other companies that would do that. Great app and great service all for free. I will be upgrading for sure, just want to write this (and only time I have) review. Must get this! Don’t hesitate!
No
Couldn’t get it to connect. Utterly useless.
Top App
great app experienced nothing but good things from it!
I upgraded straight to the PRO version and is 100% worth it. I don’t understand the negative reviews it’s received because it’s been running great no crashes. I mostly been using it to control my OBS stream, Spotify and Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator and MANY MORE!!!
Laggy
Extremely laggy, actions from ios cause desktop version to become unresponsive. I won't be buying Pro.
Bom
Not connecting
I cant connect the app to the desktop application. Java is already on firewall list and program too. Keep searching...
Does everything an elgato stream deck does, but way, way cheaper.
This is my one stop shot for stream control. I use this for streaming from one to twitch. It’s so easy to use and set up, and so handy to have it on my phone. The ability to customise the icons and layouts on the fly is amazing. 100% would recommend!!!
Update broke the app.
Same old. Grid lay outs are borked with this update.
Doesn’t work behind a vpn,
Pro : Very great app, high level of customization, dev is very reactive Cons : USB not yet supported on iOS, doesn’t work behind a VPN
Unbelievably difficult to use
They couldn’t make this app and harder to use if they tried. When it works, it’s great, but you will pull your hair out just trying to figure it out.
Idee sehr gut
Funktioniert alles soweit ganz gut.
Perfect for streaming
I control my stream using this connected to OBS Studio. Much cheaper than buying a stream deck.
Don’t get

Fair
This app is good if you don’t want to buy a stream deck. The only problem I have had is I can swap pages. But fully worth the $14 aus
I’d give 6 stars if I could
Forget the Stream Deck! This is a great app and these guys keep adding new features to it. They’re quick to respond to any issues on Discord. Well worth the price for Pro. It’s not just a Stream Deck killer. I use it as a mixer and for my Adobe Creative Suite work too
Crashes OBS + over-complicated to use!
This software is ridiculously complicated to setup. Plus, when everything works it crashes my live-stream. Don’t waste your time!
Just what I wanted
It does everything I wanted and more especially with the new low level key presses in Windows which allow lots of actions in Office all in Touch-Portal without needing macros at all. Custom glyphs for buttons are very easy to create.
Disappointed
Highly disappointed tbh it will not connect at all
Connectivity
This worked for me for a solid 3-4 months then now the app seems to not work on my phone
