Very disappointing experience from start to finish.
I was charged unfairly due to a parking issue caused by the app/system, yet when I raised my concerns, the response I received was cold and dismissive. What frustrated me most was being told that my refund was a "courtesy." It was not a courtesy. The refund was money that should never have been charged in the first place. There were other bikes, including Voi bikes, parked in the same location, so it made no sense that I was not allowed to end my ride there and was instead required to cycle several more minutes to another parking spot. This resulted in additional charges being applied to my account. To be clear, I am not disputing the cost of my original 26-minute ride. I accept that my ride time had expired. My complaint is about the extra charge taken from my card because of the parking issue, which I believe was completely unfair. The poor customer service and lack of accountability have left me feeling undervalued as a customer. I will not be using this company again.

Great in theory
Voi - extend the zone in Edinburgh, its desperately in need of more parking spaces. Trying to park a bike in the area I live after 10pm is impossible and I have to walk 20 mins from the closest available spot. Totally defeats the purpose of what is otherwise a great idea. Please work on this!!!

It was my first time using their bike. I was charged £13 for a 30 minutes ride. Because of a pause I had in between and was not aware that I was being charged for every paused minutes. They should have a fair solution for the paused minutes.

Had a rough time voi-ing in Edinburgh- app issues, bike issues - including a bike dying and me having to take it up a hill as no chat or phone support for emergencies. Lime and Forrest much better bikes and control Of vehicle
Buggy app / server
I am very unhappy with this service. I could not return my bike because the app said “we have issues on our side - pls try again later”. In the end they charged me 10 Pounds because it was registered as an abandoned ride. Also support was not helpful, they told me the reason was because the parking space was full. Very unfortunate when the app / server is so buggy and only says “try again later”. Edit: In the end I got reimbursed for 30 min, so half the abandoned bike wait time. So support showed merci. But still the app is very buggy - I often can‘t see bicycles on the map or the booking / returning is not working. Looks like they should invest in more powerful servers

Guaranteed Headache
Unhelpful customer service. I selected for a deal and then was overcharged, they told me that it was my fault and that I didn’t click to pay for the deal when I 100% did!!! Friends have previously told me that they have issues every time they use them. I will never use the service again!

So finde ich das alles ganz gut mit der App und dem Scooter. Aber was mich stört ist für neue Nutzer müssen erst mal ein paar Fahrten fahren, damit sie fünf Scooter für die Gruppenfahrt gleichzeitig nehmen können. Ich würde mir wünschen, wenn da für neue Nutzer angezeigt wird Wie viele Gruppen farten Sie noch vor sich haben, damit sie fünf fahren können.

Nice bikes but can’t park
Bikes are good, but had a nightmare parking. Found a good spot by Primrose hill but it wouldn’t accept. Sent me far away to a new spot. When I arrive it says it’s full. Had to go almost a mile out and walk back to my destination. Sadly the Chinese products (like Alipay bikes) are much better currently.

Been using these for months. Not had a bad experience yet. Bikes are good quality. Very robust. Price is very affordable. Lots of bikes available. They are well maintained in terms of tyres and batteries. Sometimes it can be awkward finding accepted parking places but you can get round this by planning ahead from the app. Sometimes you need to close and reopen the app to clear glitches but that’s no real trouble. I want these to be usable nationwide. I want to be able to take a Voi bike city to city. Or from Edinburgh to Dalkeith. All power to ya! Voi! Voi! Voi!
Very inconvenient
I’m often unable to end my ride at the same location where I rented the bike, even though there are always many Voi bikes parked there. Because of this, I have to ride around 10 minutes to another parking area just to end the ride. This is extremely inconvenient and also means I have to spend extra time and money simply because the app won’t allow me to return the bike to the place where I picked it up. Voi should either allow returns at these locations or clearly indicate before starting the ride that returning there is not possible.

Incredibly unreliable
When Voi was introduced to my city I was very excited - some great elements to it such as discounts for using a helmet, decent enough bikes. But it’s become unusable. When the city is busy it’s impossible to unlock / drop off a bike in the centre due to poor signal. I’ve reserved so many then been unable to unlock them, so I’m worried they’ll disable this feature for me. There are also rarely enough bikes in residential areas in the morning, or in the centre in the afternoon/evening. It’s a good idea, but doesn’t really work here for people using the bikes to get into the city to work
Questionable and Unfair Charging System
Very questionable charging system. I had a journey of 4:02 and was charged for 5 full minutes, yet another journey lasted 3:40 and I was charged £1.08. So they round up when you’re seconds over a minute, but still charge by the second when you’re under. Even more concerning, receipts only show whole minutes, not seconds. My 3:40 journey appears as “4 minutes” on the receipt. When I challenged this on live chat, I was told my journey was 4 minutes, despite it actually being 3:40. This makes it extremely difficult for customers to verify exactly what they are being charged for. In my experience, the system seems designed to favour Voi whichever way the journey time falls. Customers should be shown the exact ride duration and charged in a clear and consistent way.

I cannot believe some of the poor reviews here. I absolutely love these bikes in Edinburgh. If I’ve ever had parking issues or unable to find a spot, the chat has helped me to end my ride. I only wish there were more.
Bikes limited to 15km/h
No matter how much effort you put in, if you're down a valley and you're not going faster than 15 km/h... The bikes are limited, you can't go faster

Incomplete bikes but iOS app is only letting me see bikes in batches, even when im fully zoomed in. Whats the point of this if I can’t see every bike, its charge status and being able to reserve them?

Gibt genug Scooter, wovon die meisten auch in einem okayen Zustand sind. Die App ist an sich intuitiv und performant. Die Performance ist für mich wichtig, weil ich ein altes iPhone mit stark abgenutzter Batterie habe, wodurch entweder viele Apps eingeschränkt oder gar nicht funktionieren. Das Score-System finde ich prinzipiell gut, damit die Leute dazu bewegt werden anständig zu parken. Leider kam es jetzt auch mal bei mir vor, dass ich angeblich falsch geparkt hätte. Ich wüsste aber gerne was der konkrete Grund gewesen ist, da ich der Meinung wär, dass ich den Roller ordentlich geparkt hatte. Kann natürlich sein, dass ich zurecht angeprangert werde, aber ohne zu wissen, was ich falsch gemacht habe, kann ich das verhalten so leider auch nicht ausbessern :(

Ibland fryser appen och det spelar ingen roll vad man gör för att få igång den förutom att ominstallera den gång på gång.
The worse
Where do I begin? First, I think the basic product (the bikes) are not great. The older bikes are uncomfortable and feel unsafe. The new models are better but (for me) still worse than Lime as they are small and though an improvement still don’t feel safe. However, what really finishes them off is the app. It’s fiddly, and prone to error. Its bad enough in Cambridge where they have - unfortunately a monopoly - but It’s extremely poor in London as the P spots are outdated in many places and the app often cliches requiring support so you cannot end rides and they won’t refund. It’s not good enough.

Stort sett veldig bra!
Funker veldig bra. Eneste dumme er om du kjøper et minutt pass, blir du trukket et minutt for hvert påbegynte minutt. Så hvis jeg starter en og kjører i 2 min og 1 sekund, så blir jeg trukket for 3 min. Burde trukket per sekund, i hvertfall på pass. En annen ting vært å merke seg, er at når du laster ned appen trekker de deg 50 kr, men tror jeg får de tilbake, ser ut som det ikke er utbetalt noe for de👍
No assist sometimes
Bike will stop assisting halfway through ride. Has happened to me on multiple bikes.

Aktuell kann man sich anscheind nicht mit einer Telefon Nummer registieren.. egal ob mit +49 oder ohne/mit 0 er sagt immer das die Nummer nicht gültig ist?

Siiiiinnsyke priser! 3-400kr om man skal en snartur innom to butikker og setter turen på pause. Heller ikke et hint av bremser i nedoverbakker. Men i motbakker så bremser de. Dempere er det heller ikke. Det er MYE tryggere å kjøre f.eks V-Sett 10+ og 11+ selv om de går i 100km/t. Nettopp pga tryggheten i bremsene og demperne.

Can’t park in London
If you get a bike in London. You cannot park it anywhere and if you do want to park it in a bay your nearest one is 2 miles away. The point of these bikes is to provide a to b service. Not go from a to b then to c and find alternative transport from c to b. Also scooters are old and broken in London. Some work some don’t it’s pot luck but it’s 50% off so can’t complain really.

It’s a great service. This particular brand of scooter is not as stable and as easy to use as the one other brand I have used in the past, which I think was a lime. P

I’ve tried it out maybe 2 times so far. The second time I connected my phone to the scooter and I couldn’t end the ride, my phone didn’t even say I had started a ride to begin with, but I could still ride the scooter. I rode it for 5 and then got off and parked it. Found out later that they had taken 25€ off my account. I emailed support and they first tried to offer me credits instead of giving me my money back. Kept emailing 1 or 2 more times before I finally got the money back. Honestly, I don’t know of a lot of companies that would do that. Of course it’s the moral thing to do, but I guess most companies would give you the credits and then tell you to shut up about it. I really feel like I was kindly met and understood by customer support. But they do still have some technical things to sort out for sure.
