Stay Away
After I canceled a fueling session and selected a different fueling pump, the app glitched and incorrectly continued to use the previous pump number. When I tried to clear this up with Miles customer service, I was blamed for the incident and threatened with vague contractual penalties should something like this happen again. This is an absurd way to treat a customer. Not one of their tips for avoiding this kind of incident actually applied to my situation. Therefore, it was entirely Mile's fault. I sacrificed my time to refuel the car when I technically didn't need to (it was at 30% or so) and I made sure that Miles lost no money in the mixup. Customer service implied I was a liar and said their systems did not detect any glitch. I find it hard to believe that they have a system so advanced that it can detect that absolutely no glitches occurred in a particular time window, even with a user-interface. I'm pretty sure such technology does not exist. This leaves me with unacceptable legal uncertainty in using the app. What if a more serious glitch occurred but was asserted by Miles not to have occurred? This was only my second time using Miles and I cannot risk my neck continuing to use it. Also, the customer service is extremely bad at reading emails. I had to re-explain what happened several times before they even demonstrated that they correctly understood what I had written. Unfortunately, I never got them to retract their threats, so Miles stands unapologetic in this matter.

kundenservice katastrophal
habe neulich ein Fahrzeug von Miles betankt. das Tanksystem in der app ist abgestürzt - tankstelle erkannte den qr code von miles für den schuldschein nicht an. Der Kundenservice bat mich in Vorkasse zugehen und versprach mir eine Erstattung der Kosten innerhalb von 48stunden oder Miles credits in gleicher höhe - die ich aber nicht benötige. außerdem wurde mir eine Gutschrift der Miete als auch ein Bonus versprochen für die Umstände. Nichts davon ist passiert und auf die lächerlichen 40euro warte ich jetzt schon 5tage. ich habe gerade eine email bekommen dass ich mich bitte noch gedulden muss! ich finde es unfassbar dreist und nicht kundenfreundlich - ich zahle eine Rechnung für ein großes Unternehmen, weil deren System abstürzt ( was meinetwegen passieren kann) und ausser leeren Versprechen und Wartezeit kommt nichts.. Wirklich traurig Miles
Good digital experience but horrible customer service
The digital experience of using the app to find and rent vehicles is very good. Customer service is horrible. You cannot call a number and actually talk to a human. Instead you have to submit tickets, wait several days for a response and at times, the issue isn’t resolved and you simply get an email from the agent. In other words, when things go wrong, it may be weeks and multiple tickets to get it resolved.
Amazing experience
i am using Miles from more then a year and miles didn’t disappointed me. i would like to see more EV cars in M category because of climate change.
Updating payment method impossible
Cc expired. Am getting charged dunning fees although page empty where payment method should be displayed.
Die App ist gut bis auf Ladestation-Suche
Die App ist übersichtlich und meistens funktioniert stabil, aber die Suche und Auswahl der Ladestationen ist echt eine Katastrophe. Die Stationen verschwinden und tauchen wieder auf. Als ich direkt von einer Ladestation der SWD-AG stand wurde mir diese nicht zum Laden angeboten, sondern eine andere 3 Straßen weiter. Als ich dann das Auto auf dem nächsten Freien Parkplatz 3m weiter geparkt habe, tauchte die Station wieder auf. Bitte korrigiere es endlich oder lass eine Ladekarte im Handschuhfach liegen!
Changes that hurt
Overall a decent app; the service itself is of course for a City like Berlin fantastic. But the update that swapped the slider for parking /stop over with a slider for ending rental is for longtime users who book hourly rates a killer. A few times now out of habit I thought I was parking with many hrs and kms left on the package but endet the rental. This is bad. Also - if one paid for 3hrs the rental should not be able to end before. At least there should be a way to reverse the ending of the rental when accidentally ended. In my last case a new driver had booked minutes after I made the mistake a d before I realized it.Hence the latest app version just 2 stars

Charging is still broken
Initiating a charge for an electric car through the app has been broken for several years. If you’re lucky, the car might actually start charging, but this fact is reflected in the app approximately 0% of the time. Which means your rental is stuck in a broken state, repeatedly asking you to confirm the car is charging and failing. I have to call customer service every, single, time. Luckily, they’re always extremely nice and very helpful!
Other people are the problem
The program is great, the app is fine (irritating that the map to find the car you’ve reserved does not readily zoom in and track you as you hunt for the car). The problem is other people who trash the interior and smoke inside the car. By then you’ve gone out of your way to find the vehicle, often dragging kids along, only to unlock and voila the car reeks of smoke. You’re still on the hook for the unlocking fee if you close the session then and there. And then you’ve got to find another car to complete the original errand. Hopefully the source users are held accountable, but that’s hard as it requires both the first user after to report and that person accepting responsibility.

I hate the Miles feeling of being constantly spied on. They track and record your every move. A real downer. Is that even legal? Very intransparent on top… A Chinese company, I suspect

Fängt schon beim Login an. Keine auto completion für Mail Adresse. Dann funktioniert insert von Telefonnummer nicht. Keine Gültige Nummer wegen Lädercode. Kann man auch detektieren. Was habt ihr für Pappnasen als Entwickler.

They have suspended my account for no reason 16 hours before a planned trip. They took no effort in resolving the issue.

Juste parfait !
J'écris ce commentaire parce que cela fait quelques semaines que j'utilise cet application lorsque j'ai besoin d'un véhicule et je peux vous dire que Miles est juste une compagnie en or. Service au top, application simple d'utilisation et surtout souvent des petits promotion qui fais plaisir. Un service qui donne envie de continuer à utiliser leur service. J'ai eu un problème technique sur la route avec un véhicule et tout m'a été remboursé instantanément. Je recommande vivement
Started hanging when I try to unlock a car
This app worked great for me for years, but recently it’s started locking up when I try to unlock a car. I can reserve one fine, but when I try to unlock it the app hangs on either a white screen or the black screen with the miles logo. Killing and relaunching the app doesn’t help, it stays hung on the miles logo screen. Restarting my entire phone (brand new iPhone 16 Pro) worked once but not the last time this happened. App is updated to the latest version, as is iOS. My biggest complaint isn’t the app failures but rather the total lack of contact options to deal with the problem. Support now just goes to a useless ai bot. So: one star review it is.

How to Lose a Customer 101
If you’re from outside the EU/UK (Americans, Aussies, Kiwis, etc) don’t bother downloading this app. Your drivers license is not valid and they will not manually validate it. I’ve had my license for 15+ years and I was rejected. I am in Germany temporarily for work so, there’s no reason to get a German license. I can rent a car from any major car rental agency for days or weeks but not rent a car for one hour? Ooookay.
Great service. Awful ads.
I have no complaints about hiring cars or the ease of use in general. But… Ads constantly pop up pushing the annual plan instead of my current subscription. Getting ads when I’m already subscribed is super annoying and honestly a bit insulting. It gets worse. These ads will actually *block* starting and ending a reservation, which only adds to the frustration. If you’re okay with these ads, go for it. But be prepared for a pretty annoying user experience.

Passez votre chemin sur cette application ça fait 1an et demi que je me suis inscrit sur l’application, comme vous j’étais en règle mais ils me bloquent mon compte sans aucunes raisons. Si vous êtes pas capables de faire du bon travail je vois pas pourquoi vous vous forcez à faire des pubs, à louer des voitures pour que personnes n’y roulent !!! Bref, à éviter.
Horrible experience with Miles
I rented a VW Polo in Berlin last Saturday. Being summer I expected a hot day in Berlin and we decided to book a car and visit the outlet. Everything was fine until we saw the AC in the car was not working and we had our infant in the car with us. I complained to the support after spending €70 for the hottest trip with a car and after 5 days, 5! we got a response saying they provide us with “goodie” ?!
Apple wallet or multiple credit cards?
Hi, when will the app support apple wallet or at least storing multiple credit cards so it’s easy to switch between? Sometimes I rent for business and would like to use a second card for expenses.

La plupart de mes trajets se passent bien. Mais il m’arrive très souvent que je trouve des voitures dans des états déplorables. Il faudrait engager + de personnes pour les nettoyer. Et ça serait très utile d’élargir les zones Miles dans les villes en périphérie de Bruxelles.
Absolutely fantastic app and the service
I was stuck in Munich due to unprecedented snowfall which put the city in chaos and transportation paralysis. No planes, no trains to get out. I am from Norway and when I heard of this car rental app I thought it will not be possible for me to use it. But to my surprise I was able to sign up, make pictures of my drivers license and my passport, find a car and rent it to drive to Stuttgart from where I could reach Frankfurt for my next flight. Super happy I found this app and I wish there was something like this on Norway!
Terrible
Works okay for the occasional ride. But once you use them a lot, you see the flaws: - Most cars are in very poor condition inside and out - They have a ton of hidden fees: for example, if you add the extra insurance for €1, but then upgrade your time spent with the car to a day rate, you are automatically charged 5-10 euros for insurance without being notified. - If you get a parking ticket with one of their cars, they charge you 30 euros “processing fee” just to open the letter and scan it - If you add a payment method, you are automatically charged 50 euros top up - if you end your ride after 1 day and 5 minutes, you are charged for 2 days despite not having access to the car anymore. - the unbelievably bad customer service multiplies all of these issues, making you so angry that you hate the entire company and reconsider your choice to not own a car

The passport scan issue doesn’t work for some reason. Can’t use the app.
Great service with some sketchy km counting
Doesn’t accurately count Kilometers and counts inconsistently. I drive the exact same route several times a week for two years now, picking up a car from the same carshare parking spot and driving it the same route to another regular parking spot. Miles charges between 2-4 km without rhyme or reason. (For the record, this route according to google maps is 2,7km). I have noticed if you turn off the automatic stop while driving (so the car is always on, even at stoplights) it will charge less kilometers. Another way Miles skims a bit of extra money is to sometimes not unlock the car after you unlock it and the rental is running. The only way to get in is to put the car on parking mode and then resume ride, which is an extra 0,29 or so. No one has time to go back and contest all these small amounts, so they add up after awhile. Now, after the last update, I can’t even open the app sometimes, it just hangs on the loading screen for up to 5 minutes (after that I give up) or loads but then doesn’t show cars or log-in info. A bit annoying as I’m an extremely frequent user. I don’t prefer other car share apps but there are others out there that are more reliable, with easier to contact customer service.
App is fine, prices are not
The app works well. No issues. Not happy about the rates. Miles came on the scene as the cheaper way to get around congested cities. Now it’s the most expensive. Only in the worst situations where nothing is moving will you pay a higher minutely rate using another provider.
Unclear pricing
I recently changed my US driver’s license to German and was considered as a rookie driver since I owned my German driver’s license less than a year. There was no mentioning about rookie fees before I started my first trip yesterday and I was charged 9 euros rookies fee later. This is not fair for the customer. I would not use miles if I knew about this rookie fee.

WORST CARSHARING APP EVER
I don't even know where to begin. Horrible customer service, ridiculous hidden charges, super untransparent. I got debited twice within the space of two weeks for the same ride. When I called customer support, I was told to write an email. 2 months and 3weeks later and I'm yet to be reimbursed. Just a mail saying "At the moment we are fixing the bug so we can refund the overpayment asap." Called customer care repeatedly and it's still same response, it's not from us, it's from the IT department, we'll get back to you soon. For almost 3 freaking months!!! Ridiculous fees: It starts with a rookie fee of €9 per month which you are not told of when signing up. I got a speeding ticket for €15 and guess how much I have to pay in "processing fees" to Miles €19.5. Absolutely bullocks. Miles prides itself on being the only carsharing app that allows you drive with a new license, just found at Hertz also allows this. Glad to get rid of this stupid app and horrible customer care. Would totally NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Le service, les tarifs et l’app sont excellents. La flotte de voitures aussi (nombre et modèles). Par contre dans mon quartier les voitures sont presque tout le temps très sale: elles sentent le tabac et le cannabis, sont remplies de cendres et de canettes de bière. Elles servent clairement à y faire la fête, on dirait :-)
Bad UX
Found an issue while trying to verify my US phone number, said to contact support. Their chat support is useless and after back and forth of nonsense with a robot they said they’d forward my request to an agent to reach out back by email? Completely inefficient. Also I can’t book a ride or do anything with the app without this step, so I guess I’ll just unninstal.
Saved my life
A monthly insurance dee seems to keep coming out which was not discussed as far as as I read (and i did a lot of reading bedore downloading), but other than thT this app has saved my life with my recent move.
Scam that charges hidden registration fee
I downloaded this app and registered out of curiosity a year ago, however never used any of their services. It also states very clearly that registration is FREE. For a year now they have been chasing me for. €10 registration fee, and have just hired a collection agency to chase me for €10, now inflated to €30. I’m going to report them to Apple. Nasty business model. Don’t download.
