Horrible app
Horrible app. Terrible scanning, terrible tracking. Even when using a turntable and harsh light on a dull object. Not sure what the intention for the app is, but scanning objects is not one of them. Sorry for the bad review, but that was my experience
Works well! But could use some small additions
The scanning quality is quite good, but I wish there was an automated point cloud fusion process after a scan. As many scans will fail part way through and you end up with ghosting,
Not useable on an iPad 2022
Very strange scanner with minimal interface and doesn’t connect the mesh as it should. Scaniverse is much better
No trial at all
Many 3D apps are wonky, but at least I can see how the 3D scan looks like before I decide to purchase or not. Here, you have to pay upfront and hope it’s decent quality. Being able to at least view 1 or save just 1 would help a lot. What’s even the point of the free app if you can’t do anything?
The first 3D scanner you should get
Very pleased with this app! The 1 time payment is less than the monthly subscription fee of other apps and it also has the best privacy policy of any 3D scanner app. It also doesn’t require an email. The scan quality is incredible for an iPhone if you follow the onscreen instructions. There’s also no useless gimmicks or advertisements in the app and the UI is simple, intuitive, and effective! 10/10, I recommend anyone looking to start 3D scanning to purchase Heges!
Very poor first experience
Well it looks promising as an app that has features I would like to try but are locked behind a paywall before you can even try them. Features my phone has hardware for they can’t even allow me to test to see what it creates before investing $10+ on it. Clear actions of a greedy dev.
Support for LiDAR on 2020 iPad Pro?
This app is great and very detailed, however, it would be even better id it utilized the LiDAR sensor on the rear of the 2020 iPad Pros
It’s fine
But rear LiDAR camera makes terrible quality scans. That probably has nothing to do with the app. Face ID on the other hand makes really great scans but this app can’t scan whole objects. I would gladly give 5* if front camera would allow to scan full 360 objects, like whole person in high quality
One of a kind with average execution.
I was very excited to try out this app since I haven’t seen anything like it. I bought the 3D scanning instantly and started. After making a few scans I found that the AR view is completely broken and essentially non functional in times where it doesn’t outright crash the app. This coupled with a file size limit on the 3D viewer means that larger scans cannot be examined before export. Sometimes the scan freaks out and thinks you’re moving when you’re not, completely ruining the scan. It’s challenging to scan everyday objects when the scanner is temperamental and you can’t see the screen while doing it. I do appreciate the precision controls though. The scans are very messy, so it would be nice for some post-processing option to be implemented. When you do manage to create a good scan it’s dead easy to create an STL and export it using the wifi server, which is something I haven’t seen in any other app. Sharing your files is the simplest part of the process, which sometimes isn’t the case. Unless you’re not on a Wifi network, then you’re sunk. Overall I think the concept of this app is a fantastic application of the iPhone X capabilities, and with patience you can get some great scans. It just feels like an alpha build with crashes and non-functional components.
Great App with Great Customer Service
A very affordable app with great solution and very easy to use. I use it for my business which requires scanning small object and not rooms and it works great. Easy to redo the scan if necessary. Love the new crop option to make the files easier to export and save and not having issues with file size. Also lots of options for resolution and you can choose which export measurement you’d like. Marek was amazing in answering any questions and so professional and helpful. I love that I get to support a smaller business that has both a great product and customer support. I would recommend this to anyone that needs a 3D scanning app.
Just make it a paid app?
This app costs $10. That’s cool, I’m all for developers getting paid. Unfortunately for some reason the payment is handled through an in-app purchase? I suspect this was done to take advantage of people who can’t be bothered to read the entire page and check out what in-app purchases do before downloading (me). Nonetheless, I feel slightly duped? Just charge for it upfront? There’s a mechanism for doing that, use it.
Disappointed with the tracking
This really needs a way to test the tracking and 3d capabilities before purchasing. I bought this and am really unimpressed with the quality. Hopefully it will improve over time but as it is it’s not useable.

Pleased with its features, and continual updates.
Underwhelming
You can’t even try it out, the app looks for your payment immediately. With all of the other and better scanners out there, this guy didn’t do his homework.
Very straight forward
Nice app which focuses on the essentials. Basically und the phone in-built Lidar to generate a mesh of the environment. I like the could free approach.
So bad, scans unusable
For $10 the performance should be way better. Every scan was laughably bad. Not worth it. Save your money.
Awesome 3D scanning app!
I use this app all the time when I need to do a quick scan and don’t have my full scanner hardware. Works great on iPhone 15 Pro and iPad Pro. I do wish there was a remote companion app so I can see what’s on the screen while scanning using the front FaceID scanner.
App completely unusable - do not buy!
The tracking of objects is abysmal. Even moving the camera the slightest amount can cause it to completely freak out and makes duplicate copies of your object everywhere because it's not smart enough to recognise the slightly different view. Do not buy!
Best 3d scanner
This is easily the best 3d scanner for phones with Face ID built in, and no subscriptions / local processing clinched the deal (I don’t want my face being stored on someone else’s servers, which is apparently a thing some scanning apps do). You can get decent scans immediately, and if you experiment for awhile you can get really high quality high res scans from it (depends on how you move the phone and how you scan). Cleanup in something like meshlab is easy once you download the settings from the heges site. Overall really happy with this, has saved me buying an expensive hardware scanner to use!
Does not work
The app is not able to generate a good mesh whatever configuration I do, is not worth it the money, if possible , I want my money back . Sorry to say that but it is useless
Sweet application
This by far went beyond expectations. Amazing app Marek, this is exactly what I was looking for 3D printing. The reviews here didn’t make the purchase easy. The preview mode doesn’t give the final model detail, which is the main selling point. The final model details are dependent on how careful user captures the model vs environment. Definitely delivers on iPhone X. :D

Works well, great customer support, local data
Great app! You are able to scan and directly export from your phone. No need to upload to a cloud service like most other apps I found. Scans stay local and are easy to export. I use mesh mixer to clean up the scans, and I’m happy with the workflow. The customer support is also great. Had some questions about the app before getting started. FAQ page was very helpful, and my email to the creator was quickly responded to. The in-app purchase makes sense if you read the FAQ and description. No complaints!

Free to Download but not to use?
Looks like a good app and can’t wait to try. Marek will give you a code to try before you buy and seems very passionate and proud of his work. I will update once I try this app.
Need to try before I buy
This app forces you to pay $11.99 before you even know if it works. I will not buy an app unless I know it will actually work. Maybe allow people to use it, but not be able to save or export the files unless you pay. That way you would know if it works. In my case Marek provided me with a promo code to try it. It did not work, as soon as I hit the record button I would receive a “tracking fault” After numerous emails with Marek, it still would not work. I truly appreciate his time and support but it did not help. And the advice to “put it against the back of a sofa, to help tracking” defeats the purpose of circling the entire part so I can 3D print it. Again, the support is great, the app, not so much. This is why I don’t purchase apps unless I can try them.
