No issues for 3 years, what to tell more?
Routine set up doesn’t always work
The routine I have set up to charge my car overnight fails too many times and I have to reboot the main unit and then it starts to work for a bit . Very frustrating
Doesn’t charge to what I want
If I want to add 18% and it only gives me 7% then it isn’t much use
Hard work
I used to use Octopus Intelligent with a different charger. Octopus did all the work and it just worked. Now the app keeps telling me it's estimation of the charge, which is always wrong, and I am never confident of what I'm going to end up with in the morning.
Functional but could be better
Notifications are a bit sketchy as in hit and miss as to whether they are delivered. Functionality on the app is lacking I think. Being able to Set charge times would be beneficial. Notifications that don’t show up are generally plug in approvals, when someone plugs in I’d expect a phone notification to show up and a red dot on the app. Neither of which happen, all notifications are enabled for this app.

Easy, efficient & inexpensive
Very poor intuitively .
Very hard for people without prior knowledge of this technology to be able to set the initial process and syncing up.
Nice app great charger
I’m using this with an MG4 and Octopus Intelligent tariff. Wish the charger could ‘see’ the cars charge level so I don’t have to set it manually every time.
Fault in home charger = Expensive
I had two and half months of error issues on home charger and it was soo expensive to recharge the car I’m having to rethink electric vehicles only to find this is a common problem with Ohme chargers. But my question is why did it take so long to replace the charger if Ohme are aware there are issues with the charger supplied. I have spent over £300 within this period charging at the petrol station and it’s very upsetting. Engineer come, saw the problem and within 15 mins replaced it bcos it was a common equipment fault. Why was I kept for 3 months back and forth with try this and that when it was a well known issue?
Defaulting to smart charge
While the app is very good, I’m really annoyed that it keeps defaulting to “smart charge” when it used to be set to top up to 100% right away. I’m not on a smart tariff as I use far to much electricity in the day and as I have a company car where I might have to go out and do 300+ miles at the drop of a hat I need the car full as soon as can be so this behaviour is very annoying.

Poor - never count on it charging properly.
Inconsistent charging can leave you stranded in the morning. It is better to delete the account and use link a domestic plug.

Doesn’t link to car

Doesn’t reflect routine changes
Changes in the routine are not reflected so the charge doesn’t run at the right time or at all. I have found a workaround to max charge for a few seconds and go back to ‘smart’ charge which seemed to fix it today. The car isn’t recognised so it doesn’t know the battery percentage. Needs attention in many areas. Update: I contacted support and they had to clear the session from their side. I asked if there was anything I could do my side but they said there was not. I will try and get a definitive set of steps to replicate the issue for the devs next time it happens. Thanks to support the devs for the help and reply. Added a star as the support was excellent.

App user friendly easy to navigate.
Not so great with Polestar 2
The charger does not interface well with my 2023 Polestar 2; it cannot read the battery level. The UI for the app is also quite poor - it seems to contradict itself. Overall it’s still pretty good but seems better set up for daily commutes than what I do which is long journeys once a week. Has anyone who writes this software actually tried it with an iPhone? You really need to test it.
Super application
Très satisfait de l’application manque plus que le Solar only et la gestion correcte du système de tarif tempo et tout y sera. S’il vous plaît améliorez vos commentaires des mises à jour on voit défiler les versions mais toujours le même message affiché qui ne dit pas ce que vous apportez avec la version. Ce serait bien plus utile que ce message qui n’apporte aucune information. Bravo à toute l’équipe.
Struggles with Octopus
The app struggles since the Octopus change to a six hour window. Whichever option is selected it cuts out and barely charges up at all. Continually needs to be reset.

When it works it’s excellent. Unfortunately it drops out periodically which is a proper pain and there seems to be no easy way to force the app to talk to the charger again.
Fails to connect to car
After multiple attempts to sync my Skoda Enyaq with the Ohme app, it simply won’t connect. This means I can’t program the charging timings or use any of the functionality.
Solar charging
Hi not sure what you have changed but when charging from excess solar the charger sits there for ages at let’s it all go to the grid

Good theory but poor delivery
The theory of cheap electric off peak is sound but the app and charger have been unreliable for the last 2 years. In fairness to Ohme there customer service has been good and they have delivered numerous updates which have slowly improved matters but one feels they got behind in developing the product and are playing catch up with the competition.

The new octopus intelligent go tariff, is not intelligent, and will not make your car go! Last night it gave me 8 kW of charge, when I needed 50. Don’t bother.

L’app funziona discretamente. Sarebbe il caso di scrivere cosa viene risolto con i vari aggiornamenti e che migliorie vengono apportate dando così la possibilità all’utilizzatore di dare un feedback. Invece ad ogni aggiornamento viene descritto solo che ci sono state delle modifiche ma non si sa quali. Come ultima cosa: è possibile aggiungere la BYD Seal U (BEV) nelle 2 versioni alla lista auto e se possibile anche le API? Grazie

Confusing terminology?
Has taken me some time to figure out how to charge immediately versus once-off scheduling (versus a Routine). Also discounting the % charge to hit my targets on our hybrid Land Rover.

Teething Problems
Basic poor IT related problems whereby the charger, vehicle and mobile app don’t play together.
Manque de fiabilité
La connexion avec la voiture (Kia Niro Phev) n’est pas fiable, la configuration pas intuitive. Mais une fois comprise et correctement adaptée la recharge se fait au horaires voulu. Le fait d’indiquer une heure de départ n’est pas forcément la méthode la plus simple et efficace.

Absolutely have no idea how it’s charging my car and the charge falls way short of what I’m expecting.
Ok app but has issues
Not the worst but not the best. I want to simply charge during two specific time periods in x1 24 hour cycle. The app doesn’t easily facilitate this and is geared towards dynamic charging. Also huge issues recently where it no longer connects to the charger. Mixed experience.

App used to be so much better when you simply set your max charge level and then just plugged in. Now you have to mess around entering your current level every time you plug it in.
Ajout plages horraires
Bonjour je trouve que l’appli fonctionne bien, elle est plutôt simple à utiliser, par contre pour les heures creuses il y a (il me semble) qu’un seul réglage de plage possible… sur mon lieu d’habitation les heures creuses sont sur 2 temps, ce serait top que je puisse mettre les 2 plages horraires sur l’appli ( pour l’instant une seul est possible )
To smart for it own good
I bought this to replace EO charger as no longer provided scheduling facility. So went for ohme due to integration with octopus. However when we have free electricity and want full 7.68 kwh for full hour, it just won’t do it plans schedule with a build up of power from 1.26 to max of 5. So frustrating. I’ll stick with as works over night as long as i state power is lower than it is to max kWh is used. If had my time again i wouldn’t of bought it, gone with something more simpler to use.

Not charging as requested
Had this charger for three months. It does not charge as we request and seems to do its own thing. On IOG tariff and just want to use the 6 hours overnight charging. Very frustrating !
