App for Apple TV please
Awesome workouts and great interface with the bike…would be a game changer to have an app that connects to my Apple TV…doing it thru mirroring is a pain. 🙃
Pretty basic and lacks some key features
The app itself is pretty simple. The UI isn’t bad, though it could do with some better segmentation to cut clutter. The big failure here is on integration with other products, like Strava and Apple Health. The app doesn’t share average power, calories burned, or heart rate data when a monitor has been used. Those are key stats to record to other apps and make this app a real failure for people who like to track progress.
Too expensive
I just wish there was a tiered level of use/payment. Like if I’m only doing 2 spin bike classes a week it makes no sense for me to pay up to $53/month, $600/yr. It’s like paying for a monthly transit pass when you only use it a couple times a week. I don’t need the live class. All I want are the classes that have been recorded. I would even do the same class over and over if it was a good class. If it was cheaper I’d be all in. And Michael Browne is FANTASTIC! His delivery and encouragement to those in the live classes is great. And his seamless transitioning while talking is perfect. He’s the best you got. All your instructors need to learn from him. Alas, I can’t justify the payment. I wish that I could.
Great motivational app
App is great. It allows you to see where other riders are on the leaderboard so you can reach your leaderboard and output goals. I love that it offers a variety of other workouts as well. This is the best exercise and I look forward to my Echelon workouts.
Terrible Update — You Ruined the App
Absolutely terrible. No more free bike rides, no more scenic videos. Basically, you took away everything that made this app worth using. What a ridiculous downgrade. I’m not paying just to get features that used to be free. Extremely disappointed and deleting the app.
Mostly working for me
I am enjoying the workouts more than the ones by another company BUT in Canada the music licensing is gone in Echelon so I’m either getting independent artists or nothing, and the rhythm riding is not really present due to this. The app works fine. I would love to link to my Garmin watch for heart rate etc.

Does the job
The app works and the workouts are good but the app interface is really below standard. Hard to find stuff, not really intuitive, not exciting to navigate and get moving.
Best Community Ever
The instructors are amazing! They always speak to you & motivate you. The ‘on demand’ classes are just like being in the studio. I can’t comment on other bike communities. I can however say that for me. There is no reason to ever switch. I love echelon & all the instructors!

Ads, artificially limited capability
Intuitive app, it just needs a difficulty filter
I’m new to the Echelon community. The app feels intuitive, there are many filters and categories available to choose from. I think it would be a great addition to include a difficulty filter to instantly find beginner, intermediate or advanced classes. I’ll update my review if I can as I go along.
App poor, bike and workouts great
Had this bike since Covid after I hurt my ankle and couldn’t run. Firstly bike: well made and comfortable to cycle on (ex3). I use my iPad which works fine. Initially the resistance calibration failed 14 months out of warranty and they wouldn’t fix it. However when they changed their warranty to 5 years I managed to get it fixed. It still required a second visit to calibrate it. Overall though 4 years in and it still works well Classes. I only do bike but I really like the live classes especially the uk ones. I like being able to compete with others in the class and this works well. I wish there were more live classes early on pre work as they are better than the reruns. App: this is echelons biggest let down. Firstly I still need an iPad, phone and watch to get Apple Watch to integrate. Come on there has to be a better way. I’m sure peloton doesn’t have this. Similarly it drops out a lot. PB,s and history. Since the update I can’t go back and see old workouts other than about the last month. This means all my pbs which were set when the resistance controller was broke are massively wrong and I can’t correct them. The old app would allow you to look at all historical rides. This is poor. The music - poor compared to when the instructors could use whatever they wanted. Come on echelon we pay a premium you should be able to offer mainstream music. Really need to work on the quality of this app. I often wish I’d paid more for peloton.
Where is the good music?
The music is terrible! Please do better for what we pay for monthly. I expect to recognize and be energized by music I know and love!

Great classes. I like the workout classes that incorporate arms!
Get your money back
If you bought a piece of hardware from these people, return it. It requires a subscription to use and their app doesn’t contain more than ten classes total now, some dating back to the late 2010s. There are no live classes and barely any on demand classes. You will pay $50 a month for nothing.

Connecting to echelon
Trying to get hold of someone when things go wrong or will not connect is nearly impossible. Getting them to do something or get an engineer is impossible without a note from a Dr or pictures. Wish I had not taken a two year sub, as it may as well be a clothes rack!

Amazing workouts and support
Highly rate echelon I have the rower the spin bike, the stairstepper and the treadmill I have done 1500 workouts in total since I have joined the instructors are amazing and motivate you to come back week after week. This isn't the treadmill, the spin bike, the rower with the stair climber that will become a closed rack in a month. This will keep you motivated.
Log in fail every time
I can not even log in. Continued attempts to have password emailed to me does not come through. But some how they can junk email me with news and offers. Would love to be able to use my rower properly but some reason this app has me frustrated. Junk
Would like more 6am spin options in UK pls
Often get up and do 30 mins but the classes around this time are often at odd times or not pure spin. Some more live UK classes at this time would be great mid week.
App creating duplicate entries in Apple health
The apps ok but is massively frustrating me as I am getting duplicate entries of my workouts in apple fitness and Apple Health. I get an iPad Entry (the device I use to complete the workout on the bike). An iPhone entry, the device I use to connect my watch. An Apple Watch entry (the device i use to record my heart rate). ALL OF THESE CREATE DUPLICATES IN APPLE HEALTH - This is not an apple issue. It’s a Echelon issue. Is this going to be fixed???
Music still missing
Classes and instructors are good….but without the licensed music in Canada it is hard to stay motivated.
Getting Started
Never thought I would enjoy this type of format. Bought bike used and just thought I wouldn’t need app. I was wrong. The app is more valuable than bike! I am deaf and blind so I can’t go to a gym - but the gym and trainers come to me through my phone that has special software for me to follow along. Thanks Echelon!

It’s been a few years now with the same tired setup. Time for an upgrade.
I Love Echelon !
After 4+ years. I am very satisfied with my subscription to the apps. It offers an intuitive user interface and very useful features. Additionally, customer support is responsive and always ready to help.
App does not show results
Bought the sport with screen and so far so good, love it actually, however I cannot see previous sessions on both my iPhone or iPad app, they’re both blank. I have my email response and my fitted bike screen only to use

Echelon feedback
Echelon haaS revolutionized my fitness routine. I can keep up any fitness modality with encouragement and upoort of my echelon team in the comfort and convenience of my own home. I can slip in workouts in small windows of time!!
Music in Canada
Sucks about the music when riding in Canada. I don’t find that whatever overlap they put on is even close to the class.
Love it
Absolutely love Echelon and all the love and on demand classes that are available. The bike is fantastic and would highly recommend.
Progress not updating since new update
App used to work fine but now progress isn’t updating. Can see my stats while riding but afterwards in progress it shows the time of my ride but 0 calories and 1kj output..
Disappointed
The workouts are great for both fit pass options and cycling. I absolutely hate the organization and wish that classes were organized into programs and that programs had tracking options. For example the push and pull program — how do we know which order to do them and scroll through a bunch of it would be great to have a click and go option. Like if I wanted to do push and pull I click on that and played out is day 1, day 2, etc. I feel like I’m all over the map trying to figure out which workout to do and spend too much try finding what I want.
Great programs
Echelon has an excellent variety of programming lead by great trainers. The on-screen experience in workouts is very user friendly and easy to customize what information is displayed. I would like to see better search and filter tools to more easily find workouts I have done before. A list of moves for bootcamp classes would help before selecting the workout (e.g. curls, squats, jumping).
Silly to charge for this terrible app
They charge for this app, but can get free workouts that’s are the exact same and better on YouTube, why rip people off on an app that doesn’t function and charges a fortune
Music and pb’s….
Great app and instructors, but music is not great and you cannot reset your pb’s……ever! 🤬
Apple Health syncing has stopped working
After the most recent app update, the metrics from your rides no longer transfer to Apple Health/Fitness. Now every ride transfers as zero minutes/zero calories/zero everything. And don’t bother trying to contact Echelon Support as they delete criticism such as this from their support forums and facebook pages. Great bike. Useless app.
Good features and could be even better?
I’ve been using the iPad app with S3 bike and a 45day trial and so far I have mostly enjoyed my experience as there are lots of classes and live events, good selection of playback video, good music. E3 bike integration works well, mostly. Suggestions for improvement (iPad app) ====================== Make +5 -5 buttons bigger. Bring 3x presets buttons to the front of display. Test/check/monitor instructor microphone - no audio in a live class = big fail. No way to alert instructor? Integrated heart rate feature from the app flaky and intermittently disconnects when doing back to back cycle classes. Have to kill all three apps to fix? Thank you!
Amazing Community
I have found such a wonderful amazing community on this bike that goes no where. The instructors are amazing and challenge you and are human! Love their stories, it helps build connection. I have found my tribe!
Canadian Music
It’s time to fix the music issue in Canada. We deserve to have good music during our workouts too. It would also be good to have each series of workouts group together to make them easier to find continue and complete a series.
Some nice changes but still a few bugs
App works well for training sessions. The updated interface is really nice. Tracking progress is still buggy. When looking at weekly view it does not display any trainings completed or provide a summary. Hopefully this will sorted in the next update. Training session history is there and can be accessed individually.
Poor performance metrics
While the bike, the range of classes and the instructors are great, the Echelon brand is greatly let down by the app’s functionality and metrics. No ability to see how you are improving over time other than by the crudest means. The ‘Progress’ section simply catalogues the rides you have completed, and through simple bar charts compares output, distance and calories to the last time you completed that specific ride. You have to click into each ride individually to get this information and you cannot get data from or compare all rides of similar type and duration over time. In theory the app also enables you to compare heart rate in the same bar chart format, if you could actually manage to sync your device to it - which seems to be impossible for most. Echelon, you have active and engaged followers on social media; how about doing some user testing via those platforms to learn what they expect from an app that that costs £40 per month.
Disappointed
Just started using echelon, paying for the 2 year subscription. Because the app promoted so much on the website (a bit pricey compared to others) I assumed it would be filled with many classes but I was so wrong. There’s only a handful to choose from so I will end up repeating the same classes over and over. I got the app to use with the Echelon bike for ease but really isn’t worth it. I’d rather cancel and faff around with another app with more variety.
What a great app
Echelon app is a great app that easy to navigate and very easy to use. Echelon has change my life for the better hands down, great coaching and great ride from all over the world.
Basically unusable. I deeply regret buying their rower
I don’t want to pay for a membership — I just want to work out on my own. In “Freestyle” mode, the screen is mostly taken over by class promotions and instructor banners, leaving almost no usable workout data visible. If you’re not paying, you’re essentially staring at ads instead of metrics. This feels intentionally restrictive rather than user-friendly. At minimum, Freestyle mode should prioritize basic stats (output, resistance, time) instead of marketing content.
Seems good
Great for all the features but it is really missing Apple Watch integration which is weird the have on their mirror app. But not in here.
Limited - long way to go
I’ll start with a positive: the classes are really good quality. We think they are great. Negatives...quite a lot! The app is limited in function outside of the classes. I use an Apple Watch and unable to connect the pulse rate to the App so I can never track my heart rate on a ride. My wife uses a Fitbit Connect 4 and that won’t work either. The only connectivity between Apple/Fibit with Echelon is that the limited data on a ride syncs to those Apps. I’ve resulted in using my Polar H7 chest Heart Rate Monitor on the Echelon App. The main issue is that the statistics are poorly represented by a simple bar graph measuring only two points: highest and lowest heart rate. Shockingly simple. When using the freestyle ride mode it would handy if this offered more options for a ride; at present its just ride and stop when you choose. I’d welcome target based rides such as Distance over Time, or Time over Distance. I’d welcome the Option to be able to have my investment in the Echelon Smart Ex3 bike to deliver gains in the App departments. Being able to have Strava recognise the smart bike would be handy so I could use that as a singular source for HRM, direct Bike stats and then social with my wife. There is a lot missing from the echelon app. If i wss aware of this before my purchase I would have recognised and got a bike with tighter integration to Strava app /Fitbit +Appe Watch wearables.
Great product let down by App
The good - instructors and the bike are great The bad - the performance tracking of progress on the app E.g output scores vs your history or positions on the leaderboard are poor at best. The ugly - the app crashes sporadically during classes and just restarts the class. I don’t want to keep going back to the warm up! You then can’t fast forward to where you previously were which leaves you pretty frustrated.
