After recent update (Apr. 2026)
I have to set the app up every time I launch a new workout. This is a real pain. And also every time I launch the app, I have to click through a message that tells me in-app purchases are not permitted. Also a pain. April 8th update. Big has been fixed, app is now working as desired. Thanks.
Not working properly
I have a problem to sync app with my NordicTrack treadmill. The reported number on the treadmill is not consistent with this app.
Works well but slow to connect
It always fails to connect the first time and connects the second time after I select re-connect to Bluetooth. Otherwise, it is great to see my heartbeat on my nordictrack treadmill.
Zones no longer shows on phone
Since the last update heart rate zones and the points calculator show on my watch but always stay at zero on the phone app.
Reliability issues
Works well some of the time - but frequently stops sending updates to the workout bike, and I have to pause and restart the workout in the app to get it unstuck. This is especially common if I try to multitask on the phone, at which point the added convenience is small. I stopped using and got a chest strap monitor
Bugs appear to be fixed
Back to loving the app after the bugs were fixed from the 6.0 release.

Not too sure
Worked awesome for a bit but now keeps dropping connection to my nordictrack bike. Splits my workout in half but luckily the Apple Watch still tracked. Will see what happens tomorrow.
No longer works with NordicTrack treadmill
This worked fine, if occasionally finicky, but after the new year (maybe an iFit update, who knows) it’s now impossible to connect to my new NordicTrack treadmill. The connection just times out every single time; and no amount of rebooting the treadmill or restarting the phone or the app or Bluetooth make any difference. It has one job and it no longer does that job. 2 stars because it worked for a few weeks before failing.
Not on Precor
Didn’t work on the hotel’s Precor treadmill or elliptical. Displayed HR on phone just fine. Neither watch nor phone connected. Equipment did have a lit green rfid symbol.
Works great!
I use this with my C2 rower and EXR app and it works great. Since I use EXR for syncing the workouts to Apple Health I don’t need Echo to do that so have the Sync Workouts turned off. However I was having an issue with Echo still reporting workouts from time to time. Echo support was great in helping me solve the problem - basically Echo will sync workouts if the app is force quit (actually makes sense tbh) so all I had to do was just stop the Echo app when I was done before quitting it. Problem solved. App is great and saved me unnecessary expense buying a HR strap to use with EXR when I already have an Apple Watch.

Works with Horizon treadmills
Does what it says on the tin. Connects as HR monitor and will write workout to Apple Health if you want (can also turn that off if you don’t want). Beats wearing a chest strap or buying a Bluetooth/Ant armband HR monitor.
Inconsistent performance with norditrack
Very finicky with connecting my Apple Alta watch to the Norditrack 2610 treadmill. When it is connected, there are moments when my HR is “stuck” at a certain number and won’t update until a few minutes later, and is annoying when using active pulse with the treadmill as it ends up too fast or slow due to the stuck value. Please update and fix!
I need a reliable hear monitor
Echo doesn’t connect to my peloton bike well. It takes several tries and often it won’t connect.
Awesome
Before Echo I would have had to buy an expensive Garmin watch or IFIT heart Monitor. With Echo I’m able to connect to my Proform Treadmill at one time low cost!
HR not updating
Recently I noticed that on my Apple Watch Ultra 2 the heart rate stays constant. It did not change I bps the entire 45 minutes. I assume this is a bug???
Works perfectly (Most of the time)
After some initial issues when I first started using this, I think I’ve finally found a way to get it to work perfectly. Things I’ve found: Connecting to Wattbike - No issues, works perfectly every time. Connecting to Wahoo Roam - Clunky & frustrating at times, but I find that if I close the wahoo companion app (after loading my gps route onto the Raom) then turn off Bluetooth on my phone, turn on again and quickly press “Tap to Start” within the Echo app so it establishes a Bluetooth connection before anything else. I had one ride where the app stopped sending my heart rate to my Roam, but had this working again in a matter of seconds. Overall, I wish it worked more seamlessly with Wahoo Roam - But it does the job well once it’s set up.
Did not work with nordictrack s24 bike
Did not work at all. Used ifit settings and nordictrack bike settings 2 stars because the apple watch integration worked seamlessly
Paywall to use basic features of app!?
BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD—you must pay $20 to have your HR displayed for more than 20 minutes. I wish I knew that before I downloaded because my sessions require me to work out for more than twenty minutes at a time. Otherwise, the app works really well. Hopefully I can find some other way to use it

Does not work as promised
I needed a way to connect my Apple Watch with my Nordic Track treadmill and iFIT app. Does not work 98% of the time. Customer service does not respond and Apple will not refund! Update: A YEAR later the developer responded. Still no refund and no connection.
AppleWatch as a heart rate monitor
A great solution to use my AppleWatch as my heart rate monitor.
Works OK except when it doesn’t
This app randomly disconnects mid session for no reason. You have to pay for it to actually be useful, and the price is only a little cheaper than just buying a Bluetooth heart rate monitor which would be more reliable.
Dodgy connectivity to NordicTrack
Only able to get this to work about half of the time at best. Then when connection fails, treadmill prompts me with troubleshooting connecting AirPods?

Love the app can we have BLE broadcast back
Love the app until recently there was an option to broadcast to multiple devices which has now gone and the feature no longer works Can we have this back I used to to connect to my NordicTrack bike and a the same time to my heart rate recorder now I can just connect to one of them and not both as before. It’s a great app just wish you had not taken this feature away
Works occasionally (I.e. it doesn’t work)
Successfully connects to Peloton maybe 50% of the time, which in my view means it effectively doesn’t work, so I’ve given up on using it. Would not recommend until they fix it such that it works every time, no ifs or buts.
Missing timer
You took the timer away during the update, so if I’m doing multiple exercises with ifit NordicTrack I can’t keep track of time
Great app
I can’t remember what I paid for this app, but it couldn’t have been more than 10 or $15. I’ve gotten amazing runs and bike rides out of this app with Nordic Track and other fitness equipment that does not sync with Apple definitely worth the money.
App updated but won’t save configuration
After update the app has to be setup every time you open it. Useless!
Almost perfect
This works really well with my NordicTrack treadmill - does what it says on the tin and much cheaper than buying a specific heart rate monitor. However, having got used to the app it would be great if I could use it as a stand-alone heart rate monitor too ie when out and about running. Linked to this, it would be great to see the max heart rate % as a watch face option.
Works sort of
It does connect my Apple Watch to my Concept 2 rower and the rower then displays my heart rate. But my phone now can’t record my heart rate during my workout. I get no record of my workout data. So it is basically useless to me. I’ll go back to glancing at my watch to check my heart rate. It’s a safety issue for me, I’ve had a heart attack and must watch my heart rate while I’m exercising.
Nice but doesn’t always work
Is nice to have app that will display heart rate on my echo rogue bike, but routinely is not displaying accurately and I have to close app on watch and phone and then restart. Today was displaying 60-80 and I knew was way off. After force closing apps and restarting started there then instantly jumped to 130 bpm or so which seemed right. Problem is now I’m never sure if I’m getting correct readouts so might just need to get a dedicated bluetooth rate monitor and ditch this app.
What a neat app!
Works great for my work outs on the go e.g. running/ mountain biking outdoors. Not an Apple Watch guy myself and this app is perfect for displaying info (especially HR zones) on my iPhone from the two Heart rate monitors that I own. The app works seamlessly and their customer service is fantastic- should you need assistance. I highly recommend!
Very disappointed with update!
The elapsed time in exercise is gone! I loved that part and would like to see it back. Then this app would again be a 10!
This works with old peloton but ignore the tutorial.
Lots of people are having issues synching to the original peloton to the point where the developers have put out a disclaimer stating don’t pay the inapp purchase until you are happy it works. The available video tutorial specifically tells you not to pair your phone when told to. After failing to connect about 30 times I decided to ignore this advice and pair when requested. Has worked faultlessly ever since. Loses a star for making me nearly throw my phone across the room before I figured out how to make it work.

Works sometimes. Usually takes 5 minute to get it to work. Frustrating. Had this app for months and they don’t attempt to fix the bugs.
Want to see me past stats
It’s functional but I paid for the pro version and expected that I’d be able to see my stats. But the are gone when you hit end. Pointless.

Even after paying full price the app will time out and have to be reset, very annoying. Not what I would expect after paying 20 dollars.
Nice app but way too expensive for what you get
It’s a good app that does broadcast my heart rate to my Nordictrack FS9I with iFit, BUT, it suffers from a low refresh rate: I compared the heart rate data from the Apple Watch when using the app and the heart rate is transmitted much lower than the Apple Watch data. In addition, it is way overpriced for an app that just transmits heart rate and since its refresh rate is no better than the free app that I found from another developer (that has a similar refresh rate), why on earth would I spend more than $25 on this app?!?
Update: Connection/stability issues [FIXED]
Update: I originally had a lot of issues with this app (see original review below). However, I emailed their support and they issued an update that took care of my issues and now this app work great! To me it was worth the money, I highly recommend it. Also, I really appreciate the responsiveness from the developers. Original review: I have a ProForm treadmill and a NordicTrack bike both running iFIT. This app worked great at first but now I have tons of issues with it where it doesn’t appear to read my heart rate nor transmit to the machines! It seems to start each session accurately but then my heart rate doesn’t update on the watch, phone or machine. I have to crash the app to get it to work again and that usually means I cannot reconnect to the machine rendering it useless. Apple Watch Ultra 2 and iPhone 15. Both OS are up to date. Please fix!!!

Spontaneously broke
Set up easily first time to connect to Rouvy app on iPad (driving a Wahoo Kickr). Worked for 1.5 rides before suddenly dropping connection to Watch. Cannot get it to connect since, even though other apps work fine over iPhone - Watch connection. Tried reinstalling app (3 times) and now setup won’t let me select ‘other’ (just refuses to accept text to denote the ‘other’ equipment (in my case, the Rouvy app)). Eventually, it ignores that and passes over to the ‘start session’ screen. But resolutely fails to detect the Watch, despite the fact it’s there and otherwise fine. No useful help available in the app or on the web. Utter waste of money so far (and I’ve never felt moved to write a negative review on any other app).
Not bad but some problem I noticed during trying the free version. .
You can’t use the native Apple Watch Workout app while Echo is running. This is a shame if you use the native workout app to keep track of uour progress. Also, if I am accessing the ifitt app from my phone (while using my gym’s treadmill) ECHO will not work because it cannot be on the same device as the one running the IFitt app. The workaround is using an iPad to run ifitt. But who wants to carry an iPhone, Apple Watch and an IPad to the gym and have them all on the treadmill. If these aren’t major issues for you then install it.
Works with Series 2 (And up)
First of all, this App actually works with my RowERG (C2 D) as compared to some other apps I’ve tried. Secondly, it works with some of my older Series 2 Apple Watches and that’s great! And no, you can’t run Apple’s workout app at the same time and this app does NOT save its own workout like some other apps do.
