Still the best with one flaw
I’ve been a member of this community since 2019. I use the app almost every single day and it’s awesome for workouts (it’s exactly my style of workout) and the meal feature I use daily, too. Don’t know how I’d function without it. However, there is one flaw that got added recently. With the newest update, they took away the web browsing functionality. You can now only use the app to view your workouts and meals. The app is not available on all devices. While 98% of the time that’s how I use it, I do occasionally use it on my computer if I am traveling or wanted to use a larger screen. That feature is no longer available. Still the best though.
Ruined
Flipping entirely to mobile has ruined centr. Looking for alternatives right now.
Meals
Centr is a great app with plenty of different programs and workouts for different people with different objectives. I can’t give them 5 stars because in the last several months they haven’t added any new meals. In fact since they changed ownership I feel the focus has shifted from overall wellness to trying to sell their own gym equipment and focusing on workouts that used said gym equipment. Hopefully they change course.
New app sucks
I HATE the new app. I still love the workouts, but the app makes me so mad- it overrides my Apple Watch fitness app, turning it off in favor of the Centr app. If that’s how I wanted to track my workouts, I would. But it’s not. I want a desktop/web version- I don’t like having to look at such a tiny screen. I also feel like the company is Moving away from their original goals/purpose into making money selling equipment. Ugh!!!
Screen Casting Issues
I would’ve given this rating five stars but the screen casting in the app has changed unlimited information is available. Bring back the old screen casting.
Hyrox Prep & Follow On Weight Training
I used the Hyrox Beginner series of workouts and it prepped me perfectly. I am 51 yrs old and was in not great shape and it brought me off the bench and through a Hyrox with no injuries and touch faster than average time. A win in my book. I shifted gears to wanting to build muscle and have been using their intermediate series and have seen solid results. Oddly, the body weight I dropped in the Hyrox prep has continued to stay off though there is no running and my heart rate rarely gets above low 140s. Anyhow, I love the app. It’s challenging me, I’m injury free, and I look/feel pretty darn good (I think, ha). Much appreciation to the Centr folks that put it together!
Super buggy app
Supper buggy app, constant glitches, poor performance and overall frustrating experience. Definitely needs major improvements
Great workouts!
These are great full bday workouts in just 30 min. My only complaint is that the stretches should be held longer & the stretching period should be longer
Custom Music Playback No Longer Possible.
With the latest update I can no longer play a custom Spotify playlist while following the training programs on my phone. I need 2 separate devices to accomplish this now.
Great app - would love to see more new programs
I really enjoy using the app. I’ve found Ignite to be the most suitable for me in terms of a strength and cardio workout with dumbells. But after repeating the program multiple times I would love to see more options to try.
Fitness for life
I have used Centr for 7 years now! It helps me consistently build strength and maintain my weight. There are classes for any fitness level. I appreciate the balance of planner workouts that include HIIT, strength training, yoga, pilates, and functional training. I also love the excitement and variety of the programs. The recipes are easy and delicious, I especially love the smoothies. The meditations and sleep visualizations helped me finally stick to a mindfulness routine. Chris’ affirmations were especially helpful during lockdown. If you want social interaction, the facebook group is supportive and helpful.
Bad App
Terrible App. Programs offered with equipment not chosen. A of bugs. Avoid this.

We are enjoying the workout, however we wish there was more instruction on how to set the equipment up for each exercise. Thanks
Getting Bored
Everything's just Hyrox focused now. App works ok, most of the time. No new programs unless you're training for Hyrox. Older programs ignored and buggy (and they refuse to use the right type of music for some)
Buggy UI on an iPad
1. The menu (explore, programs…) shown both at the top of the screen and bottom one. 2. When entering weights and repetition log, the Done keyboard is shown in the wrong place (bottom right corner of the screen). Should be next to the number keys. These are most annoying.
Centr won my business
I’ve tried a good number of apps but Centr works for me better than the rest. Some of the reasons are that it has follow along work outs and there is a variety of them depending on your goals. Also, diet recomendation are endless. The combination helped me loose 20 pounds and have been able to maintain healthy weight for 6 years now. I highly recommend it!
Very bad design
The workouts were slow, poorly paced, and the weird thing they do with music getting much quieter every time someone talked made it feel very awkward. Music doesn’t turn down when you are working out in a gym. It ruins the energy, takes you out of the zone. That the product and design team made this unrealistic, strange choice is reflective of their much worse decisions in the app experience. Searching for workouts, filtering, are all very difficult and non-intuitive. They are either really bad at it or trying to reinvent something that has been perfected by 95% of apps and doesn’t need to be reinvented. Finally, don’t try to cancel. You can’t cxl on the app. Unless you sign up with your Shop account (which isn’t an option on the app), you can’t cxl on the desktop either unless you follow a bizarrely convoluted path to find a backend trick to get into your app account. It is easy to write me off because here I am leaving a 1 star review, maybe I am just disgruntled, but it is likely Centr is violating US law. FCC stipulates very clearly that it should as easy to cxl as to sign up. It is hard to, even with the most gracious of interpretations, say that their cxl process is as remotely close to as easy as sign up. I felt tricked and deceived.
Great app!
Motivating, encouraging and such a comprehensive app. Very accessible as well. I don’t like the rebrand they did but overall the app is very easy to use. Makes it too bright especially when using at night, so I would recommend a dark mode option. All about wellness: so you get great workouts, nutrition tips and recipes, as well as meditation guides which is so helpful. The people are very friendly. Only thing I wish is that they did 1:1 accountability and messaging with a trainer as well as in person events.
Its glitchy
There is no explanation on the elevation of seats. If you get a call the app blows V up and nothing recorded. It’s not worth 30 per month
Great when it works
Love the app… when it works. But I CONSTANTLY have issues with it signing me out and then I can’t get back on. Really inconvenient when I’m on a time crunch before work or working out on my lunch break. Every time it happens I can’t use the app for that day so what’s the point in paying for something I can’t always use when I need it?

I love the app and its workouts. But the last few months it’s been buggy as hell. Sometimes I can’t even log on when I am at the gym to do the workout. Please level up here or else you will lose me.
Staying fit with Centr
Great app, easy to use and instructors are engaging & motivating. The only improvement I would hope to see is more customizable options with my equipment, specific goals and target areas.
App crashes and doesn’t save workouts
Good app for recipes and workouts, but does have some issues with crashing when looking at recipes and mid workout. Also always doesn’t save your workouts and progress of weights used. Happens every other work out recently. Very disheartening.

Trash App
I could not even use the app. I attempted to sign up for a free trial. It never let me finish the set up, or so I thought. When I attempted to log in, it would take me to the app and ask me to create an account . I would create the account, but it wouldn't save it so I could log in. I'd go back to the website and try and sign up, it wouldn't save repeat over and over. I gave up, clearly its been poorly developed. A week later I was charged $80. Support has not got back to me and my bank denied my claim. Glad I am out $80 for an app that doesn't even work.
Nice but could be better
App is nice, but would like more notes opportunities. I have a Centr 2 machine and love it tracks my weights, but would like to add the settings I use so I know do I use it at height 23 or 25. Also would like to see more than a single workout program for the machine. Could have a list of all the exercises I could choose from to build my own routine. I do like having the guided videos and the connection to my smart watch.
Need to sort this app out urgently
Do you know what’s annoying when you’re right in the middle of a workout? The video freezing - to compound matters the scroller doesn’t work within the app, so if it does freeze and you need to refresh you’ll spend the time trying to hit forward 10 seconds multiple times in order to try and reach where you were before. This is basic stuff - fix it.
Eh it’s alright
I love the variety of workout programs available in this app but it’s such a pain in the butt. Logs me out all the time. It consistently gets stuck loading at the end of a workout so it won’t accurately log that I’ve completed it. The app software needs work for the stuff inside is solid
Great app
I’ve been using this app for over 5 years and really enjoy it. I think the workouts are challenging and I like that they have the meal plans too. It would be great if they made pregnancy and post partum workouts !
Update this app!
The workouts are good when the app works. And whoever is directing the trainers, key on the words that they use over and over. “That’s a little gangster!” Enough ! Just get the app to work! App doesn’t work yet again! If I could give less than one star…
Great but wish it could be offline
I love the workouts and the resources but I wish I could save the workouts on my phone and do them offline. I stopped using Centr for over a year because of lack of offline access. If you could create an offline mode then I would consider it a 5 star app.
Login and safing buggy
Reoccuring login issues or trainings session are not saved even after multiple attemps. Very annoying.
Used to be better
Overall it has great workout selection with different styles and many equipment choices. However, most new workouts are self guided which makes me wonder whether it’s still worth the price tag. Please bring back more coached programmes.
Late 50s and my body is the best shape of my life from this app
I have tried dozens of apps through the years. This app motivates me to WANT to get up in the morning and workout in my own home. My results have been incredible for a female in her late fifties

Been using the app for over a year now love it love Alexz and Luke but would love some new coaches workouts especially the programs and 20 mins and under.
Offline for 48 hours
The app has been offline and unable to load for the last two days. £22 a month for a bricked app? No thanks.
New re
3 weeks in and I’m enjoying the pre-prepared workouts which are a good test. The app is a bit of a pain to use mid-workout especially when logging resistance levels and reps of each set.
Staying fit at home
Covid 19 19? No way. Getting fit, loosing weight and maintaining sanity all from my living room. Thanks Centr, I complain a lot, but, somewhere, deep down, I love it. Update, 2024, still at it, still love it. Update 2026 and going strong.
It’s a trap
It won’t let you cancel your subscription. I keep trying to log in and it’ll switch me to the app. I’ll go back to the browser and it won’t load. So they get you by not letting you leave.

Good app but unreliable service
Your app is constantly down. The customer service person should do a better job at letting ppl know if/why the app is down or at least that you guys are looking into it. I’ll be moving to a different service when my subscription is over.
Great content, garbage app
The workout content is amazing. The programming and selection is really good. The app is woeful though. So many little bugs (like not being able to adjust the full screen on the iPad or the background audio. Latest issue is can’t log in without completing the survey, and the survey won’t submit. Classic half baked approach that become the norm for the Centr developers
Great and Reasonably Priced!
I love the Centr app! It creates workouts and meals (even mindfulness exercises) that are tailored to your goals. There are a lot of great trainers and you can pick what works best for you! I love Luke and Ingrid the most. I love to find the workouts that they do. I highly recommend this app for anyone who feels too busy to hit the gym.
Won't open
So frustrating, the app opens sometimes and others won't. Usually I can get it to work but it was been 3 days and I can't get it to open. I was able to access my account in safari to complete my grocery list and recipes but I want to work out now and the app won't open. Safari is not the best platformorm to follow the workout plan. Help
New update
UI is a bit trickier now for some reason. It’s harder to find the plan I want rather than the recommended ones
So disappointed
I started using Centr in December 2019, just before Covid kicked in. The app helped me to get through Covid and I absolutely loved it. However, now I find myself greatly disappointed with it. Before Christmas I had no menu planning for a week, the new programs being offered only cater for intermediate level and above, I find the app often doesn’t load and as far as I can see there have been no new recipes for a good couple of months. Centr used to be fun - there was almost a family atmosphere - now the trainers are all American and boring. My subscription comes up for renewal really soon and I’m no longer sure I’ll be renewing. So disappointed!!
Good but could be great
I’m a foundation member and have used it for many years. The programs and trainers are excellent. But the biggest problem is the lack on new material. I replay the same old programs over and over again which gets boring. The self-guided programs are rubbish unless you exclusively train in a gym. Centr needs to keep things fresh and release new material regularly like Les Mills or Peloton 💪💪
