Near Nothing
Went to use app after not using it for some time and I can’t upload pics or add music like it use to without it asking me to pay.
Good app but needs development
I’ve used this app many times now for walks and is somewhat unique in what it does. It allows adding photos and short movie clips to the route it maps. Several improvements are on my wish list: Allowing the total movie time to exceed 60 seconds and each clip longer than 10 seconds. Instead of uploading to a server, do all the processing locally. It can take several minutes plus for the movie to be created, even using the latest iPhone and good WiFi. Finally, output in 4K as an option as well as HD. Having said all the above, it is my go to app for route mapping and hence the 4 stars.
Can’t trim route
Relive discontinued the functionality to trim routes. If you forget to stop recording after an activity, it records everything until you remember to “finish” making the data and map useless. Please fix this because it is a deal breaker.

THEY RUINED THIS APP
This *used to be* an awesome app, but they changed their policies and now the ONLY way to make a video is to give them full & unrestricted access to your entire photo library! This is unacceptable; it is a complete violation of privacy, and totally unnecessary for the app’s functionality. For years, I had the ability to grant permission for specific photos and videos to be used to create a Relive action video. Now I am blocked out of an app that I *PAID* for! There is no way to contact the developer; they’re hiding behind their AI bots for any interaction.

Good idea, badly implementation
Such a shame, a great idea but absolutely no control over your videos. I went on a once in lifetime hike with friends, recorded mine using paid version of relive. Got friends to send me their photos but can I add them to relive in the correct places? Not a chance, the UI for relive ‘adding moments’ is one of the poorest designs I have ever seen. Can only add by location, it was a hike up a volcano, how would I k ow where in the hike the photos were taken. Surely since relive knows the start and end times of the hike and the photo’s are time stamped it could just let me add the photos and automatically put them at the correct times therefore in the correct places? That’s really not rocket science. In short of you take all of the photos the. It’s ok, if you want to add additional photos from friends then you can’t do it easily at all, it’s a royal pain.
Good App Concept, Mediocre Execution
I’ve been using the Relive app, on and off, in both its free and paid versions, for a couple of years now. The concept of the app is great, and the free version does a pretty good job of letting users get an idea of what they can get from this app. Unfortunately, that’s about where the fun stops, as the app really falls apart beyond the free version. The interface is incredibly clunky and imprecise, painfully slow, and the premium options are shockingly thin and badly designed. The interface is so badly designed that it arguably makes the app run frustratingly worse once you pay for the premium features.

Bring back route trimming!
One of the features I valued most, the ability to trim my route (e.g., when I forget to end a walk recording and it continues as I drive away), was recently deleted. I don’t care at all about the new music and opening features, but the loss of the ability to trim will probably result in my not renewing my subscription when it runs out.
Bad service
Just because I had cancer, long term Covid, hernia and family deaths relating to terminal cancer, Relive decided to delete my account because I have not been on any cycling trips for he last few years.

When it works
The app is great when it works. However 1 in 5 it will crash and lose the ride data. Highly disappointing since I am paying for the app. Probably won’t renew. Now it doesn’t even load without strong internet connections. Seems kind of stupid that an app intended for tracking outdoor activities in the backcountry would not work without strong cell service. It used to I’ve been trying to find how to contact the creator to see what the problem is, but there’s no one to contact apparently. Canceling subscription today.

False sub info in app
The product is novel, and a bit cool. It works and I like the product during the trial. However, not enough to keep it as the subscription is $38.99. During the trial, the app says you will not be charged at the end of your trial. I was charged without notice. The website says cancellation will not entitle you to a refund. This is bullsh.

No longer usable
Unfortunately, Relive has decided that they will only allow you to use the app, even if you’re paying for it, if you give them complete access to your entire photo collection. I can only assume that they use this to sell your data to other companies. At one time they allowed access to just the photos taken during the activity, but that seems to no longer be the case. I would say to avoid this app. There are other others.
Love it…but.
The app is great and I love the elements but I forget to restart after stopping and that is getting annoying. It automatically pauses when you take a break and it doesn’t automatically restart.
Frustrated long time premium member
I’m so frustrated with you guys. I keep paying for premium hoping that you’ll add more customization and features, and finally adding sound to the videos was great, but now I can’t control how long the videos I add are, and am limited to the length they can be? I have been using Relive and shouting you guys out on my YouTube channel, but I’m about to give up because of this last update. I was able to work around it before, by adding short clips of my videos to get the pin, then just custom adding my own videos to the map in third-party software to add sound, but now I can’t even do that. It has cost me so much time and money trying to figure out how to cut it all together that it’s not even worth using at this point.
I want to love it, but…
Once you’ve uploaded photos and made the video, it is seemingly impossible to change the photo aspect ratio - even if you do so in your phone’s photo app, deselect the old and select the new. I wish there was a clear way to just entirely start over on a video. Otherwise, it’s a great app.

What happened?
This app used to be great for creating hiking videos and showing what was seen where, but now it marks the images a fare distance from where they were taken. Even when updating the location manually and saving it will not show where the image was in my edit but a random distance within a mile instead (which is worse when doing city walks and you want to show where buildings were). Please fix this as it not worth the money anymore
Need to fix this flaw in the new Relive
One function has gotten worse. — That is “Set Location” which I use many times when creating videos. The movement of the slider at the bottom is not acceptable. For example, I wished to place a photo at Mile 15 from a group bike ride. “Set Location” always starts from the start. Previously I was able to place my finger on the map and very quickly move to mile 15, like within a few seconds. Now (I timed it) it took one minute, 50 seconds to get to Mile 15. Each swipe by my finger only moves .1 or .2 mile on the route! It will take me a long time to create my latest group bike ride as a Relive. I always manually place 95% of the photos myself. That’s because the Relive app by itself is very inaccurate with its attempts at placement. Please fix this problem. Relive user for many years

Great app made weak
The recent change to remove the ability to “trim” a ride has made a fine app much less useful. We have all had those rides/hikes/runs where at the end we are feeling great, get in the car and forget to stop the app til we’re miles down the road. The easy trim feature fixed that but without it, it’s weak.
Unfair play
I used to like this app a lot because it created nice videos about my rides with some statistics like top speed or max attitude, however, recently I noticed that those things are no longer presented on the free videos and now it’s also asks you each time to subscribe to the page version, and you constantly need to opt out out of it, which was a little easier previously. I understand they’re trying to push for subscription, but there are some more subtle ways to do it and also things that were free before should not become unavailable, they should bring new value add features to justify the subscription, but not take away what was used to be free… At this point, it’s just a glorified mapping of the experience with an orbital effect. [Update]: to Relive “Some customization features that used to be free are now part of Relive Plus” is exactly my frustration with you move. Taking away something that was free DOES NOT improve the app. You want to improve the app? Keep what was free -> Free. Bring any and exceptional features the will captivate your users to subscribe to the paid version!

Forces you to share all photos
The app forces refuses to save a video locally unless you select “share all photos” in the apps permission. Even if you select “Add photos only” or “limited access” (with which the app is capable of saving the video), the app will refuse to do it.
Great App to watch your event on a Big screen after.
The App is fun to use and create videos of a hike or ride. It would be great if the map had an option to retain “Direction Up” while you are riding or hiking instead of seeing your route upside down while traveling South. Editing your video after you create it can be done for Plus Subscribers which is useful.
Pulled away from Apple Subscription
I have all my subscriptions with Apple. Now I get invoiced from Relive direct. I have never been on there homepage or member with them. Canceling from subscriptions not possible - you have to pay for another year. Bad business behavior.
Good before changes
Have been using this app for years and enjoyed it but recent changes are making me change my mind. It now takes three inputs to start a workout. When I’m starting, I don’t want to go through multiple steps. I’m getting started and should just have a quick start button on the main page. When I occasionally post a 3d video to share with friends on Facebook, it now just posts a link to the video and nobody likes following links from there. It used to post the video directly there.

I miss this app!
This app used to be AMAZING but they keep sabotaging every possible feature so that they can lock it behind a paywall. It’s so slimy and underhanded. I understand limiting some functions like number of photos to encourage users to switch to the premium version but trimming your route and changing the title should still be baseline features. If the app worked better, I would happily purchase premium but the way things are going… it’s only a matter of time before they remove features from premium as well to force your hand into getting a new “super plus premium” membership that’s twice the price.

Trim Route Default (Please Fix)
Was a great app but need the ability to edit and trim routes or I can’t share my rides or even use the app. Many times I leave the app going till I know I’m done riding. This leave me and others with no ability to get real data later on without a terminate trim edit ability. Without trim the app is useless seeing as it leaves some data without a way to recover needed data.

Updates removed features
I have used the paid version for several years but will be unsubscribing. Features in previous versions that I found useful have disappeared in the latest version. It used to be easy to view and trim a downloaded video inside Relive, but that feature is gone. It used to be easy to trim an entire Relive. That feature was especially useful if I forgot to end the Relive recording at the end of a ride or hike and unintentionally recorded a piece of the car ride back home from the trail head. But that feature is gone now too.

With every new revision the app deteriorates more and more. Forces you to create useless videos and made trip performance overview hard to find. Will find another app.
Works well but poor website and downloads issue
It’s is supposed to allow download of gpx files but they are downloaded as xml format, I had to use an online converter. The website profile is really badly laid out
