Not a good app
The app pauses periodically. Used it twice and same result. Can’t use it.

It is a great app it is just hard if you already used a app for tracking your workouts and it doesn’t connect but other then that phenomenal

Has lots of internal inconsistencies….. records workout times at twice the actual time in service. It’s ok for basic training….. map sections are very poor

I use the feedback on this app to gauge my workouts and plan my week. I also love seeing what my friends and family are up to with training.
Worst than Meta Verse
I can’t find any settings, for add activity or pictures, why I have to pay 150 $ only add activity and photos. Ridiculous!
Amazing to track everything, import feature could be better
I have really enjoyed using Strava since my friend introduced me to it. I love logging the various kinds of workouts on here. I am a pretty active person and am so Type A that this does me so much good with all the tracking of activities. Still, I do wish the import feature, particularly from the Hevy app, was a bit more accurate regarding duration of a workout. I’ve had multiple instances when I was at the gym for over an hour and the app only displays 30 minutes or so. I would either love to have an edit feature for the imported activity or see the import itself have more accurate times with collaboration from both Strava and Hevy.
No Longer Worth It
Strava has lost their focus and become money hungry, where newer users are blindly willing to pay to get features that were free in the past. My first activity was in September 2012 and I have 799 activities with Strava. Since I’ve been using it, I remember the athlete focus and innovative drive - seeing the heatmaps come out, seeing other people who were running in a race near you, and being able to create segments and view KOM leaderboards were awesome…and free. When the premium option came out, there were actually elements that were premium worthy. Over time, the free option were slowly added to premium. The premium ads and free trial ads, and emails, highlight that they’re interested in the paying customers experience. I’m done with them and deleting my account.

Constant Ad Pop Up
This is a one-star app simply because I can’t navigate to a new screen without getting an advertisement for their premium subscription. Constant harassment is one way to get me to NOT subscribe to your paid service. Do better.

the only reason I give it 4 and not 5 is because I have runna, I pay for Runna, they are the same owners right? why should I pay for two separate apps? they serve the same purpose, if anything Runna has more
App doesn’t support Sprint workouts
Great app for many reasons, but of all the workout listed to choose from, you cannot select and account for Sprints/interval training. Garmin will let you record training this way but when you import that workout to Strava, it records the training as one continuous exercise, not accounting for the breaks/rest in between sets. It’s more amazing than frustrating that an app like Strava could be absent such a beneficial workout to be able to record and update our fitness goals. Please fix.
Disappointed
Primary sport only includes Running and cycling . I use Strava for walking everyday but because the app doesn’t recognize this I don’t get any statistics on my home page. I gave up paid subscription because of this and won’t pay until this changes.

Stop changing UI
It’s really annoying it keeps changing screen from my metrics on runs. I don’t want to see a full screen map, I only got this app for my metrics and it doesn’t cut it due to hostile user changes
Password issue resolved…
I’m updating my review because they resolved the issue I was having with changing my password. I really enjoy this app and love a lot of the functionality and community aspects. It is the best app I’ve used for tracking workouts, runs, hikes, connecting with others, etc. I do think it should be easier to reach customer service when issues are access related, but they came through and got it fixed so I’m updating my review to four stars. If they improve access to live customer service agents (especially when issues are access related), I’ll update my review to five stars. Overall, great app!
Spam/Bot accounts are out of control
I get follow requests on a nearly daily basis from what are clearly spam/fake/bot accounts…presumably for pig butchering scams. I’m getting quite tired of doing Strava’s trust and safety work for them each day. Strava, you need to dial up your investment in this area—as a (paying) subscribing this really makes me want to find alternatives.
Private Notes unable to update on mobile version
Since the latest update I can no longer add private notes the screen keeps automatically scrolling up to hide the field Is there no way to hide photos and exercises fields et. When adding weight training? Being able to customize views means we can access the fields we need and hide the useless ones in the way

I wanted to use the app to find local bike trails. But it keeps bugging me to sub whenever I try to check out a route. Not worth it
Love Strava; Don’t really need the subscription
Strava’s best paid feature is the absence of “There is so much more to Strava…” pop-ups. Dismissing those is an endurance sport of its own.
GPS tracking is terrible
I went for an “8 mile” run with my friend yesterday , after completing the run - going off my strava we realised the gps had completely overestimated the distance on the app, my friends garmin showed we actually ran 20% less distance. When looking on the maps it showed mine was all fuzzy and was adding extra distance in. So frustrating when I’m trying to train for a half marathon and I think I’ve been running less distance for such a long time.
Where’s The Step Count?
The app is fantastic for everything it offers but the one thing it lacks is detailing the number of steps you’ve done on a walk or run. This is the one thing I wanted and you can’t get it, especially when sharing a post/route. I’m gutted as I’ve cancelled my subscription because of it.

Greedy company and no customer support
How this app has 4.8 stars in incredible. Customer support is awful ai that doesn’t even function. I literally can’t login to my account and to get support, I need to login to my account. Explain that logic.
New Photo Gallery Needs Some Work
I’ve been using Strava for a while and love the community, but the new profile photo gallery needs to bring back a feature that was previously available. Clicking a photo in a gallery no longer lets you open the associated activity. It would be a huge quality-of-life improvement to tap a photo and jump directly to the run or ride, rather than scrolling through months of past activities to find it.
Stop with all the bells and whistles
I can’t turn off the BS AI nonsense (Athlete Intelligence) and now every time I open the app it asks me to set a goal. I don’t want to do this but I can’t seem to make it stop.
No Support for Spin Sessions that I can see
OK so you can automatically upload a spin workout from Life Fitness ICG app but for some reason Strava will default the session with your road bike 🤷♂️. You can't specify the workout as a spin session and you can't add a spin bike to your bike list.🤷♂️

the recent update makes actually using the app to record an activity a nightmare. i am forced to watch the same 2 second video every time i hit upload, but if i tap anything on accident there will be a slew of pop ups - it is way overdone. that’s all not to mention the several infamous price hikes of the past few years, none of which improved app quality particularly.

Poor syncing with Apple Watch
Once connected, this app is supposed to sync with all Apple Watch activities, but it doesn’t. It syncs randomly. It missed a 12k run I did, and a 4hr hike, but then synced a 10 minute stroll. Not good.

Poor function and support
Got a new apple watch recently, and thought I'd check out the fitness app all my friends rave about. Issue is, it will not capture my heart rate. Has all permissions, I'm a "premium" subscriber, confirmed its paired with my watch, but nothing. Their support is just an AI chatbot that cycles through the same 3 unhelpful "fixes." Its a shame cause I really wanted to like the app!
Kudos and effort graph
Bring in a function that allows to remove kudos and bring back the standard large relative effort graph for weekly progress.
Gets the location wrong!
Generally, this app is very good for monitoring your exercise, but there is one real flaw which makes it extremely annoying to use. It seems incapable of working out the correct location. It picks a location which can be many miles away and then states categorically that that’s where you ran, which is extremely misleading. Not being able to work out a location in this day and age is totally unacceptable. But to make it worse, they don’t even allow you to correct the invalid location! Apparently it is because they use some free mapping data which is known to having very poor location data accuracy. Given the amount they charge for the subscription, this seems to be cheap skate move and it does make you wonder whether they cut corners with other parts of the software.
Disappointed
I used this for a few months with a team I was training with. Unfortunately I thought I cancelled and obviously didn’t. I had already deleted the app and now I’m having trouble stopping the payments even when I cancelled my card. Unable to contact them by phone and no answer to emails so I found communication difficult (and expensive). Somehow they got my new card details even though it was meant to have been hidden by the bank.
Longest Running Subscription
I’ve been a Strava subscriber for over 10 years, and it still gets me out the door. It works whether I’m chasing a segment or just logging an easy day — the competitive side is there when I want it and out of the way when I don’t. I sign up for every challenge I can, and the achievements keep me coming back. You’ve got me for life.

App not recording as fast as it once did.
I’ve had Strava for a long time but recently I’ve noticed it doesn’t record your activity as quick as it once did. I seem to be getting a lot of messages from them asking me to go premium, which isn’t what I need. I’m wondering if this delay action has something to do with this.
Marketing is irritating
I left the sub version as all of the marketing features only wokey looking kids. That is not something that I want to support or encourage.

Absolutely love Strava. Just need my whinge heard. Stop shoving “Runna” in my face literally all over the app!!!! I’m paying for a subscription and have since you made it pretty much mandatory to have one - I don’t want to then be advertised at constantly for a plan I don’t need.
