Boring but useful
The chat support widget sends marketing messages called Heads-up without consent even after support request. Cheaper to pay with GoTyme, and turn Shyft notifications off.🔕
Limited functionality
The App is frustrating to work with and has limited functionality in terms of filtering and watchlists. The in app Bot is not as useful as you’d like and you have to go around in circles before you can finally speak to an agent.
Additional Currencies
Hi, surely this can be expanded to more than 4 currencies out of almost 200 options? Why the limitation?

Poor support , missing funds
The app promises that you will get your money within minutes after selling your shares. I have been waiting for 16hrs now and nothing. All you get is “we are working on it “

Auto exit app
Is there any one has the same issue as me, I have installed the APP on my iPhone 15pm, and I used my username and password to login, it require to click the link sent by email to authorize the device, however, when I click the link and get into Shyft app, and after I click “let us do this”, the app exit immediately.
Hot and cold
5 stars for the physical Forex card, worked easily on multiple currencies. 1 star for the virtual cards. Gets rejected by many online sites, rendering it useless as an online payment card.
Incredible App! 🤩
Shyft has changed my life! I travel frequently and using it has made my life SO MUCH easier when I need funds abroad 😅 I have never run into an app error, never had to wait on someone on the backend to update / approve something - I am able to FULLY buy foreign currencies, move funds, create virtual cards for spending and it’s all SEAMLESS! I can even move funds into vault to earn interest! Could the charges be lower? Sure! But any banking institution is like this. I can’t WAIT until they come out with a $ savings account to earn interest! GO TEAM SHYFT! You guys have changed my life! Thank you!
Facial verification failed on iPad
The app is unable to rotate on my iPad and as result cannot capture my face. Poor testing and design

5.1.0 update buggy as hell
Prior to the June update, Shyft is my app of the year as it makes travel budget planning and expense tracking a breeze. The latest update is very buggy, notably that when scrolling down to view cards in glovalview, they flash at 10 times a second so you can’t see the names or amounts. In Manage Cards, the virtual cards disappear and reappear, and the balance of physical cards goes to 0 when in this mode. Please fix!

I love the ease of using Shyft and how responsive the help function is!
Poor service
So after several rejected payments and pure service from the company I am closing this account. They return paid funds to sender and and struggle to manage international payments. I don’t recommend using this app.
Shyft keyboard
You app would be a lot more user friendly it it automatically defaulted to a keyboard which shows all keys used to enter email addresses and passwords. Many apps have this default and I would value it if you upgraded to that option
Can’t process transaction
For just over a week I’ve not been able to process any transactions. Every time I do - after accepting the charges - the app crashes and I end up on my iPhone home screen. This was previously working just fine. I’ve reinstalled the app but no change.. very frustrating..

Terrible Support and No Accountability
The service from Shyft has been extremely frustrating. My international payment was delayed for days, and when I asked for help, all I got were the same copy-and-paste “awaiting feedback” messages. It didn’t feel like an actual human was assisting me. I was travelling and could have easily been stranded because of this delay, yet there was zero urgency or accountability from support. No clear updates, no explanation, nothing. The communication is terrible and the customer service is honestly disappointing. Shyft needs to fix their support and actually help people when things go wrong.
Widgets
The app is great, consider having widgets, would love being able to have some views without opening the app. Eg. Wishlist, Percentage up or down, Forex Rates, Current Markets, etc.

1. I have done a transfer from dollars to rands but it doesn’t appear in my Standard Bank account. 2. I would also like to start a trading account with this App . Is it possible as I want to use it as my safety net workstation for all my financial activities.

Great app for forex and international transactional card purchases. Just wish the deposits would be faster when topping up.
Temperamental cards
My experience over the past 2-3 years has been up and down. Over the first year, the physical card would randomly stop working. A lot more stable now. The virtual card doesn’t work with Uber or Uber eats . But the ease of converting currency is useful.
Great app
Love the simplicity of Forex at excellent rates for the man in the street. Excellent support when required.
Dividents
Why do a person not get notified when a divident is paid and from which company it was paid. Also can not find out how long after the published payment date it will be available in your account.
Great app, a big tricky to navigate
Great app as it runs smoothly and efficiently. However, a bit tricky to navigate in terms of where to do what and often takes a few minutes to figure out how to action certain intentions.

Hidden fees beware
Horrible!! I downloaded it transferred money just to find out 5% fees being added. Then have to pay R35 to get my own money back!!!! Horrible. Hidden fees. Stay away.
Fabulous app but…
Trying to get money from your wallet to your card is a nightmare. Not very user friendly at all.
Stuck on “Logging in” screen
9 times out of 10 I can’t get further than the “Logging in” screen. It just gets stuck. I really wish the app was more reliable
Unable to withdraw
Wow , ridiculous app, couldn’t withdraw cash balance to my bank account , support couldn’t help , they even suggested withdrawing entire amount at ATM !? Error had no back button so have to restart app each time . still not resolved. Embarrassing for standard bank
