Such an amazing store
I go to this store in the Northridge mall and it is super nice! The workers are super helpful, it is very clean, and they have very diverse options in the store! It can go from light clothing and accessories to darker clothing and accessories, there are countless anime’s and cartoon stuff in the store plus if you ask them sometimes they will try to get stuff others will buy based on recommendations! The workers are so nice, they will even check on you in the store to see if you need help with anything, they will check in the back to make sure that they do or do not have the item you want without complaining or giving you a hard time about it and if you explain to them what you want to buy and how you like things they will try to find an item more personalized to you in the store or something they like that they think you may like. Everytime I go into the store I’m so comfortable getting on the ground to look for things because it is… SO, CLEAN! I’m not worried about my clothes getting dirty because their floors arent dirty, in addition it isnt infested with bugs like other stores I’ve been too, it’s very well kept and if there happens to be an accidental spill theyre quick to clean it. One of the workers I was actually with today named Alice was super helpful, she helped me with my order and made checking out my items very easily. Kinda like youre talking to a friend, so yeah I would go to the hot topic store in the Northridge mall or anywhere! I love hot topic! Forever one of my favorite stores!😁
Unable to place online orders!
I hate the app! Uninstalled from my phone. I recently moved and when I changed my address I started having constant issues. This company just lost a longtime customer.

Cannot open the app 😞 constant loading screen now
The app has not been working since Easter, thus I have not been able to check my wishlist and look on the app. I have done all the troubleshooting checks and it still gives me a white loading screen. Since then, I have been able to login to the website, which has not been a problem.
It’s good but lots of bad cons
I LOVEEE THE APP AND I GET TONS OF DISCOUNTS but some times they will put on a new item but the very next day it will be gone from existence or sometimes they don’t alert me about new things and I could go into so much other detail about all the other stuff that is fed but otherwise this is a good app for when you wanna order things

Checkout is broken.
The app needs to be fixed. I’ve had an issue for months where all the items in my cart are marked as shipping to my house but when I go to check out, half of them switch to in-store pickup and I can’t change it. I have to order through web browser.

Kidding! But it feels that way. I once placed an order and my shipping cost was $100USD. Meanwhile Torrid, Dolls Kill and other comparable US sites have flat rate shipping to Canada and sometimes even free shipping if you buy a certain amount. Also there is always an “error fetching [my] Wishlist.” This all sucks because I love their products.

As an ALT dresser, hot topic is great for alt styles like scene. But I’m in Canada and it doesn’t have Canadian dollars or shipping to Canada , but it’s a great place to find clothes and plushys . If there was a Canadian dollars or shipping to Canada through out this app it’s a 5/5 stars but only 3/5 because canda dollars aren’t here

In store is great, the app not so much
I love hot topic, most of my clothes are from there. but the app just feels like a big joke. In store pickup is always unavailable. half the things in your cart they can’t even ship to you. sometimes, i’ll even buy stuff just to get alerted it’s actually sold out. Do better. Make a Canadian site so we can actually order things.

App is useless. I can log in online fine. The app says my info isn’t recognized. I reset my password, logged in online just fine again, but the app AGAIN says my info isn’t recognized. What’s the point of an app if it doesn’t recognize the login info?

When going to the Checkout , Calculate the full price from USD to CAD if you’re in canada , sometimes the “20 USD Shipping” makes it more expensive. also use Paypal. Using the Credit Card option on the Website will cause Errors & Chargebacks (by experience 😭🙏)
Love it, but needs to have a Canadian prices.
So I ordered some items, not knowing it would charge more due to the prices being set to USD. I love going to the Hot Topic in-person stores, but I live up north where there is none. I got scared when it charged more than I expected, but customers service was excellent and helped me. Just wished it were in Canadian currency or at least had a warning before ordering.

Never works
I have tried to make to different purchases with hot cash I’ve gained and five dollar off that I’ve had for two orders one being 130 and the next order being 90 each time they make sure to use your hot cash but the order doesn’t place or go through called customer service yesterday. Had it reinstated tried again today still didn’t work.
What’s up with the wishlist?
For both the wishlist and “bag” it seems to glitch out when full and then doesn’t allow you to remove everything. I personally love the app and use it frequently but I really wish I could edit my wishlist again.

Never able to check out!!
I love Hot Topic the store but HATE this app. I’ve had to call customer support and complete my orders over the phone because I’m never able to check out in the app. I’ve tried Apple pay, PayPal, and adding in card details and nothing works. And not even an error message or something pops up, the page just refreshes and nothing has happened. And even customer service reps have said they know it’s an issue because of other customers complaining when they call. I’m over it and I’m likely just going to delete the app altogether soon.

App does work really well, I haven’t had it lag out or crash anything so that experience is good. However, they’ve got a wide selection of really cool shirts that… don’t ship internationally! The unfortunate thing is it doesn’t specify which ones either until you go to Check-Out and then it states which ones. Unfortunately, it’s quite a lot of what’s on there. Not even to Canada, and we have the Hot Topic stores here so I really don’t know what’s up with that. I don’t mind waiting the extra days for the shirts to be printed either… but that’s not even an option. That being said, for tracking the orders of what things -can- be shipped here, app works great for that too.

TERRIBLE APP!!!
Honestly one of the most irritating shopping apps to use. Item stock is frequently inaccurate, ive ordered multiple times only for them to cancel because they don’t have stock (even tho they say its in stock) and when items are cancelled, they use up my coupons and don’t give it back! Sooooo inconvenient to spend so much time trying to buy something and its 1. NOT AVAILABLE TO SHIP OR PICK UP 2. THE STORE CANCELS THE ORDER 3. COUPONS DONT SHOW UP/WORK. Invest in a better app

I love a lot of the stuff you can get but the clothes are really pricey. In the app everything is also only shown in USD so I can’t see the actual price of everything unless I convert it myself because I live in Canada. Great app though

Bad app
I love hottopic but the app isn’t very good. The search mechanic isn’t accurate at all. There’s so much saturation (you’ll se every product in every color as a different listing) that scrolling through to shop/browse is useless. I hope they organize the app and make it better soon because I would love to be able to shop online. I really feel like going in store is the only way to actually find what you’re looking for.
Canadian Store
I wish there was a function to switch to Canadian, half the items aren’t available to ship to Canada and the things that do ship to Canada have a crazy exchange price that practically no one can afford. I also want the wishlist to have categories too, I’ve got a crazy amount of items on my wishlist but I’ll never be able to find anything specific cause it’s all lumped together with no way to filter or sort through it.
