Impressive app for online banking
Very user friendly and pretty impressive for online banking.
Font Size is too small
On iPhone, the app’s font size is too small. Kindly increase the default font size or provide an option that allows users to adjust the font size according to their preferences.

Features are disorganised. And they wont even let you login your app the moment there is a new update which is bothersome if you’re in a time critical situation

The New app is the worst, everything about this app sucks, secondly what is the point of asking for my location every time? It won’t allow me to login to my account with turning location services on first. What nonsense.

Hub of fraud transaction
The mostly banking faruds are done by HBL nobody listens and did no action because employees are involved
Available balance not mentioned on screen while doing a transaction
When doing a fund transfer, the available balance of the selected “From account “ should be displayed somewhere on the screen. In the current application, we have to remember how much balance is available in each account and then select correct account and enter the appropriate amount. Am I using a mobile banking application, or am I taking a secondary school math exam? 😀

The new app version is SO BAD
Ever since the new version launched, i have been having issues w transferring money. it’s slow and not interactive at all. most of the time it says app or service unavailable for no reason at all. Please fix it, it’s very annoying. Previous version was seamless and almost never had any problems

Nightmare to recover password
Beware if you change your phone and you forget your password, you’ll never get your app working again whatever you do. It’s been a week I’ve done everything calling helpline was just wasting time they would never guide you properly and if you visit branch they will keep on insisting to call helpline they cannot do anything so basically I’m stuck I cannot use this app again gone forever.
Issue with hbl mobile app in iPhone
The app does not load, it keeps crashing every time I click on the hbl mobile app icon on my iPhone. I am hoping someone can help me with this
Hangs and can’t view accurate credit card statement.
The old app was better. This one gets stuck frequently and the credit card view is useless. The old app gave you full transaction details on credit card usage. This app does not show transactions, just totals, which is useless to me.
The good, bad and ugly
Good - Responsive and not sluggish. Nice integration with other apps such as HBL asset management. Works in PK and International (almost) Bad - No easy option to select default account for any transactions/ transfers if you have more than one account. Ugly - No option to enter exact amounts while managing transfer limits. One has to use sliders bar to specify limits. Also no option to enter pin to register a mobile device while out of country without mobile service even though HBL email OTP is setup.

Not compatible with iPhone
App is not compatible with iPhone, not aligning with iPhone screen size. All text and graphics are overlapping. Update is disaster and launched without testing.
Prestige
The prestige icon should be replaced with this green app. This would look more professional.
Foreign currency accounts
The overseas Pakistani should have access to convert their pak rupees from their Pakistan accounts to USD accounts in USD with in Pakistan in HBL through mobile app
Payonerr not working (again!!!)
With the new update , payoneer login is not working. You login, fill out everything and it says you have successfully connect with hbl and then it take u to some web and tell you to get the app of playstore or appstore, you go back and boom it will ask for login again and the cycle continues
Face ID missing
I can see biometric Id in the app but Face ID is missing. I have iPhone 11 and my HBL app is also up to date but I can’t use Face ID in it and biometric I’d I can’t use on iPhone 11. Please look into the issue. Thanks
Services Got Worst Since a Month
App and services have gone very pathetic:(. I have been using HBL since pretty long time. The app has been working all good, until the day they switched from Conventional to Islamic, almost a month ago. Since then balance transfer issues, app throwing Location error, despite of location enabled and on latest app version. You cannot see realtime transactions you have made. You have to wait until the end of next working day, means any transactions made on Friday cannot be seen in statement or anywhere until Monday night.

Unfortunately, banking is great but has no privacy. Why is it important to get location information while banking? I don’t turn on the location services ever but for and this is violation of my privacy

After updates app this message (Sorry! We are unable to process your request. Rest assured, our services will be available soon) I can’t open this app from a week (Reply) i delete app 3 time and re install same issue.

Great Improvement in application
Great improvement in the HBL application. International transactions from a USD account to a PKR account are now performing much better. The process is smoother, faster, and more reliable than before.
Doesn’t work after update
I was forced to update the app and now it is stuck at an empty link/delink screen without any choices.
