New ads for old users
I’ve used SmartLife for easily 4 years now and up until the most recent update have had no complaints. Most recently however, ads have been brought to the app and are frustrating and annoying to deal with. I think there should have been consideration for users that have been using the app for years now to be grandfathered into an adless version.
Climate control
It would be great if you could add a percentage-based fan speed control for air conditioners (e.g., set airflow strength anywhere from 1% to 100%). Other smart home platforms, such as Midea's app, already allow setting the fan speed directly to 1%. Since this is a software-level functionality, implementing it would significantly improve user experience and climate control.

Horrible in every way
They show you ads in the app!? Repulsive! Also: when you want to dim a light, it is impossible to move the dimmer to the right or left. It literally simply doesn’t move anymore. This used to work. Now it doesn’t anymore. And randomly lights will go from warm light to cold light even though nothing was touched. I can no longer control the dimmer of any of my lights and now have to buy new bulbs for a new app.

Connectivity Issues
Once my devices are connected to the app, SmartLife works great. However, the connection process gives me issues every time. We occasionally have house sitters who turn off the lights and every time this happens it is such a headache to get devices reconnected. I have other smart lights from other brands that have no issues but SmartLife specifically gives me a very hard time. I would recommend other brands than SmartLife.

This app is too slow to open. Even when it is open it is slow to refresh.

AI made it worse
Ever since they updated the app with the AI features, it has been acting terribly. Lightbulbs continuously disconnect, when I try to reconnect it sends me to find an app in my settings instead of my WiFi network? Brightness slider unresponsive, color slider always just jumps to white no matter where I touch the screen. The “how can I help you” AI thing gives zero helpful advice, it doesn’t even look in the app for solutions it just searches the web and responds with nonsense. I’d say a clump of dried pus redesigned the app but that would be an insult to clumps of dried pus.
Vevor 7 in 1 weather station
Using this app for the vevor weather station only gives the current day’s rainfall. It would-be nice if you could access all the info from the weather station console such as cumulative totals.
Terrible lag on loading the correct status
This app has so much potential but the user experience is so lacking, no status update on the timer function for water meter, you open a valve and you don’t know if it open or not, the schedule is him in some sub menu if you remember where you set it up initially, the lag on loading the pages is terrible, I really can’t see why’s this is rated so high, really needs a serious improvement on speed and usability.

Since introduction of connectivity via blue tooth , most of the time it doesn’t work and I am planning to swap to other apparently

This used to be a good app. then you decided to use AI and now you can’t find anything because it blocks it. thanks.
Great app but needs Mx Mac support
Great app works with most of my devices (no idea why there is a 1 star review think they need to stop and think as app works fine) but falling behind other home control apps not having Apple silicon Mac support, the app will work on newer Macs since same CPU architecture as iPhones and iPads, just enable use in Mx Macs, should not take much effort. 2026, still needs the switch flicked on compilation to allow macOS execution like many other iPhone apps.

app works good kinda confusing to connect however the ai assistant thing is stupid. not every app needs ai id argue none of them do but atleast it makes sense for some, tf do i need an ai assistant for, my lightbulbs? like hey ai completely decimate an entire lake so u can turn my lights off rq.
Flexible and useful, but 7.10 is buggy
I’ve been using this app for years and appreciate how usable the automation and user interface is. It has a few rough spots (devices sometimes disconnect) but it’s mostly a great product. I’d have given a 5 but… lately they’re adding so much useless AI and at the sacrifice of the other features. Please don’t ruin your app. Additionally, v7.10 broke the weather-related triggers. Turning things on/off when the temperature goes too high or low doesn’t work anymore.

Genauso wie eure durchschnittliche Bewertung von 4,6 … schaut man sich die vergangenen an, dann solltet ihr bei 1,0 stehen - alles Fake ! Die Koppelung klappt jedenfalls nicht - egal ob 2,4 GHz und WPA2 oder eben nicht 🤮
Latest update brought ads & glitch
The latest updates brought advertisements to my device homepage. Extremely tacky move. Also, after the latest updates, I have to open each device twice. For example, when I open my air-conditioning icon, the app opens my porch light, and vice-versa. I have to close the device and reopen it to control the desired device. Can you folks just leave things alone? The app was working flawlessly, until you pushed out these HORRIBLE updates.

Why make it so complicated?
This app is so convoluted and un-friendly for users with just lightbulbs. I don’t need an Ai in my “turn the lights on and off” app to help make my life more organized or help me with a workout schedule, especially since it can’t even turn my lights on and off when I ask it too. At the very least, I can turn them on and off myself, but making it happen as quickly as flicking a switch is not so simple.
Pictures
Still waiting on you to allow for pictures on the switches. I get the whole privacy thing, but no reason not to have generic options. Hard to differentiate between switches that all have the same picture. May need to look into a different app.

iPad Pro. When I select a camera I no longer have a full screen option. Please fix🙏 Fixed in less than 24 hours. Magic👍 very much appreciated 🙏
Doesn’t even work properly
This is by far the most frustrating app I’ve probably ever used to the point where I’m actually leaving a review. Worked great for the first couple hours then it just half works constantly not connecting to the light bulbs . Super over complicated way to group them under one control . Then out of nowhere the controls just stop working. This app is an absolute joke . JUST GIVE ME APPLE HOME ACESS your app is grabage and you have the audacity to charge money for it on top of that . I just want to control my lights it should NOT BE THIS COMPLICATED

App within an app
I downloaded Smart-Life but every time I open it, I pop-up tells me I have to update another app called home. When I chatted for help after three non-helpful responses I was told to continue I needed to pay money. what a scam.
One thing the app could use
I would give it 5 stars if they added so Color on where the valve (faucet ) is open . . Make the background green to show it’s open .
Works but not perfect
I have an electricity monitor. They work and show you live data as well as a total consumption but don’t break actual consumption numbers down into days and months as totals. You just get a total since it was installed and monthly graphs of consumption rather than a number per day / month. About poor really.
Constantly having signal issues
The only app i have problems with ‘connection issues and all my devices stop working. Very inconvenient and i have VERY good wifi

Why did you take away the random option for smart plugs?
Good app
It’s a good app but it now identifies my WiFi light switches as power sockets which took a while to work out when one of them disconnected. It took me a while to get reconnected. Although I have always wondered why it made this distinction in the first place as they their functionality is the same
Pointless Bandwagon Jumper
This has always been great, but now they’re of the opinion that having Alexa, Google, Siri, et al as voice assistants for my lights and plugs isn’t enough and they now need to add their own AI to the app. Not required and an absolutely pointless endeavour. This app has always worked well but is now getting weighed down with totally unnecessary bloat, but hey..there’s an AI bandwagon bubble going through town, better jump on it eh?
Works good but...
The app works well but there's few issues. "Turn off" when the heating is off? Why display turn off when the heating is already off? It should be ON when the heating is on and OFF when the heating is off! Simple. Also why are some numbers so small? Doesn't make sense. Everything needs to be clearly seen.

I’ve been using Smart Life for years now as I had so many different apps for different smart devices so I was looking for a way to get all my smart devices into one app and I was advised to download Smart Life and it’s rarely let me down. It seems to recognise nearly all smart devices Bluetooth/WIFI etc.. Anyway thanks to the Smart Life team for making this possible Five stars all the way! Highly recommended

Will disconnect regularly for no reason
If your “smart” plug is taking care of lighting plants, of an aquarium or any other light dependent thing know that it will fail after a couple months. You will see your plants burned because that thing disconnected itself WITHOUT LETTING YOU KNOW. I regret buying these so much

Does not work well with Alexa
Alexa is a big thing in our house. We use it for most of our smart devices. Whilst it is easy to link to Alexa it works for a couple of days and stops working. Un linking and re linking may work some of the time but 95% it does not. Apart from that the app does exactly as it’s supposed to
