Easy to open accounts
I just opened an account for platinum savings and it was extremely easy.
App functionality
App is broken, “unable to complete request”, every time I attempt to sign in. App is updated weekely
App Experience
The bank itself is great. I’ve never had any issues. I have had a high-yield savings account with them for about three years now. The app is a little outdated, but it works well for me as a chronic spender, the slower traditional process of having to wait for funds to transfer to my external account.
This app does not work
Maybe Citbank is good but I always have a hard time signing in. The screen glitches

Login is Broken
Something with with biometrics makes it impossible for me to login on the app. It keeps giving me some “invalid login” popup. I’m only able to get it to login when I force shut off biometrics every time it auto enables it when I reopen the app. Everything works fine on the website.

Buggy
So many bugs. When it works it’s great but so many times a month it won’t let you log in after text and biometrics. 100% the apps fault. Ongoing for over a year

Attempted to make an account. Lagged out multiple times. Prevented creation and funding when trying to take advantages of APY boost. App screen is blank not even a login. Best HYSA rate? Sure if you want your funds inaccessible. I was going to fund a substantial amount and use for emergencies. This is why people shy away from online only institutions.
Clunky
Very simple and pretty easy to navigate. But overall a clunky app that could be easier to use and find information. I think current APR and other things should be displayed on main home page
Interest paid diminished
The amount Citbank is now paying for interest is so low, it is no longer worth having this account.

I really like the CIT Bank online app. The most important account information is clearly visible on the first page. I can easily find the links to the services, and more account details, on the first page as well.
The App Doesn’t Work
I am baffled that this app has 4.8 stars. the app is useless. You’re going to have to end up using the website. Do not even bother to download.
Ask for a better rate
Over the last three years CIT has cut the rate on my Money Market fund without notice. Then I find they are advertising a higher rate. Each time I call in and I am given the higher rate. This is absurd. CIT should value their existing customers and not put them through this annually.
Terrible
This app is terrible but so is the website. Actually, the app even might be a smidge better than the website, which is so bad it’s hard to believe it’s a functioning bank. That said, I can (usually) log in and out and see my balance, so it’s not bad enough to give up the high interest rate.
Great Rates; Clunky User Experience
Hard to find a better HYSA rate. The app is clunky to me. Additionally, I really want to use a bucket system for different sinking funds within a single HYSA; however, the smart saver feature on CIT’s app is glitchy, not seamless to navigate to, and doesn’t offer a clean presentation.

Bad functionality for a banking app
Constant issues with the app not opening, or not wanting to log me in. I’ve had to delete the app and redownload it multiple times. Whoever they have working on the backend of the app, doing network stuff, seriously needs to make it more robust. My app is currently in an unstoppable page refresh loop, and closing out and reopening the app does nothing.

WORST APP EVER
I’ve made at least 2 accounts. First account I had just made tried logging in and IT WONT LET ME LOG IN. I’ve already confirmed my bank and everything. Password and user is right. I waited a couple days tried again nope didn’t let me log in. Made another account hoping it would work to let me login the account and it still doesn’t! I’m so upset and worried about my private information that I have shared with this bank. Will try to call tomorrow but this really is a headache. It shouldn’t be this difficult to get into a account!
Ok app
Could be a little easier to use on the hysa side. It woods also be nice to have some additional features such as being able to split hysa into different buckets for different savings.

Listen, the app might not be perfect. You might get a spinning wheel. It might be troublesome to login from time-to-time—But! When an elder client (who is spending big money with you) has done their research and tells you that this bank is the way to save and earn… you listen! Right she was. My platinum savings account has kept me accountable and is the reason I have achieved many wonderful things in my life and have so many goals worth looking forward to!
Bad app
I can’t see my accounts. The home button takes you just to see offers. The accounts button isn’t clickable. I just want to see my accounts before I do anything else.

Would feel more comfortable if money availability was as shorter. Not great if money is needed in an emergency.
Easy no brainer HYSA
I’ve had a great experience with the CIT Bank app. I really like how simple and straightforward it is. The app is easy to navigate, I’ve never had any issues with it, and logging in is quick and hassle-free. I can easily check my savings whenever I want without having to dig through a bunch of menus. Overall, it’s a clean, reliable, and user-friendly app that does exactly what I need.

app doesn’t work
I’ve been a member of CIT bank for years now but the app is the worst banking app I’ve ever used. It crashes constantly & has too many issues. For a few months now I haven’t even been able to access my account even though my information is correct & have resorted to signing into my laptop to check my account which is such a hassle. At this point I’m considering closing my account entirely & switching to another bank. On the other hand, I also have an account with Ally & have never had any issues whatsoever with their app.
