Good potential, but ditch the AI
This app has a lot of potential and I was really looking forward to using it as an alternative to mindless scrolling. Unfortunately Google is leaning into AI way too much, including having soulless AI-generated podcasts that “discuss” art. What an insult to humanity! I had to immediately uninstall.
Interface needs much improvement
This app is an incredible, vast resource for you mind and soul. The main issue I have reading it on my ipad is the interface. There are no settings to change the font size, so you almost need a magnifying glass to read it.
Widget is blank if you have your app icons transparent
just ok otherwise, nothing spectacular
Art lover
I love this app, the great detail and the ability to ask question and engage with the topic. This would be amazing if there was one for famous scientists.
Landscape
No landscape doesn’t make any sense on an app dedicated to viewing high resolution artwork. It doesn’t take advantage of the iPad screen size.
Ideas and tips
Hello , I just wanted to say this app is very fun and interesting! But there are some adjustments that could be made! Please could you upload more games on about different subjects for example( like a road race throughout history where you raced to different historic landmarks) And more interactive games that can be played and enjoyed while keeping the beautiful Arts & Culture feel! Make different types of additions of games about different years and can you please make them more often uploaded they aren’t that hard to make and I’m sure they will be valued by many different Arts & Culture users I have recommended your app to quite a few people I know and I hope they’re enjoying it but I would recommend it more and enjoy it more myself if there were more games and different topics that I could enjoy throughout time Thank you for your app and please add more games and features promptly Thank you
cant follow artists now
I used to be able to click on the artist name to jump to a gallery presentation of that artist's works. In the latest update clicking on the artist name does nothing.
AI features are a miss
I think this app is a great resource in general for art fans. But these AI features being pushed upon the user base are a huge turn off. Why would a fan of visual art, likely an artist themselves, want to listen to an AI character podcasting about Starry Night? I think the AI audio stuff is downright useful in Notebook LM, but here? Just feels like a devaluing of human expression to some degree.
BETTER THAN INSTAGRAM
Its like ig...for adult. A fine app!
Broken App
App no longer opens. Getting network error message despite my other apps and network working.

Landscape support for ipad
App is great but please update to support landscape support for iPad. It will only work in portrait mode.
What the heck?!
Bro literally the games don’t work! At school, we play on the website on our iPads and the games work perfectly. But all of a sudden I download it on my phone and the games don’t work! The learning stuff and the camera games work but not the real games like the viola game and the blob opera. Pls fix it!!!

Broken App
This app has failed to work for the last two months. Opening it shows “app error” every time. It’s not a network connection as all my apps work properly except this one.
Needs iOS 26 update
Widget is broken in iOS 26
30 fps scrolling
I have 120hz display and this app artificially restricts frame rate within the app, unusable
No landscape support
Works fine in portrait mode but desperately needs landscape mode.
Greatest app in history of apps!!!!
This app brings me endless joy and wonder! Extremely engaging visual appeal that is so intuitive and easy to use. I love getting lost in their maze of learning! The various ways to learn/search for content, are so smart and fun. Thank you Google!!
This item no longer exists.
I don't use Arts & Culture that often; I only use this more for education. There is a glitch where you cannot remove favorite images (or images in the lists you have made) that show a greyed-out, squiggly/ripped icon. I can delete non-deleted artworks, but not the ones that show these symbols. First, I have tried to use uBlock Origin on my computer, but it won't let me. Second, I sent Google feedback about these deleted posts, but they did not respond. Lastly, I have created a first thread on Google Community, but it got duplicated and created a second one, which was then taken down due to irrelevant data, and they told me to take legal action! I am autistic and innocent, and there is nothing wrong that I've done to have Google report me! They should let people remove posts that no longer exist on their lists, or else we would have to sign a petition on Change.org! p>_< — A heartbroken Nameless (Inactive on YT) (formerly Jules the Boombox Zombie)
Love the concept
I haven’t gotten too deep into using this app but just from my initial impression, I love the idea of a free app where I can discover and learn about arts & culture. My only request from the app developers is to please add a feature to mark if you have seen the famous artworks in person. So to add them to my “collection” and learn more about them as well.
Support IpadOS LANDSCAPE MODE please
and i can not access this app with VPN meanwhile website version I could
Update UI

Extraordinary and wonderful
This is really remarkably thoughtful and cool. simply wonderful.
ai everywhere
the fact there is a large ai box on everything is so annoying it obstructs the view and is just so frustrating. why does ai have to be literally everywhere i turn even when im trying to learn about art. at least make an option to make it go away
Good
Very good app but had some performance issues. Also, on fashion, could you add more to the topic section, stuff like footwear and belts. Thanks
It’s good has bugs
Games perfect but it says that it’s being slow
Version for the iPad(Vertical screen)
Can you please make version for the iPad where we can use the app vertically on our screens. Cause a lot of people use their tablets as a laptop attached to keyboard nowadays. While studying a degree of arts, this will help a lot in the future. Thank you!

PLEASE READ
So I CANT GET IN GAMES BECAUSE “failing to load content”.I restarted and tried other stuff but it still WONT WORK please fix🥺🙏🏻🙏
Nice, but needs a couple of tweaks
I just started using the app so I haven't explored that much. The artwork is gorgeous, of course. One problem for me is that there's no way to adjust the size of the text that accompanies each piece, and it is teeny tiny. There's an accessibility section in settings but all that's there is the ability to choose light or dark mode. Another improvement I would make is to respond to rotation of the device so that artwork that is in a landscape orientation can be shown as large as possible. Right now the app stays in portrait orientation even if you rotate the device.
A sad app capitalizing on actual curation
Interface is good but it’s pretty clear this app is solely relying on using the art data to train their AI models. Kadinsky, Van Gogh, Monet are turning over in their graves.
Not enough art
There’s not enough art on here yet, and it’s been an app for 2 years now? Could be better.
Not that good
I’ve seen better AI filters with TikTok Filters it acts janky often making whatever you take a photo of to not look like the actual thing it’s based off of with weird misconstrues.
Terrible App
No landscape mode is honestly laughable coming from the biggest conglomerate. You’ll implement a bunch of useless tacky (ai) functions without even having a basic working system that allows for landscape mode. The search system makes it impossible to narrow down subject matter. Crashes all the time. When you’re looking through archives and go past a certain point it will crash and you’ll have to start from the beginning. Absolutely disgusting developers
Landscape support on iPad please
That’s all
Umm…Little help please?
So, I just got this app and why is it not loading? I swiped out and restarted my iPad to use it but it says, “check your internet connection and try again but EXCUSE ME, I’M AT ALL BARS SO MY INTERNET IS NOT BAD SO JUSF LOAD IT.
The iPad app needs more work
I was amused by this project when I saw it on web, however it was not so good when I downloaded the iPad app. The first main problem that I had was that the application does not work on landscape mode 🫠. It was a huge deception to me since I have a keyboard and I prefer to work on a landscape mode to see more images. 👎 The second enhancement that Google team should work is a filter when you are looking for an specific painting. I was intrigued by the Bacchanal of Dionysius now that is trending with Paris 2024. But when I hit Greek good and I saw that you can surf between sculptures, paintings, photos that was amazing, however I was only interested in the paintings. 🖼️
Please support iPad landscape mode

Just 2 suggestions
1. can you make all games and labs available for Canada? 2.(if I can’t suggest labs, that’s ok) i’m suggesting a lab where we can make wonderful sheet music that plays a wonderful piece just from a little bit of text
Seems like a good concept
I downloaded this app for my EDUC class. I was able to compare 2 photos to arts in a museum. Unfortunately, after that, every time I click on a photo in my gallery to compare it to art prices, the app crashes and boots me out. Please fix this! This is the main function we’re using the app for in my class!
Great, but...
Version 7.5.xx removed the 360 view from streetview when moving your phone around (but you can still move around by touching the screen), which was one of the best features of this app. Please bring it back. (Still not working on ios 13.5)
You need this app!!!
This is the first time I’ve ever been moved to write an app review. Google Arts & Culture has fully changed the way I use my phone and consume content. This app is full of incredible educational information and learning experiences, everything from fascinating interactive virtual exhibits on the da Vinci codices to articles on history, art galleries, and so much more. I recently decided to delete social media and began replacing it with apps like this, going from mindless scrolling to actually benefitting and learning from what I am consuming has been a game changer. If you’re someone who enjoys learning and appreciates culture and the natural world, or if you’re simply just a curious mind, this is the app for you!! I’m so surprised it’s not more popular.
Gulf of America, my butt
Delete, delete, delete
Looking for the “selfie” feature
Can’t find it
Crash crash crash
This app can show some fantastic art, but trying the enhanced features either does nothing or causes it to crash.
Not in Canada
There are features that you can’t use in Canada, most of which are designed to work with your own photos. Disappointing.
