Oben und unten
Grundsätzlich gut und nützlich. Ich benutze Wiki täglich. Aber warum ist beim iPhone das Suchfeld mal oben (im Verlauf) und mal unten? Das nervt schon ein wenig.

Der Editor stürzt ab bzw. bleibt hängen, wenn man nach der Änderung auf die nächste Stage (Überprüfung) geht. Warum merkt der Tester das nicht?

Wikipedia should not contain nude and otherwise inappropriate imagery. It is used by people of ages, and this can be very harmful. Sometimes articles containing these images show up as daily article, inadvertently exposing people to inappropriate stuff

Leider kann ich beim Suchen nach einem Artikel nicht mehr zwischen den verschiedenen voreingestellten Sprachen wählen. Macht die Suche sehr mühsam.

Doesn’t scroll properly
When you have the content panel open then you can’t scroll smoothly and instead you suddenly jump further up or down in the page. I’ve been waiting for this to be fixed for ages and it’s starting to get annoying.

It’s now being left tool .. I stopped using Wikipedia at all. It’s sad departure for me. I was using Wikipedia since years - but I started realising that this tool only prompts left leaning view on information instead being neutral. Bye bye LEFTpedia
Dark Mode und Nekrolog 🙁
Besonders bei Tabellen ist der Dark Mode sehr unzureichend, da oft weiße Schrift auf weißem Grund angezeigt wird! Sehr unpraktisch! Zudem wünsche ich mir noch immer den grünen Button, zum Tagesgeschehen, zurück! Und der "kürzlich Verstorbene" Tab sollte auch bitte wieder zum tagesaktuellem Geschehen hinzugefügt werden!!! Geht bei iOS sonst nur über die Webseite!
Not as convenient as the site itself!
I love wikipedia, but this app is just hard to navigate. There were times when I was redirected through browser to this app, and I had a hard time finding what I was looking for. Then I close this app, and go to the site, and voila. There it was! Im not asking you to make direct rip of the site, but make it as easy to navigate as the site.
Update-Fehler
Leider kann ich nach dem heutigen Update die ansonsten sehr gute App nicht mehr öffnen. Es funktioniert nur durch langes Drücken auf das App-Symbol und danach eine Auswahl antippen. Merkwürdiger „Umweg“ und Verhalten der App!

Design ist ok, im Artikel läuft alles soweit in Ordnung. Nur das eingeben in der Suchleiste laggt enorm, man tippt und nach Buchstaben freezt es dann und alle weiteren Buchstaben kommen dann paar Sekunden später erst. Außerdem öffnet sich immer der letzte Artikel/Tab beim Start der App, auch wenn man ihn eigentlich explizit geschlossen hat. Kann aber vielleicht auch einfach am Iphone 12 mini + IOS 18.7.2 liegen

Die Wikipedia-App ist klar strukturiert, schnell und sehr praktisch für unterwegs. Für mich eine praktische Möglichkeit, schnell verlässliche Informationen zu finden – egal zu welchem Thema. Es ist leicht, von einem Thema ins nächste zu springen Was vielleicht verbesserungswürdig wäre: Bei manchen Artikeln ist die Darstellung auf dem Smartphone etwas textlastig – eine Option für Lesemodi mit besserer Formatierung (z. B. größere Schrift, Zwischenüberschriften hervorheben) wäre hilfreich, besonders für lange Beiträge. Fazit: Eine verlässliche Wissensquelle – einfach, schnell und informativ.
Suche
Das Einzige, was mich nervt, das aber sehr, ist das Suchfeld. Es springt hin und her, sodass man ständig danach suchen muss. Kann es nicht einfach an einer Stelle bleiben?

So eine große Firma und schafft es noch nicht einmal etwas sinnvolles in „Neue Funktionen“ zu schreiben. Die App an sich ist recht gut.

Almost perfect
Everything works great except there is one bug. Once you search inside a page, all wiki links would stop working and act as coloured text breaking the navigation. Hope you will look into it.
Kein Captcha für die Anmeldung angezeigt
Theoretisch ist die Wikipedia-App mal ein geliebter, treuer Begleiter gewesen; welcher sicherlich auch 5 Sterne verdient hätte, wäre da nicht das neue Problem aufgetaucht, dass ich mich nicht mehr anmelden kann... Das ist für mein Erlebnis auf der Platform essenziell, um meine gespeicherten Artikel aufrufen zu können und überhaupt neue zu speichern – ohne diese Funktion macht Wikipedia für mich leider absolut keinen Spaß :( Um nochmal genauer darauf zurückzukommen, wo das Problem liegt: Beim Versuch mich anzumelden, bleibt das Captcha-Feld seit einigen Wochen, egal was ich versuche, leider leer – also wirklich blank... Ich bitte herzlichst um eine schnellstmögliche Behebung des Problems! Liebe Grüße x3
Tabs…gut gemeint
Schlecht gemacht...leider lassen sich nicht alle Tabs auf einmal schließen. Die App wird dadurch immer langsamer.

Issue with Wikipedia Navigation
Dear Developers, I've noticed a recurring issue with Wikipedia's navigation. Whenever I try to access a Wikipedia page through Google, the correct page does not load on the first attempt. Instead, the browser redirects to a previously visited page from my history. I would appreciate it if you could investigate and resolve this issue. Thank you for your attention to this.
Search has been made complicated
One of the most recent updates has killed the Search. Now it’s extremely complicated to just find the search at all. Also, I don’t understand how tabs are working because I choose one and the app seems to jump to another. Just start a new tab with the search and don’t mess with my open tabs and all is well again, though. Therefore, not more stars for now.

Leider hat die App mit dem letzten Update die lästige Mode übernommen, beim Start ungefragt Popups mit Hinweisen zu neuen Funktionen anzuzeigen, die die Nutzung behindern und mich zwingen, wahrheitswidrig auf „verstanden“ zu klicken, bevor ich die App nutzen kann.
Simply excellent
This review is about the app itself - I have to give praise to the developers and designers involved in its development. Excellent UX that presents a much evolved version of the browser experience with an easy to follow timeline based approach to the homescreen and very tightly integrated navigation. Pretty much everything you could ask for with regards to browsing the wiki is included: accessibility features, dark mode, lists, featured articles, top read, search, places and even a randomizer! And the UI is just icing on the cake. Very clean layout with great attention to details like the color gradient on the numbering and transitions between screens. If you’re a designer you can really tell the love and effort that went into such a polished app. As a designer myself I would place this to be one of my top apps and I certainly consider it a benchmark when it comes to good app design. I’m not sure if the devs ever read this, but bravo. 👏
AI version
Wikipedia is so good but in this era wiki should provide an AI version so that answers of those questions which would not need to be read the whole article that's time consuming.

Öffnet nicht
Auf iPad und iPhone seit längerer Zeit mit erheblichen Problemen beim Öffnen. Es sind immer wiederholte Programmstarts nötig weil die App einfriert.

Die App kriegt höchstens zwei Sterne. Nicht schön zu benutzen. Wikipedia an sich ist aber natürlich wunderbar!
This app is an awesome way to use Wikipedia
Wikipedia is already a blessing, one of the worlds largest source of information free of cost. And this app is a cherry on top over this addition. The UI is perfect, it has never crashed ever since I have been using it, and all bugs that were reported were promptly replied and fixed and even acknowledged by email by the app team.

Widget not refreshing
“On this day” widget doesn’t refresh its content. Works only when you open the app, which defies the purpose of the widget.

Die App ist eigentlich ganz gut und übersichtlich. Aber warum kann man keinen Artikel drucken? Das können andere Apps besser. Schade.
App is good but I prefer reading on Safari
Every time I click on a wiki link from safari, the links are redirected to the app and it’s very annoying after a while. While the design of the app is very good, it’s not a good user experience to forcefully open the app every time I want to read an article. Safari is far better.

Simplicity is everything
The app and interface is fine and minimalist. I would like to have content only related to my search feed or it would be helpful if there was a customisable display content. Everything is simply productive.
Text springt herum, macht scrollen mühsam
Die Funktionalität der App ist rudimentär, aber für Leser (ungleich Autoren) ausreichend und das, was sie kann, ist recht funktional gestaltet, aber der Text springt oftmals hin- und zurück, wenn man auf- und abwärtsscrollt, was das Lesen sehr behindert. Kein Vergleich zum bequemen Lesen auf dem PC im normalen Browser. Leider darum nur zwei Punkte, obwohl ich sie - mangels Alternative - trotzdem am Ipad nutze.
Basic app that lacks a few key features.
These features would greatly improve the experience for me. 1. Bring a functionality to read articles in several tabs. 2.Sometimes I just want to have a look at another article that is linked to the article that I am reading. When I tap the link it takes me to that article itself. It would a nice to have it open in a miniwindow first, then another tap to go that page. At least put it as an optional setting. 3.Bring a visual editor to the app. So, absence of these features reduces the usefulness of the app. It makes me think that I would be better off going to the website.
