Lacks discoverability
Ironically, users of this offline knowledge library are left needing a built-in ZIM help file to locate, access, navigate, and manage downloaded ZIM files. Until this changes, asking users to donate feels premature. Update in response to the developers question as to what difficulty do I face? The difficulties have been adequately described and are self-evident on iPad.
App Icon Not Adaptive
The static icon needs an update. It should adapt to user preference for Light Mode, Dark Mode, and Tinted. Please check out the Apple Developer best practices for icons when you get a chance.
Needs a Home Screen!
Please make it easier to view all downloaded libraries with a single tap
Help
I keep getting an SSL error when attempting to download from the catalogs. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Do i even have to explain why this is a 5 star?
This website literally allows you to download the entirety of human knowledge accumulated over decades and store it locally on your device. this has got to be hands-down. The most useful app of all time.

Great app; just having problems
Many of the ZIM files are stuck at 0% downloading and won’t download at all. The ZIM files of the wikimedia projects all have been working and are able to be downloaded, but other files like the XKCD comics, rationalwiki, and stanford encyclopedia of philosophy wouldn’t download at all. So yeah. I love this idea so much and it has been cool to use but I wish I could download those and hope it gets fixed soon.
Crashes
Great for downloading stuff but it keeps crashing anytime I try to search anything even with everything downloaded
许多中文词条都搜不着
以前的版本都能搜着，现在输入中文词条大多时候没有反应，是怎么回事呢？希望能尽快解决，谢谢。
Prepared
Disaster prep docs downloaded. Thank you!
Unworkable.
Everything takes two months to install. Just don't download it, for my sanity and yours.
New vs updated content?
In the Categories section, when browsing the “newest” content, please distinguish between content that has been added for the first time, vs content that has simply been updated! That would be super useful!
Seems incomplete
You can open a .zim and read the text. The interface is functional but it’s a frustrating experience and lacks some simple features that should be in any GUI. (I can’t even close a file without closing the app) Audio does not work for videos. I’d give it at least another star if this one bug was fixed.
Needs Option for Download Location
A good beginning, handy, but lacks preference for location of downloads which can be giant. Please give users a choice.
Get rich in the apocalypse
You’ll see some valuable hard drives filled w these in the future 😉
Broken
App is broken!! Won’t even open it’s own zim files!
Could be more polished, but amazing for what it is
Keep all of Wikipedia downloaded to your phone, for free, forever. Next to that proposition, my complaints about the interface (glitches, layout confusion, search functionality, etc.) seem like quibbles.
Dark Mode
Still no dark mode how hard could it be really!
Please add dark mode
My eyes hurt
Opino
GRACIAS
Deleted right after finishing
I just spent several hours downloading Wikipedia just for it to delete itself immediately after finishing
Good but not great
Love the format of what you can download and interface once you do download. Only gripe is I don’t have the same format options like on Wikipedia: adjust text size, change background between black and white, and adjust page width. I JUST REALLY LOVE DARK MODE FOR NIGHT READING!!!

Really nice
It’s a really nice way to have wikipedia with you at all times. The search is very quick and useful. It’s really useful to have, and easy to use. My only note is that there isn’t a lot of detail regarding specifications of downloads and their versions. For instance, I had to look up what Wikipedia 0.8 was. There is some basic information, like number of articles and type of details in the download, however.
Download manager has a huge bug
The Download Manager need to be fixed...take to an end and nothing happens...
100gb of download disappeared
Downloading full wikipedia archive for 109gb was very slow and took few days, on the last one I had 96% completed only to wake up for completely empty downloads on the next day. It just disappeared.
Very difficult for non-techies
I had to give up on a desktop version and tried this app. Yesterday I spent hours downloading a folder but there is nothing anywhere on my IPhone. A tutorial for us dummies would help.

Brilliant
Well worth the download times
Not as good as I'd hoped
When I first heard about this app, I had high hopes for it and imagined that I could have a library of files on my NAS which I could access from the app without filling up my iPad (the full Wikipedia is over 100GB). Despite my Mac not having the specifications to use the Kiwix app (requires macOS 12), I can install a browser extension (on Brave) which allows me full access to files stored on my Synology NAS but when I tried to use the Kiwix app on my iPad, it appeared to be downloading the whole file from the NAS to my iPad and apart from filling up my precious iPad space was going to take a long time doing it - I abandoned it but from the rolling numbers looked like a couple of hours at least. So, close but no cigar from me, Kiwix, sorry.
Don’t raed Wikipedia 2014
Don’t raed Wikipedia 2014 zim filea ( zimaa,zimab, zimac ...)
Great
Simple and effective interface. Great idea.
Hangs on launch
I was using this app successfully to browse the 50GB Wikipedia download. It was the best offline Wiki experience I've had. Then it crashed. I've been unable to get it working since, after trying several times. I really hope this can be fixed so I don't have to re-download the 50GB database!
Brilliant Resouce
Allows you to download a snapshot of Wikipedia and I mean over 5 million articles. I choose the 20gb version because I don't need pictures. Now I've got the ability to check anything I want wherever and whenever. I'd rate it 5 but the downloadable database is from December 2016. Still bloody good though.
Broken catalogue
There is no visible button to find the catalogue, the content I currently have from when you were able to download items is still there but I am unable to find the library to download content for the app.
Зависает на 75%
Кнопка «pause» не работает, можно только нажать на cancel, затем качать заново. Потом закачка снова останавливается на 70-75%(уже третий раз так)
