Way too many adds, I wanted to use black, it kept giving me pink. You have to watch more adds just to get another brush. Don't get this, I'm disappointed.

I used to always draw on this app, and today i am redownloading it. It is a great art app, even though I switched to IbisPaintX a while ago. If you are thinking about getting it for a beginner art app, do it! It’s easy to use.-AS

Good App, BUT…
I really like MediBang because it’s super easy to use, but for some reason it doesn’t save ANY of my artwork. If I try to view my gallery, the app either freezes or the gallery is empty, so if the app closes, unless I have a backup, I lose the art and can no longer edit it. It’s super frustrating, especially when it’s art for someone else. Is anyone else having this problem? I pay to have no ads and use whatever brushes I want, so idk why the gallery is completely broken.
Unsaved
It is not saving my work. It will only show recent works. However, after opening a new drawing or leaving the app untouched, all artworks disappears. It seems to be only a problem on iphone. As for my ipad everything seems to be working fine besides a few things I dislike. Like the brushes that used to be free is now locked behind a damm paywall. The timelapse is not even good to use. You might as well use ibis paint. I only loved Medibang because of the clean unclutter look. Also the brushes were all free to use. Back then there was no ads, but now it is flooded with subscriptions and ads. The timelapse is horrible because you have to split and merge every clip. Also you cannot delete clips which makes it harder to find the ones you want.

excessive ads ruin the user experience, i have to watch an ad for literally everything. saving, switching canvases, going off and on the app, its a banner above the canvas (in the way, less room), i have to watch an ad for brushes i already had before the update (that werent premium before), EVERYTHING. please just make it a singular ad when you open the app because this is ridiculous. other than that, great! :D

Why am I often unable to open it now? It takes a long time to load and I still can't access it.

it’s really easy and fun to use, but the ads keep interfering with everything. I accidentally went out of the app before saving, and for some reason it wouldn’t let me exit the ad. I had to restart the drawing because it didn’t save.

Whenever I create a new folder in my canvas and want to drag the layers below into the folder, strange things happen...I can't drag it into the folder at all!And the layer I want to drag into the folder will disappear when I drag it... Ads overload
Let users have access to their art without having to watch an ad first or make an account, it wasn’t like this before and is very annoying. Also exiting a piece to go work on another one also gives you a pop up ad : (
Works perfectly BUT
I’ve had this app for years now. I’ve never had a problem with it, but now the amount of adds this app plays is getting ridiculous. Every time I save the drawing I’m working on, it has to play an ad, and when I want to close the canvas I also have to watch an ad. I get that ads are what keep the app free, but this is just doing too much.

Great, Reliable Art Program!
I've been using this app since 2015 and it's always been reliable, no crazy updates that totally change the app! It has a good amount of tools and brush options that do what I need. I mostly use this app for illustration and digital painting, but sometimes I do photo editing. And I just have to say I'm very thankful the 3D touch support has remained a feature, it's invaluable for drawing and one of the main reasons I still have my old iPhone 8 Plus! If there was one feature I wish the app had, it would be gradient maps; but this by no means discourages me from using this app!
Once my go to, Now unusable
I used to use this app as my main illustrator. I use it to make announcement flyers for art weeks, to draw and illustrate, and quickly edit photos and memes. The uptick and ads has made this app unusable. Every time you save an image, ad. Every time you briefly close the app, ad. Want to use the brushes? First watch an ad to use it for three hours. Open a canvas? Ad. Close a canvas? Ad. The push for you to by premium by bombarding you with ads has made me stop using this app almost entirely. This is sad because this was THE best free art software, and now it’s worthless.

Can't scroll through all my layers
I try to scroll down through my layers but it stops at a random point and doesn't let me access them at all. Legit makes it unusuable after a certain amount of layers.

Among all the crazy-ness in the world, medibang does a normal software purchase to own without Ads or DLC, and one in-app DLC purchase to own on phones. It’s like Medibang is an uncommon voice of reason in the category of art software madness. Hopefully they don’t do what they did with the last mobile one, one in app, then rental later. That was mean. Otherwise, I like medibang, it’s nice software, performs as I expect it, and believes in both total layer lock and alpha layer lock.
No Longer Usable
Been using this app for almost 10 years. Updated it recently and now it's impossible to draw without an ad in your face. There is less room to draw because there is now an ad banner above your canvas, and when you leave the app to, for example, look at your reference picture, a full-screen ad will pop up. Free brushes from Medibang's library, which I saved to my device and have been using for YEARS, are now suddenly locked behind the subscription plan unless I want to "rent" them for an hour by watching an ad to unlock it. I was fine with the ads on the starting menu and in the gallery but this is too much. I can't continue using this app.
Buggy and laggy
When using/adding the fonts onto the canvas. It lags or it's buggy, like when typing or just moving the text to a speech bubble etc, it doesn't even feel all smooth-like
Ads Issue
I've started getting ads while saving my artwork, which isn't supposed to happen, and the ads at the top of the screen continuously interrupt my music/background videos and it's incredibly annoying. Please do something about this if possible.
It’s alright but could be better.
the app is great to me, I love the way it moves to me and the stability of it, but has a lot of downsides as well. For example, I just think it’s not compatible with phone users, since the screen is very small and it’s covered with the tools. IbisPaint would be better off if you want a more open space feel. The placement of the tools is also a bit confusing, since I had a hard time on the layers and speed paint mode. (FYI you need to manually do it). Also the ads each time make me go nuts, i get it it’s for the money (I think) but it’s still a pain 😅! overall the app has the potential to be better, and is probably more suited for iPad users instead of phone users.
Good, too many adds tho
It’s really helpful and it works really well! My only grievances are one; far too many adds that make it hard, and two; the ui is a bit confusing, so I struggled at first. Other than that, great app!
Crashing garbage
This app is useless! I used to love using it, but now it constantly crashes, it crashes while I’m drawing and then crashes when I try to get back into my art! And worst of all is the ads! I have to watch a stupid ad to get back into my art just for it to crash again
Awesome Drawing Tools!
At first I didn’t know how advanced it was, but you can do so many things on the app! The bucket tool and everything works great, love the pens! You can do so much! The one thing is that for the transform tool, you have to transform the whole thing instead of just one thing you selected. For selecting, I don’t know how it works yet, so it may work fine and I don’t know. All in all, this is great!
Every other update
I swear, it’s harder to defend this app every time they make a new update. Taking away the fonts is a HUGE downgrade.

Way too many ads, and I can’t even use the same brushes I’ve been using for years now because they’ve become a part of Medibang Pro. Just get Ibis Paint or Procreate at this point.
Some suggestions
I really love this app but I would like to recommend some additions to it, first off, I’d recommend adding the mirror feature, it would work very well and would help us a lot, an also you should make it to where we can measure the drawings that we put on the canvas, these additions would be great for the app. That’s all I gotta say

Buggy
Since the recent update, several features are broken. The hand tool no longer works, or at least it will work for a couple zoom in and outs, as well as I’m unable to use my fingers to move the canvas around after a few minutes of opening the canvas. As well as the main colour I’m using will display as transparent in the corner, so you never really know what colour your using unless drawing and hoping it’s what you need. Seems that no bugs were fixed, only added more. Really disappointed and hope this gets fixed ASAP.
Ads are unbearable
I’ve used this app for many years, and through every update it’s ad placement has become louder and more aggressively shoved down our throats to push a subscription. I understand it’s a free app and needs to make money, but it shouldn’t come at the expense of the user.
Reduce the ads already
When I first got this ap I only got an ad when starting it and exiting paint and I thought “this is ok”, then I started getting ads when I wanted to export/save my art and I was like “hmm a little annoying”, and NOW I get an ad almost every time I wanna save my progress on a piece and this app auto saves every so often so you could just be drawing and get an ad out of nowhere y have to click on not one but THREE Xs to get out of it. Do yourself a favor if you get this app and only use it on airplane mode so that way they can’t bother you with all the ads. Update: I don’t get interrupted anymore but now I get very inappropriate ads in my home screen with no way of reporting them. I don’t wanna be seeing anime high school girls wearing next to nothing in inappropriate positions anytime I wanna draw something. Update again: Now you can’t even skip or CLOSE ads! Anytime i get one i have to close and reopen the app entirely! Real great…
Too many ads
I can’t do anything without an ad pop up. Opening up the app 10 sec ad. Opening a canvas 10 second ad. Above my art a continuous playing ad. Exporting my art 10 second ad. Why not just make one long ad, why why why are they sprinkled on everything I do????
Great But Paywall
I like the app a lot, but it won’t let you reorganize the layers, something I find quite crucial, unless you pay. There are however many pros to this app, but if you could change the aforementioned paywall thing it could be even better!
Not impressed
I do not like it and I would definitely recommend Ibis Paint X because it has more options and is not as hard to understand the controls.

I love love love this app, i have been using it for years now and it’s super easy to learn with lots of great brushes! Recently there has been a huge uptake in ads tho which makes it hard to do anything, I find it takes all my motivation for drawing away because I have to wait for a minute to make a new canvas, open a canvas, close a canvas, and to use certain brushes (pretty much all the brushes I use). I would pay for premium but a subscription service just doesn’t seem worth it compared to a one time purchase like procreate that’s only 7$. I’m tempted to leave atp but I really want to stay, you should really think about ditching the subscription service and switch to one time purchases for the different levels of premium.
