I’m in love with this device. It’s the best examination, assessment tool I have ever used.
Surprisingly unhappy with this product
I purchased this stethoscope with some extra CME funds, and I was so excited to try it in my practice. To start with, as a pediatrician I was disappointed that they don’t have a stethoscope designed for smaller humans. That being said, I was still looking forward to trying the new stethoscope with the rhythm and murmur analysis. I tried it first on myself and it detected a fib. I repeated the exam multiple times with the same results. The following day I scheduled an appointment with the cardiologist who did an EKG which was normal. We followed that with a seven day Holter monitor, which was also normal. Ultimately this has cost over $1000 in medical bills unnecessarily. What it appears it was detecting was sinus arrhythmia. I understand that this device is not designed to be perfect but with my N of 1, it has been very imperfect. The cardiologist I saw had tried the stethoscope and was also not a fan. He stated that “it seems to present more questions than answers.” When I went to cancel my membership, the app made it impossible. When I finally got to the point where I was able to cancel I received an error message. I reached out to the support team via email and received a message that the wait times were longer than expected. I will now likely be charged for a full membership, which is ridiculous. I find it disappointing that this company has made it so difficult to cancel a membership. It seems that they want people to forget that they have a membership and leave it on auto renew. I am disappointed with the device, the customer service, and the app functionality. I would not recommend this product.
Great for mild hearing loss
There’s a bit of a learning curve for this old school nurse but worth it. With my mild hearing loss I was beginning to think I needed to hang up my stethoscope however the sound is so great I feel I can hear heart and lung sounds better than when I was in my prime.
Errors in Brazilian Portuguese translation
The Brazilian Portuguese translation of the app is terrible. For example, the word “patients” should be translated as “pacientes”, but it was translated as “doentes”, which means sick people.
Room for improvements
Reliably connects to the stethoscope, but the UI could use several improvements. 1) I’m unable to export more than one record at a time (I want to track heart rate results over time). 2) I should be able to view the heart rate result without opening the recording under the selected patient. Please add this to the recording summary. 3) Tachycardia threshold should adjust based on age. 4) would be nice to save results without subscription. 5) if I accidentally click done before assigning, it’s gone forever. 6) no ability to add manual entry for logging purposes. 7) no ability to start a recording from the selected patient. Must record from the listen tab then select the patient.

Erroneous charges!
DO NOT purchase this product and download the app! You will be billed $120 for a membership that you did not sign up for and you don’t need. There is no way to speak to a human on the customer service line. You can only email and they WILL NOT respond. Currently filing a report with the FTC for fraud. Stethoscope is packed and being returned. Super shady practice!!!!
Where’s the watch app
App works well. But, sometimes slow to connect to phone and having to look at iPhone while examining the patient is cumbersome. It would be great if there was a watch app.

Very basic without paid features, which are not great if you have spent becoming proficient in auscultation and ECG interpretation. Seems the latest updates also broke the app and the Eko device no longer connects. Customer service promised an update to fix this and claim this is now resolved however no update was released.

For a stethoscope that costs as much as it does, there’s no ability to even save a pdf of the ekg unless you pay $ monthly. This is poor.
Tolle Basis die optimiert werden kann
Es wäre top wenn die Wiedergabe vergrößert werden kann, insbesondere auf dem iPhone ist es sehr klein, eine einfache Zoom Möglichkeit wäre wünschenswert. Weiterhin finde ich den Bestätigungsbutton leider nicht im Menü „Position auswählen“ - ich muss die App neu starten und der Punkt wird nicht gespeichert.

Hyper aggressive subscription scheme
Expensive equipment then a required subscription to use basic features. They force you to use a two week trial which also will auto renew if you don't cancel it. Feedback: 1) give an option to connect the stethoscope directly to earbuds without the app 2) Don't force an auto-renew trial 3) Give an option for skipping the subscription fee with a one time payment
Crackling noise since last update
Since the last update of the app, there has been a crackling noise when placing the stethoscope, which fades after a few seconds but completely interferes with auscultation. I also noticed that the volume control for auscultation with earphones is no longer available.
Hearing aids
I have the recommended hearing aids but their instructions to listen through the hearing aids doesn’t make sense. The settings they are asking me to change on the iPhone don’t exist. They need to update their instructions for iPhone settings. Otherwise i cant get it to work.

I just got this today… but now reading all the reviews. Can’t lie has me nervous or scared that I may have paid for something that isn’t worth it. But I will be trying it today and see how it goes. *crossing fingers* that I’ll have a great experience like others have. 3 stars for now since I have to rate it. Keep it in the middle til my finale review.

App hounds you incessantly to upgrade for $120
At every corner every turn it asks you to upgrade. No option for it to stop asking. What a garbage dev team.
Still missing volume on speakers
Works great. But the speakers need a bit more volume for my patients to hear their heart.
It’s okay
I originally bought the Eko Littman stethoscope during the pandemic so I could better hear patients in a noisy environment. It worked great and I believed I could hear better. Fast forward a few years, I am now a private duty home health nurse. I compared sounds with the amplifier and without the amplifier, and I much prefer listening without the amplifier. Some sounds like heart murmurs are difficult to hear through the amplifier. And diminished breath sounds are amplified to where they sound normal if you don’t know your patient. I was not impressed with the “ecg” ability. It looks nothing like an actual ecg and is only useful for visualizing arrhythmias. I’ve gotten to where I just leave the amplifier off of my stethoscope because using the stethoscope with the amplifier attached and off mutes the sound. Would also like to add that the on button is very easy to accidentally turn on and drain the battery so I usually have to keep tape on the button so it stays off.
Funktioniert nicht auf dem iPhone 15
Ich habe mir das Stethoskop lithmann 3m Core Stethoskop geholt weil ich im medizinischen Bereich tätig bin und wollte das auch gerne im ambulanten Bereich benutzen. Auf meinem älteren iPad funktioniert es sehr gut und einwandfrei. Nur das habe ich nicht dabei. Auf meinem Handy findet die App das Stethoskop sogar sofort kann sich aber leider nicht damit verbinden… Bleibt nur hoffen und abwarten wann das Problem behoben wird

EKG NO WORKING
After update the EKG is not working!! Very bad and sad.
Updates have made app worse instead of better
Recent updates have removed the ability to boost the volume and now can only use your phone’s volume control but even turned up all the way it’s not loud enough. Almost returned it a couple months ago because the recordings couldn’t be heard but now with the latest update they removed the ability to save recordings altogether. I regret not returning it.
Tolle App für Schwerhörige
Eine wirklich tolle App die ihr da entwickelt hat. Für einen schwerhörigen ist das tolle Unterstützung. Was nur schade ist, dass die Wiedergabe der Töne manchmal zu leise ist. Wäre es möglich einen Regler in der App selber einzubauen, sodass die Lautstärke individuell eingestellt werden kann? Ich habe das Handy immer auf volle Lautstärke, um etwas zu hören. Wenn ich aber Musik oder Sonstiges auf voller Lautstärke höre, ist es mir sogar schon zu laut. Ich freue mich auf eure Rückmeldung! :)
Amazing!
I never write reviews, but this stethoscope blew me away and I decided to take the time to give my honest opinion. I got the purple one and the color is amazing. When I first unboxed it and used it, there was a learning curve, the placement is slightly different (I used the core prior to upgrading to the eko) and it’s a lot lighter than the core so that took some getting used to. When I’m in the ED, it’s a little cumbersome, but I detach the chest piece and pop in my earbuds (I use Bose ultra open, I hear everything around me and can still listen to the stethoscope) and use the chest piece independently. No dirty scope around the neck! Quality is amazing, it’s Littmann. AI detection of murmurs and abnormal rhythm is getting better everyday, it’s already really good, but a trained ear is needed to verify. Overall, this stethoscope has significantly improved my cardiac and pulmonary assessments. I would recommend this product for anyone that needs amazing cardiac and pulmonary assessments! They did a great job with this one & the battery lasts forever.
Useless
Pay $500.00 for the Eko core 5000 then you’ll need pay 100.00 per year to use it. I’m reselling mine and now use my Apple Watch instead. Hire a better marketing team that understands you’ll get more money by letting people do monthly.

My Eko Saved My Life
Out of the box and anxious to play with my new toy/work tool I downloaded the app and tried it out on myself. ER OR CVICU nurse don’t listen to themselves. They are to busy taking care of everyone else. So I did the cardiac exam and it said I was in atrial fibrillation. Huh I thought no way and kinda blew it off. I’ve always been healthy. Eventually, about a week later I told a colleague about my new stethoscope and that it said I was afib. Being slow at the moment we hooked me up to ECG 12 lead. I was in bikini with multiple PVC’s!!! Post heart echo and cath I’m on an anti arrhythmic medication. Thank you Eko for saving this nurses life. Riki Rudder, RN
Not compatible with Apple Watch
Would be nice to toggle modes. Cardiac, pulmonary, wide… from my Apple Watch instead of having to pull my phone out to do so.
No se escucha bien
Se graba en la aplicación pero no lo puedo reproducir en una bocina bluetooth; y dentro del teléfono (iPhone) apenas si se escucha, se escucha mejor en el estetoscopio de manera directa con el paciente

Useless scam
Absolutely useless. When I initially purchased the stethoscope basic features like recording or sharing were included. Physicians do not need AI analysis. They need to save a file. Now you can’t even assign a patient name. You can’t do anything without paying an additional 100+. This is a complete waste of money and I should have stuck with Littmann.

Useless without paid features
I was so excited about this but there comes the catch…100$ for paid features. I was going to buy one for my nephew who is a nurse and is going to medical school but I had to change my mind. The device is beautiful and has a very professional look but if you can’t use all the features it’s kinda like having a beautiful dress that doesn’t fit you. If at least we could pay it monthly… but you have to pay the whole yearly fee at once.
Need to pay to use basic features
I was able to save a few recordings before without paying. I don’t need any AI analysis or patient profiles, just want to be able to save a recording to listen to later which should be a basic feature. Have to pay for everything - would not recommend.
