Pretty good if you don’t have money but too many ads
I downloaded this app because I didn’t have enough money for procreate, and it’s free. You can do a surprisingly amount of stuff without buying a membership, but the adds get annoying. Literally when I try to do anything, the ads are there. If I close the app and come back, there's an ad. Wanna save the drawing? Ad. Getting ready to draw? Ad. Trying to open that time lapse? Uh oh, there’s an ad. Luckily, the ads don’t disrupt you while you are drawing, but if you try to do literally anything else there’s an ad you have to go through an annoying ad first. My advice? Just pay the twelve dollars for procreate.
Don’t understand it!
I tried this app out before but then deleted it because I couldn’t understand it, but then I redownloaded to give it another try but I couldn’t figure it out! I mean the tools some of them you have to watch an add for them but it doesn’t even let you watch an add and at the same time it want let me draw with two different colors like what the actual heck! This app is complicated and I prefer a different app then this if your not good will complicated stuff like this.🙁

It is ridiculous that you have to pay again for an updated version just because instead of an update now they call it a rename and it’s accessed on the as a separate download at full price. I had already paid $15 for this app and now I have to pay again to get the updated version separately.Adobe did this a few years ago with Photoshop and after pain for almost $20 they decided to go to a monthly version and disabled your app unless you pay the monthly fee. I swore I would never purchase anything from Adobe. When does the greed end?
Blend tool
This app is awesome for making manga and stuff and is a great free substitute for clip studio paint. The only thing I would really really really love is a blend tool because I’m using a lot of colors and a blend tool for shadows would be wonderful. I won’t give this 5 stars just so people can see it up front. I would just like to get through to devs. This is an awesome app and I will probably keep using it anyway. It just lost a star because it doesn’t have a blend tool.
Advertising ruined this app. I don’t mind watching ads but…
"I gave the MediBang Paint app a try on my iPad. It seems like a nice drawing application, but I'm unable to use it. Once an advertisement starts, it gets stuck on the screen and won't let me continue painting. I'm forced to close and restart the app, but as soon as another ad pops up, it freezes again. It has nice drawing features, but the app is useless because the ads ruin everything. So, I had to uninstall it.

Very good app, small downsides
As an artist who draws almost 24/7 I’d say medibang is quite good for a free art programme. I find drawing with the brushes and sketching easier than on other apps I’ve used. The only downside is the amount of ads that pop up so frequently. It’s really frustrating especially when working, I do understand it’s a free app and has to survive somehow I just wish the ads didn’t appear every 5 minutes. It’s also a shame the reference window is a premium feature since it’s a lot more difficult without it. I do enjoy that the app creates backups of your work and progress in case of anything happening. It has its ups and downs, I think for now I’ll stick to just using it for sketching since it’s difficult to make a full illustration with all the ads getting in the way.

First tip is spotting a lousy art tool is They make you watch ads to use basic tools second tip is when they’re selling advertising space to AI companies which are obviously going to scam you third you can’t even use the entire canvas cause you keep putting random features in the way
Good drawing app.. BUT,
At first i liked the interface, brushes, and many other things i liked, BUT, when i used my apple pencil to test the brushes out, it would NOT recognize my apple pencil touch at all, i tried fixing it, nothing worked, and they try to make you sign in for a membership cuz one time i wanted to draw KAITO on here, so i decided to try to use the reference window since i like using references, until they hit me with the membership paywall. And they always give you an ad for no reason. Overall, this is a good app, but has many glitches and problems.

Once. Is the key word. Before the need of internet to save your work. It is official! Being able to use the app when Wi-Fi is unavailable has ended! The days when the brushes that were free now need ads to be able to use it once! App now sucks so badly that it practically killed the fun of art!

Im a beginner at digital art and this app is decent! I find it to be VERY laggy on my ipad though! And every. Single. Time. When i try to close the canvas it gives me an add THREE TIMESS BEFORE IT LETS ME CLOSEE AAAAAAGGHHHH and when i import a picture it ecomes very low quality and terrible looking so dont recommend it for that AND the brushes are low quality also! They cant get the pigment of the color right until you make two passes when using the smallest setting! Ever since the newest update the quality skyrocketed! Downwards…my art on it was pretty nice till te update, im going to use a new art app from now on as this one has let me down, but it’s a free app, what did i expect?anyways my impression? Dont use it if you want quality over quantity ACTUALLY dont use it at all!

Scam Ads Nightmare
Absolutely awful with ads. Opening the app will throw fake "update" ads at you, trying to trick you into installing more malware. Avoid at all costs. This shouldn't even be allowed in the store.

i’ve used this app for quite a while but recently i haven’t been able to use the things in the library, which is quite annoying when i have no motivation to draw a base myself.
I can’t do anything
Every single time I do anything anywhere, I get an insanely long ad. I can’t even CLOSE my canvas after watching an ad to save it. It’s annoying.

The ads are a bit annoying, but I understand why they’re necessary. However, I would appreciate if the premium pop-up properly explained itself. I thought it meant the app itself, but it meant the use of premium brushes.

Disappointed
I’ve used MediBang paint for years, I’ve gotten used to the controls and it was nice to use. Unfortunately, the app has only gotten worse and it doesn’t look like it’s going to get better. The biggest issue is the huge onslaught of ads you get for just about anything. If you want to save, you get an ad, every time. It’s bad when some of these ads are scam ones. Another issue is the constant freezing that would happen to the canvas, you can’t rotate it, or move it side to side. Sometimes, the only way to fix it is to save, which would give you an ad, or to close the app altogether. Overall, I’m disappointed in how the app has gone downhill, and it may just be this version, and not desktop, but it’s not the same as it was before.

this is my favorite art app but you can't do anything without having to see an ad first. if you want to open the app? ad. you want to leave the app for a second? ad. i've gotten ads on top of ads before which is just so annoying. they aren't even the fast ones, but the ones where it makes you wait 5 seconds to click a button x3. i truly love this app and it's the one i'm most comfortable drawing on, but the ads everywhere genuinely ruin it and i just end up closing the program. not to mention the freezing that randomly happens. the ad on top of the canvas messes me up when i color because i cannot see fully with this big white block taking up quarter of my screen!!! you can't even exit it out fully!!! i hated when i realized it would be there forever unless i coughed up some money.

The best drawing app I’ve ever downloaded
When I first downloaded MediBang paint, I didn’t know it would be that good. Later, I realised that it had loads of filters and fun brushes(I use the drawing pen brush ) and that it had loads of manga and comic material which I often use for making comics. everything is LITERALLY awesome! ☺️☺️ I recommend to download it, it is best best best

Great app, use it all the time. But recently when I open the app it starts to freeze, and I have to close the app and reopen again. And sometimes it just up and crashes I enjoy using this so I do hope you can fix the problem soon

Predatory ads and monthly billing
I honestly think that medibang is an amazing art program, and I prefer it over procreate. But unfortunately instead of a one time payment, they opted for a monthly subscription model. I specifically chose brushes that were free, but after using it for a week they were paywalled and I was forced to watch ads to use the same brushes that were free just a few days prior. I sincerely hope they change this, but for now I’m going back to procreate.
Crashing Issue
I absolutely love this drawing app, I’ve used it for years and still love it to this day, but the crashing problem is getting incredibly ridiculous. How has it come to the point where it seems to crash every five minutes!? Could you guys please find a way to fix this issue?? It has been going on for an unreasonably long amount of time.
