V.O2: Running Coach reviews
4.9 out of 5, based on 10,132 reviews.
What people like
- Coach can easily customize plans and adapt to changes
- Group features help athletes support each other
- Coaches are supportive and responsive to questions
What they complain about
- Asks for a rating every time you open it
- You cannot edit synced workout data or fix errors
- Syncing with watches like Coros is often unreliable
- Moving workouts to a different week is very tedious
Great!
Love the app and layout of the splits! Fun to be able to interact with coach and add to the calendar.
Everytime I open the app it asks for a review
Writing this review so it will stop asking me to write a review
Good App
Everything about the app is great, except for the treadmill functionality. It would be even better if we could connect a heart rate monitor and add elevation gain/loss before selecting “Finish Workout.”
Needs serious update
The app syncs with Garmin automatically, which sounds convenient — until the data is wrong and you can’t fix it. Once a workout syncs, there’s no way to edit the distance or any other field. This is a serious issue for treadmill runs, where the watch distance is frequently inaccurate since there’s no GPS. For runners in hot climates, treadmill runs aren’t occasional — they’re a regular part of training, especially in summer. Locking in wrong mileage with no way to correct it makes the training log unreliable. A basic edit function for synced activities is needed.
Linking
Doesn’t link to Coros consistently or Coros app has flaws.
Great app!
Great!
Too many rating requests
Tired of the app asking me for a rating so I’m giving it 1 star. Please stop asking us to rate your app every time we open it!!!!
App correr
Buena
So hard to use
So if your coach assigns you a workout plan and you want to start a week later, there is no good way to move all the workouts. You have to move every. single. workout and every note in an 8-12 week period individually. It sucks. This app is not good. Also it doesn’t sync that well with major platforms.
Okay but struggles with Apple integration on several occasions
As above enough said

Fantastic
I am so satisfied with my coach Will Small and this training app. It is the best approach to running. I did the walk to run with Coach Will and he is fantastic. Always there for any questions and to cheer me along. It was definitely the right program for me.
Slow to adapt
Have used as a coach for 3 years. I haven’t been happy with it or the way they run the Facebook support group lately so have switched to a different program. Biggest strength is for those trained in vdot or familiar with it they can easily customize each athlete. Slow to adapt and a lot of weird bugs in app. I didn’t like how you would get email notifications only if an athlete commented on a workout but then couldn’t even click for a direct opening page in the app. Their cross training is also really behind others, for example cannot create premade cross training workouts in modalities like swim or cycle.
Five stars
Great app
Idiomas
Pago la anualidad , pero me cuesta demasiado entender el inglés . Necesito que pongan el idioma español
Updates
Enjoy the app as a way to log and plan training. Would give 5 stars if I could edit the start of the week to a Monday...
Worth it
Definitely raised my level significantly. I’ve run for years with a plan, but only mild improvement, 7 months with this app have raised me from and advanced beginner to a strong intermediate runner
Great app but…
Update ♾️: updated app, still asking for rating. Still one star. Once I know I can open the app without being prompted to rate, I’ll fix my rating. Until then, one star it remains. Forever rating 1 star until I know I won’t be prompted everytime I open the app. Update #2: stop asking me to rate the app every time I open it. I’ll continue rating it 1 start until the asks stop. Update: still getting these requests every time I open the app. I’ve already rated this app. Keep asking and I’ll keep giving one Star. One star because I don’t like the “are you enjoying this app” popping up every time I open the app.
Makes training easy
So good
Keeps crashing
Stop with improvements, focus on stability
Great coaching app
Love using this to coach my athletes! Very user friendly
Stop asking for a rating every time I open the app
It’s annoying
Proven Science with Flexibility
Built a program based on the Jack Daniel’s methodology while working around my schedule and interim races, and then adapted to events (like cancelled races) on the fly.
Complete Lack of Accessibility
It is impressive that an app that charges a $99.99 annual subscription in 2026 lacks even the most basic accessibility features such as closed captions for their videos. I guess the folks who make this app assume that people with broken ears can’t run either.
Great!
Great app for my running and coaching!
Ok but stop pestering me for feedback
Like using the app. Reason you’re getting a 1 instead of a 5 is the daily pop up to rate the app. I did that recently and still the popup appears. Leaving this review in the hope it stops!
Simple format and easy to use
A great app that my coach uses to put all my workouts in. The app was so easy to connect to my Coros account so that all the workouts from the app sync automatically with my watch. Easy to leave comments and love the new group feature! My coach made a group for all her athletes and we can support each other in the group.
Very confusing
The app is impossible to understand because everything is done in 1k increments instead of the actual distance run. It’s useless. Would not recommend.
