inaccurate delivery status
my order said that it had been delivered to me when it hadn’t, so i had to walk mid way to the shop to ask about my order when i got a call from the driver saying he had just arrived… 20 mins after my app says it had been delivered to me btw
Good deals awkward app
The app can be very unhelpful at telling you why something isn’t working, put a detail in wrong of your card it says the bank is having an issue. Pick something the store has run out of instead of just saying and offering to take it off the menu it will keep telling you that deal doesn’t work. When you get it to work though the deals are great once a month 50% off any pizza is great, once your done ordering it will normally offer something else with a small discount so I always leave my drink for then since I’m not picky about what I get. To improve the app, more clarity on issues would be great, have it take off anything we can’t get rather than make me guess. It storing my card details would also be a bonus since that’s a pain every time and I would really like an option to give my delivery driver a tip on app so when I don’t have money in the house I can still give him one. Overall would recommend the app and signing up for the extra rewards it is by far the best price for pizza in Scotland

So the app is fine it’s not really rocket science to order a pizza but a issue I have is the settings an your info as the number I put in isn’t working anymore and I can’t change which is pretty annoying

Forced to use it because they broke their own website
The app barely works either. A ridiculous counter-intuitive mess, put together by someone without a clue or - more likely - with AI. Barely functional. Gets my own address mixed up with the store’s, tracker says they’re making the pizza now even when it’s been ordered for 6 hours’ time, and who/whatever designed the method for adding and removing ingredients from a pizza needs to be shot. And nevermind the fact that it doesn’t tell you what’s ON the pizzas until you click on them as well. The app is hot garbage.
Frustrating
Just updated to the new app but when I get to the checkout page and try and pop in driver instructions the keypad pops up and doesn’t disappear again. This stops me from paying as it covers the ‘pay now’ button. The only way the keypad disappears is by coming out of the payment screen and going through the checkout process again but you can’t write any notes for the driver! I want to tell the driver to bring me a VAT Receipt. I thought I’d let Papa Johns know that there was this glitch but you can’t leave feedback and the store isn’t answering their phones. This review is the only way I can seem to leave feedback!
Smooth, fast app
By far the fastest and best pizza delivery app out of all the UK chains. Comes in handy when you’re hangry.
Update broke my account
Have used ‘sign in with apple’ to log into my account for years. After the last update this option was removed so I have now lost my account and all rewards. It was using an alias email which I obviously don’t remember.
Notifications Settings
The app itself works fine. The notifications settings however reset to fully on!! I only want order updates yet I get spammed with offers and other updates. I’m not interested in these and turn them off. Developers fix this until then I’m deleting the app.
Why no cheese options for sourdough pizza
It's absurd that people who re dairy free can't eat the sourdough option on the 'select your own' option when there are four options all greyed out. Sort it out!
Terrible glitchy app
Ordering is difficult, in app offers don’t pull through to checkout, tracker is terrible.
Wrong information
What’s the point of having an app that tracks delivery if it says your order has been delivered a good 5 minutes before the driver arrives? It’s just frustrating and unnecessary…

Try to order food, get a message saying “We’ve updated prices on one or more in your basket” no matter what payment method I choose

Ordered pizza and wing. Wing taste like they where boiled in water. Pizza not cooked enough. Never again.
Can't Customise Push Notifications Using VoiceOver
The app is fairly functional, though the website is not that much worse. However my gripe is that I can't use VoiceOver to customise the push notifications (Communication Preferences) because it uses some dreadful custom widgets for switches. Can you please test this with VoiceOver so I don't have to disable push and, arguably, the main reason to have the app? Every time I start it with push disabled I get an annoying nag about how terrible it is that push is off because I'd miss out on all your wonderful offers …

barely usable due to all the marketing faff, why would you place an unclosable animated ad on top of the menu ui that the user is trying to use to buy your food?!?! also refuses to work through a vpn for whatever reason. worst pizza app, shame, the pizza is ok

Terrible UI
There's only a small amount of space on a phone screen to look at items, you've decided to reduce that even further by putting huge banners over the bottom on the home pages and then on the deals area of the menu a huge animation for some dipper thing take up space and flashing up and down distracting and making it hard to focus on the menu items. Gave up trying and ordered from dominoes

What should someone do to check out if they don’t use PayPal, Apple Pay or find it extremely unwise to make internet payments direct from their bank? I can use a credit card or even Amazon Payments on the Papa Johns website but not the app. Why is this and will additional payment methods be included in the future? Currently the Apple app is unusable (for some)
