Our Killer App
Those of us who are old enough to remember the term “killer app” know it referred to an application that was so good, so necessary, that you would buy hardware just to have something to run the app on. Daylite is that for us. I’d buy a MacBook Air for every one of our employees simply so we could run Daylite & thus run the company. It is, without any doubt, my favorite software & the most important software for our company. Built exclusively & especially for Mac/iOS (and it shows), Daylite is easy to use, powerful where it should be so, & an incredible deal financially vs other “more well known” CRM solutions. It does everything we want it to do (and probably a good bit more) and just.plain.works. On the rare occasion that we’ve had a tech support issue, they have been fantastic - seriously: the best tech support we’ve ever received - enough so that I actually commented to a colleague; “ this guy actually cares” about my issue. As a founder/CEO of a company that is also an proud tech geek & an experienced CRM-junkie, I am happy to share that Daylite is THE BEST and I’m very thankful to have stumbled upon it ~ 15+ years ago. A+A+A+
Not worth it
Old and outdated, many bugs. Try and integrate with Outlook to link mail to contacts and you’ll see. Not worth the high price. Need desktop app to get the most of. And the desktop app is about 10 years outdated. Needs a complete overhaul and revamp. Developer has no interest in doing so from what I can tell.
lost its promise for me
Yes, DL has gptten too expensive for small-time users, and they are inflexible; I'd like a version with fewer demands on their system (could have less date, for example) but the ability to use the functionality of projects linked wiith contacts and to-dos. I have a ton of stuff in DL but am retired and no longer using it for business. I can cull it but there are still important data that are a huge loss if I have to abandon them. I have BEGGED and they are providing NO support for migrating out It also continues to demand more system resources and the latest OS; when I don't keep up eith the OS because it's fine for me otherwise, then DL becomes either very glitchy or non-functional. Two stars is generous for being abandoned at this point.
Runs so slow on phone or not at all
Been using DayLite for a long time and the phone version has become almost impossible to use. Either crashes or is so slow to respond and I have all systems up to date.
Sam L.
I’ve tried many different CRMs. This is hands down the best CRM for Apple and Mac products.
Terrible support
An application that promises to help you manage your customers and then uses nothing but AI bots for support doesn’t understand it’s own customers which what a CRM promises to do.
A good app, but with limited features
Beautiful and stylishly designed application. Just missing support for forms, as well as a very limited e-mail module. For example, there is no e-mail search function. It would be nice if when using the mobile application, there would be no need to return to the macbook because of the lack of functions that are available only on macOS.
Calendar syncing is spotty
Many times I’ve had a meeting that I accepted or set up using the Mac app, but the phone app doesn’t show it or give notifications for it until I manually open the app on my phone and sync it. Very annoying behavior.
Powerful, flexible, and glitchy
This app is an awesome blend of a calendar, CRM, task, and project management. Love the power and flexibility yet I find it stuttering and freezing as I navigate across different portions of the app. iPhone 16 Pro on latest build. If you could nail the basics of stability it would be 5 stars.
Total Tracking Solution
From tracking all forms of communication, appointments, opportunities that turn into projects, and all the associated tasks to ensure success. There is no better CRM than Daylite! As a full service audio, video and photography production house, Here at Gamut One Studios, Daylite is the complete relationship management tool!
Weak
Weak support, Too combersome, high learning curve, OMG - updates everyweek or twice a week, slows Apple Mail to a crawl, very sad indeed.
How long can this last?
The inability to upgrade iOS because of email functionality is affecting the ability to obtain Apple support or anything. This is unacceptable and unsustainable.
Expensive
While Daylite is full-featured, it has many problems. First, it is EXPENSIVE. $420 annually for the lowest tier is far too expensive for low volume users. Second, it crashes a lot. Third, its calendar and mail integrations are a bit twitchy. (Although when it works, mail integration is good) No support for Messages or other messaging platforms. Overwrote my address book card many times, causing system-wide auto fill issues. Also for the price, I expected better support. I ended my subscription today to test out more reasonably priced options for low volume users like myself.
Mail needs more features
It would be real helpful if you could search in mail.
Keeps my business organized
Really helps keep things from falling through the cracks, and in turn keeps my stress much lower!
App is crashing too frequently
I would not recommend purchasing Daylite until they fix the multiple crashing problem! Daylite used to be my go-to app, but it is now crashing all of the time. When I use my M1-iPad Pro, and attempt to open or update a Calendar information is when Daylite crashes. I have been in contact with Daylite Technical Support via countless email message. They give the same advice over-and-over. I follow their advice, and then send them an update of my suggestions. The app still crashes, and I am back on the countless email wheel again. I must have sent at least 40 or 50 email messages. Yet, nobody from MarketCircle has bothered to call me so this Calendar crashing can be fixed. There have been too many times when I have edited a Calendar item and Daylite crashes. Unfortunately, I have to wait a few minutes to re-enter the same information. That is a great pain, and lose of time for me to have to recreate the same information again.
It is slow
App has many good features but it is VERY slow on iOS. Getting a response from the app can take 10 to 20 seconds to do something simple like create an appointment or even to see the calendar. The desktop app crashes often. The Apple Mail integration is a great idea but it crashes Mail and Daylite everyday and bogs down Mail. Simply a very buggy app. Dumping the Mail plugin helps. This bug has been around for a very long time. It’s a chronic disease.
Good Product, Bad Version
Overall I enjoy Daylite and have used it for years. The iPad experience has not been great. There seem to be a lot of bugs and crashes related to the multi tasking features, and when Support confirmed them to me they simply said they didn’t know when they’d fix them.
Great product
Once I get everything straightened out it will be awesome.
Personal Use
Runs my life.
So Disappointed With Update
I was weary of spending so much on this application, but after a full three week trial period, I felt the CRM and eMail integration was worth the investment. A month later, Market Circle Updated the software and added a new window and a ton of CPU overhead to the processor. After going a couple rounds with tech support, the solution was presented as a new feature that I should be happy with. I wish I could get my money back...I feel horribly cheated!
This app....
This app has changed how i use all apps. It is bacoming my calendar, todo list, reminders, digital documents cabinet....and more unknow. This app its self is work the subscription and purchasing a Mac.
Crashing constantly
I’ve used this app since they first put it out. The latest version is crashing every time I open the app, or switch to it from a different app. Surprised as all earlier iterations have worked beautifully. The Mac version still functioning fine - just having problems with the iOS app. Hope they fix it soon.
CRM for Apple Ecosystem
Wanted a single CRM tool that is integrated with Apple ecosystem.l Daylite was recommended by ChatGPT as a CRM that integrates with Apple email, calendar, tasks and other tools, that works with my MacBook Air, iPad, and iPhone. Downloaded Daylite last night. It was pretty easy to set up, and integrate as I was looking for. Has some very nice features such as creating a contact, company, project, opportunities from email. Have a 2 week trail license and will work with it, but so far, I am liking this better than HubSpot or Zoho, and the monthly subscription is less than my current Zoho description. Zoho does not integrate as well as I would like it too. I hope this is a better solution. So far it looks like it will be what I am looking for. I hope this is helpful to other users looking for an Apple ecosystem CRM.
Impossible to login with Vision Pro
If I can’t even login to the app, what’s the point?
App slow to load content or hanging.
App is updated and keeps hanging. Slow to load content.
Best CRM - Adaptable and Dependable.
We’ve used this since 2011 and will never go anywhere else. It’s a sandbox that allows you to tweak or adapt to your workflows, etc. I LOVE THAT IT DOWNLOADS TO YOUR COMPUTER so you aren to vulnerable to internet or network disruptions. Tagging emails to files - super wonderful.
They claim compatibility with Vision Pro, but logging in is impossible
Title says it all
Great product
Not perfect but works well
It’s fine
It’s designed for sales more than other things. I’ve used various versions of Daylite for more than 10 years. I’m disappointed that some changes haven’t been made so it’s more useful to other industries. It seems reasonable to be able to set up lists of things to do for a project or event without having to manually change objectives or projects. Many things need to occur in some industries before the event, during and then afterwards and that is not easy with activity sets or pipelines. I’ve tried to get recommendations from support (who are very nice) but it’s more work than it should be. I’ve provided this feedback for so many years and am told they may make changes but they don’t. I end up using list type apps that can manage a project (tasks, rosters, and things to do -before -during -and after ) along with Daylite and that’s sort of silly when you have Daylite cloud. I’ve also tried to use this for other work Projects such as class. It’s just not user friendly and some tasks that should be easy to set up and use- aren’t. The best think is the mail integration (and the only reason I stuck with Daylite. The iPhone app crashes on my iPhone 6, 7 and now still my x. It’s frustrating. There are some great features but I suspect it works best for the sales industry and probably plenty of other groups
Satisfait depuis 2005
For what’s on the market
I find it’s the best
Crashes Mail
Installed on brand new M2 Mac Mini. Worked for a few hours, but upon restart - crashes apple mail as soon as it loads. Says it supports Sonoma OS14, but it does not. Daylite support said it was Apple's job to issue an update for Apple Mail, which is ridiculous. This is a promising app, but ultimately buggy and unfulfilled with lackluster support and documentaion. Don't waste your time here, you'd be better creating a native CRM with filemaker or using a canned commercial system on the web.
Cloud has not bought improvements.
14/11/2019 If you don’t live in Central American time zone no webinars as you don’t exist. Reports are lightweight only - you can’t tinker with them and as an experienced excel user this really frustrating. Have been using since 2013 and am constantly disappointed with this platform. They have moved to cloud so now we have to pay annually for no apparent gain except I don’t have to look after my server any more. Back up suppliers are few and don’t offer more than one webbinair a decade in Australia. I would not recommend any more. Pity as it had so much to offer. 29/3/2019 1-Used to be able to import from IOS and still cannot. When i try on my iPad the system wants finds the searched contact and when selected Daylite wants to add or make a totally random name which has nothing to do with the selected contact. Oh, and yes, I like to keep my contacts separate from Daylite. 2-Reports are pretty good by why can’t we just publish them to excel? Surely not that hard to achieve. 3-Still have not managed to change user email addresses and one user got locked out when upgrading because Daylite had used her iCloud address instead of her existing address and as her iCloud was switched off she could not access Daylite. 17/3/2019 : Just completed the cloud install after 6 years as a customer. Shocking. Awful! No list to guide you, system changes all the users email addresses and you have to reset all the passwords but no one tells you this until you find out for yourself. They even hide their software page. Saved by Google! For $27 a month per user it’s over the top. No new reports built in. No webinairs unless you live in Canadian time zone either. We are being taken for granted as users. Now looking for something else. DL now Showing all the signs of Now up to date and contact. How very sad! ————————— March 2018 : It is a good program but dear oh dear v 6 is a bit of a dog. Not ready for release yet but I am here so so be it. Nice people but no back up if you don’t live in North American time zone which is bummer. They won’t even say when they are open in users time zone. How easy would that be ? “We are open 9 to 5”. Yes, what relevance to me in Oz. Don’t even know or care if u r west or east coast!!! This is what killed Now up to date. Release too early.
Updatesnerven extrem
Good... but could go to Great
Good app. I am not aware of any CRM product that integrates into the Apple ecosystem as well. It has some weaknesses that prevent me from calling it great. The task management is a bit unrefined for GTD adherents. This is especially obvious when you are managing several hundred tasks. Also, it is best in class for email integration. The problem is that written digital communication has moved beyond to systems such as Slack, texts, social media, etc. (Even BusyContacts OSX could recall Apple message texts) It would also be helpful to initiate calls using various services from within the App. Syncing with other common platforms such as Exchange, Office 365 and Google is also a needed must. You can buy third party services to add some of this functionality, but the cost starts to dramatically go off of the planet. There’s also no community forum to exchange best practices and there is no open communication that I am aware of from the company on the road map for future features. Daylite is good, don’t get the wrong impression. It just could be great and rock the entire space.
Excellent
This is a high level CRM, project and opportunity management app with integrated email and excellent support made for professionals and their teams, and made for a Mac environment. I have used it for many years and it is my go-to app every day for organizing my work, my projects, classes, appointments, etc. It is simply excellent and the team that supports it does a fantastic job. Made by professionals for professionals. If you want something free or lower level, there are plenty of other options and this is not the app for you.
Crashes
I saw this app and it sounds like exactly what I needed. Unfortunately as soon as I try to add a person from my contacts it crashes. I have uninstalled and downloaded it three times. Shut down. Restarted. It just doesn't work. I am using Ventura 13.2
Great software, but I switched for larger fonts
I like my calendar and to do list to shout at me in big bold letters. Daylite didn't have a reasonable font size. I eventually switched. Suggest trying the demo on all of you devices to see if you can read the fonts - especially calendar on desktop.
Lacklustre (mediocre) CRM app
I would have hoped that by now they could produce a decent app that at least partially behaves like an iOS app, but while the feature set is deep, the UX has been given very little thought. The calendar doesn’t come up to par with Fantastical (or any other calendar app with natural language input), the Projects and Opportunities modules could be so much easier to navigate without having to CLICK 35 Times just to add or change info, there is no editing function in the Forms so they can’t be modified except on a desktop or laptop version of the software. I could go on for days. I’ve been a Daylite user since version 4.0, and this isn’t nearly what it should be. Apps designed by software engineers are good for...engineers, not end-users.
Seriously showing it’s age
Three cheers for Marketcircle. It’s tough making a living on pro iOS apps as evidenced by some high profile withdrawals from very long standing and well respected developers. Also MS is to be applauded for having a transparent business model that’s designed for longevity rather than high returns to VC’s via a sellout. However, that can’t disguise the fact that this app is showing its age and simply not taking advantage of the platform. It’s functionality is very limited as a cut down companion to the desktop app. As someone that has gone in all iOS it’s sad to see iOS and the iPad not being used to their full potential. I hope MS fundamentally rethinks their approach to this app and soon. I’m considering some other alternatives and this isn’t comparing well. I also hope that the platform owner keeps pushing the platform forward to give the developer more incentive to innovate.
Daylite app will not open on iPad or iPhone
Four weeks, I’ve been unable to open this app on my iPhone, or my iPad. I have several devices it doesn’t work for any. I can still use my MacBook, but I don’t travel with that. It is significantly hindering my productivity.
Slow. Crashes all the time.
If I wasn’t required to use this app I certainly it would not. It slows down my workflow tremendously. Forces closes on my device 89% of the time. The only thing it is useful for on mobile is the notifications. The functionality it provides when it works is wonderful.
WOW....
Marketcircle team has taken it to new heights... Guys, your new version of the app integrating email is fantastic. Really well done, I can finally write, read, add to daylite and delete emails while I am travelling without having to keep the emails in my inbox and wait til I get back to my office to then have to add them. Thanks
Standard reports are pretty much non existent
Seriously, a Sales Tool with no standard reports that you have become used to and have offered for 15+years, in Act, Goldmine etc. No way to share for Windows desktops, if you are in a mixed environment, which is the vast majority of business environments, not even a browser console for web access. Lots of work to make sure sales opportunities show up as they should. Its a nice try, but soon as someone like comes up with a cross platform client that support both Mac & PC, Daylite is dead. No call in support number, which means they have no respect for a business valuable time.I have been using the product for a few years, feed up, so killing off my corporate install as soon as possible. If you can produce data out of the system, it's in a PDF, so no one on the team can edit or collaborate on the content.
Great but needs,...
Great but the ability for users to create their own reports and also the ability to add sub tasks to the template pipelines would be fantastic
