Wonderful Contacts Replacement
I’ve been using Cardhop for several years now, and have never looked back. It’s beautifully crafted, and makes a more Apple-like app than Apple’s own Contacts. It also works with the same database. Open it for the first time and all of your contacts are right there. If you work with your contacts you should give it a go. There’s absolutely nothing to lose!
Deceased dates don’t display
Cardhop has a feature to display deceased dates for contacts along with birthdays and anniversaries. The birthday and anniversary features works but the deceased does not. They are aware but won’t fix it. Why have a feature that doesn’t work?
Excellent app missing one feature
I am a real fan of this app. It’s almost perfect lacking only one feature: the ability to chose the fields of a contact before sharing. This is really important as Cardhop is a gold mine of information and not all of it should be shared.
Card Scanning needs work
Need to use Fantastical integration with your calendar to make this app worthwhile. Unfortunately I found the business card scanning feature to be wanting and gave up after I was correcting more information scanned into the wrong field and adding additional files that were not detected.
Not much customization
I didn’t understand the random colors assigned to the initials icons. I’d like to be able to designate colors for different types of contacts or even different icons to choose from.
Great App Well Supported
I've used Cardhop since it was originally released. Is that over 10 years now? It has become such an integral part of my daily life that I would be very upset if it went away. The app is very well documented, has some extraordinarily advanced features that make adding contacts easier and their Customer Support support is no less than five star in terms of their responsiveness. It works, when it doesn't work, they make it work.

Pronouns
Add pronouns to Cardhop. It was added to contacts over a year ago and still isn’t on Cardhop
Used to be good, but a subscription wall for features is a bit too much
This app used to be good. Now, it is subscription based. Yes, you can probably use the free one, but that is like boarding a bus full of empty seats after purchasing a ticket , only to find that you have to pay for every millimeter of the seat you need to sit on.
Nice but ,,,
I used to enjoy this app, but it's no longer useful for me. Given the cost and the fact that I have just over a hundred contacts, it doesn’t meet my needs anymore. I’m considering switching to a native app since it provides the functions and cost that can not be beat for an address book. .
Constantly improving
Thrilled that a feature request of mine from 2 years ago just got released (comma between city & state in addresses)! The Cardhop team is constantly iterating and improving and I continue to prefer the experience over the native contacts app. Keep it up!

Simple and needs some upgrades
I only use this because I pay for the fantastical subscription so this is integrated/comes with it. I’d like to see a function where it’ll remind you to follow up with an individual (with the ability to “snooze”) or at least have it integrated with ToDoist like fantastical. Outside of the card scanner and a few interesting functions it’s the same as the contacts app in my phone. Lots of other apps have better functions, and better ways to personalize the e-card which I expect will come in future updates. There are better apps that I’ve used, I just don’t want to pay for the scanner features. I see lots of potential as I love my fantastical subscription.
Great contact organization app. Horrible card scanner.
This app is wonderful in integrating with Apple Contacts and making easy what Apple Contacts lacks—creating default contact entry templates, recoding a universal list of recent interactions, adding date and time stamps to notes, among others. And all this syncs seamlessly with Apple Contacts. The business card scanner is worthless, however, and not even worth trying. Out of about 10 attempts, only one card scan got basic information correct. In considering this, therefore, you also need to consider getting a separate business card scanner. Just watch out for very good scanner apps that have very poor privacy policies. Usually, the very best ones seriously compromise your privacy.
Fantastic Contacts Manager
Cardhop is an excellent contacts manager for iOS. I’m using it to manage contacts across iCloud and our own external servers. Thoughtful touches abound. I regularly appreciate the flexibility it gives in editing contact field names as well as the usual contact card edits. Recommended.

No adds
One thing I love about this app is that the free version has no ads,just limited features and I think that’s how every app should be. If you want more features, it becomes easier to pay for the premium version without worrying that an annoying ad will pop up somewhere.
pretty but
the app is pretty and thats about it … favorites could use a bigger contacts pictures . Also lame that card-hop is better designed then the ugly Apple address book . in the end its just a address book. nothing special here that warrants a subscription that almost cost like Disney + yearly subscription. we all want free money , but nope your App is just not that worthy !
Cannot add Lock Screen widgets some iOS 17
Existing widgets work fine. Any new widgets being added to a Home Screen fail to do what was set. Please fix asap please!

Why do I need this instead of iOS contacts? This app has gone the way of subscriptions just like Fantastical and is too costly for what it is. As a long time and original user, Flexibits ruined all their products years ago.
Great replacement for contacts app
Great replacement for contacts app only issue is when sharing a contact with an Android phone they can't open it. Have to use the apple contacts app to share when Android.
Expensive for what it gives
Contact management is a real pain as any hand-written address book will testify. The built-in Contacts app is OK, but I was looking for something with a bit more polish and function. I already use another brilliant app for CRM (Contacts Journal), but I wanted something that is my central contact management hub. Cardhop was being promoted and I thought I would give it a go. I have been with it for over a year now and it hasn’t really given me anything over the stock app. Integration is expensive (you have to buy the MacOS app separately), the subscription is extremely expensive, and what it gives in return is mediocre at best. Would I recommend this? Honestly, no. The subscription model simply sinks the app completely. Unless you use voice entry all the time, it gives you nothing over the stock app except another subscription that gives little in return.
Good but should have more features
When I hear about contacts app what comes first to my mind is to be able to easily manage the duplicate contacts and delete them or sort thorough the contacts easily to get rid of the unnecessary or old ones. I would be very glad if there features were to added to this app. Other than that it is a good app since you can use it for free if you already have a fantastical subscription.

Wasn’t Worth It
Thought the copy/paste thing where it filled out the info would be useful but the first new contact I tried to add updated a contact that was already there and I lost that info. Then the desktop app was $30 on top of the $7 I paid for this one. Stick to the Apple Contacts app.

This is a wonderful app that sinks with the regular Mac and iOS address book. It is great that the developers continue to support it on a regular basis.
Hippity-hop to the Cardhop trash
Absolutely terrible app that is a device syning nightmare, contacts mysteriously disappear, or are not saved completely. Its bad when youbare forced to use Apple’s contacts to enter people / organizations because they dissapear from Cardhop. Nice idea; very poorly executed. Subscription ended, app killed, app deleted forever! Same fate as Fantastical.
Better than the stock contacts app
I much prefer Cardhop over the stock app. A great enhancement would be methods to add a new contact from other apps, like via the share sheet in mail, rather than typing the info out. I find the copy/paste parser to be poor at mapping text to the appropriate fields.
Doesn’t work as described but beautiful app
Very nicely designed but doesn’t work as expected. I was under the impression I could cut and paste contact info from say an email or website into Cardhop and it would parse the text accordingly. I’ve tried several different formats of contact details from email, website and notes app and the result is muddled, with names and job titles split up, and addresses not being parsed at all as one would expect. Not worth .99 let alone another £4.00. Now deleted. Just doesn’t do it for me.
Meh. Not much more for me than Contacts app
I bought it, tried to like it, but after a few months of using it I deleted it because I found the stock Contacts app to be easier to use. There were no compelling features in CardHop for me. YMMV.
Much needed contact management app
How many times have you just wanted to copy name, address, phone and website details from someone’s email signature and add it to your contacts? Well you can with Cardhop. It amazes me that Apple has not yet built this function into the OS, especially with Apple Intelligence on-board. This app is a lifesaver. Give it a shot. You will love it.

It’s great. If you love Fantastical you’ll probably love this too. A few suggestions I submitted via Twitter were accepted for consideration by the developer. If those happen, this’ll be 5 star for sure.
Birthdays, really?
I wish the birthdays tab was used for something else. A simple "Connect again" date would even be more useful, allowing Cardhop to become a mini-CRM if you want to use it that way. But birthdays just aren’t important to a lot of people. Case in point: I only have one contact person's birthday in my contacts. They (a) don't really care about birthdays and (b) it'd probably be creepy of me to go out of my way to say happy birthday to them.

It would be nice if dialer is provided to dial new numbers and find the missed calls

Too expensive
I never got to use this app. It’s not something I need thus I could never justify paying that much money for it. Also, I found it not to be a friendly user app. It’s extremely complex. I decided it wasn’t worth taking the time to learn how to use it.
Just one more thing...
The app is heads & shoulders above the stock Contacts iOS app. Just one thing - adding a new contact from the start screen needs to be easier! Great app!
Groups!
How about adding group management to the quick action options? Also, how about giving us the options to customize the menu at the bottom so that I can replace the birthdays with groups that are useful to me? How about integration with fantastical?
Decent, not great
A very good app for managing contacts. Definitely beats the native app. I was really impressed with the ability to have a digital business card to share while networking, but the idea that someone needs to scan a qr code on your phone in order to get your business card... that's preposterous. The share button is right next to the business card! Why would I want a new professional contact to know my birthday, my mother-in-law's name and any notes I've added to my vcard. UPDATE: The app has now been updated so that when you hit the share button, it only shares the vcard information you have included in your business card. Very good. The QR code tech to share a digital business card... not very good.
