What people like
- Super simple to use quickly
- Cheap one-time payment, no subscription
- Works flawlessly for basic GIFs
What they complain about
- Updates broke features and cause crashes
- Ads interrupt you constantly
- Lost saved albums and editing tools
- Colors get muddy or flicker
Love this app! And I have for years!
And I’m so relieved the dev is still updating this 👌
Total rip off Support sends you to a dead X link
Reports to have AI features which you chose in a preview of the pro version but I bought that and none of them work
Source Material
The only thing wrong with this app is you can only pull source files from the iOS Photos app. It would be helpful if you could pull source files from the iOS Files app as well.
使いづらくなった
アップデート前に比べてgifビューアの画像抽出が使いづらくなった

Super simple but effective GIF Creation!!!
Awesome and simple creation of GIFs on iPhone and cheap at $2.99!!! Totally worth it and way better than the subscription service apps available!!!!
AI 🤢
I’ve loved this app for years but they have AI now, I can’t morally use it. Smh.
Fantastic! Missing one thing
This is the best gif making app I have found for iOS, however I would love the ability to selectively choose the frames myself so I can remove some in the middle of the selected range? Or bump up or down the range by one frame? More specific controls over this would be great. Overall though this is the winner for me!

Can’t edit range fix
The update messed up the in app range editor. You need to adjust the range in the iPhone photos app then turn the full video into a gif.
my main gif creator, but I have a request
This is my main gif creator, if not the only one … I just have two requests: (1) Can you make it so the text banner splits in two (one line and a second line) if the text goes beyond eleven words? (2) Can you make a separate “range” option, for text, so the text banner doesn’t show up on the gif until we want it to? Edit: With the new update and design, now there’s no text option… 😳
One at a time, really?
The whole point of paying for your app was the ability to select multiple photos, if it’s three or four clicking one at a time is fine now imagine that it’s 2000…. Please add swipe to select as many photos as you want at a time.
App keeps crashing after updates
This app used to work just fine. Then it got updated, and now it crashes every time I try to make a gif. Then they updated it again, and I was hoping that would fix the issue. Nope. Still crashes. The old adage goes “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”.
No more update
Now why would yall update this yall made it worse
Only Somewhat Usable
If you use the range tool the video footage becomes unviewable so you can no longer edit it. Then sometimes it won’t actually save the file when you’re done editing and you have to restart the app losing whatever work you’ve done. I love the interface and tools so I paid for the pro version but I have mixed feelings on it. Edit: I have been able to get it to work only for clips under three seconds I think. Otherwise it errors out if you use the range tool. Updated to three stars because I at least got it to work.
I love this app
This is such a great app so easy to use and worth every penny.
Problem ☹️
Hello, all the copies have been updated after version 7.8 and they did not work. I have the application automatically ﮼ And the colors within the application have become not like the version mentioned above. It contained more consistent colors than the recent versions. However, the application did not work on my device. I want to download the application with the version mentioned above, please
i looooove this app ! ; but, however …
gif toaster has been one of my go-to apps when making gifs because of how amazing it is with being able to do the things that i want it to, especially with me being someone that likes my things to look a certain way (aesthetics wise). HOWEVERRRRRR this isn’t a full 5 star review because of the most recent update. The new interface is so gorgeous and sleek, but i would rather the old version back because the above to make collages and to store your gifs in the in-app albums is gone !!!! its truly so sad bcs those were some of my most fav features about the app. i hope they bring at LEAST the collage feature back, because it was so useful when it came to me wanting to make cute graphics. :(

Beloved app was the best broken by update
Up until now this was such an amazing app that I’ve recommended to friends and family. I was exited to see the updated version which at first seemed really fantastic with some nice features. Only problem is it doesn’t work 😕 I hope it gets fixed soon. One could concern- I didn’t the looping options on the new version, which would be really disappointing - I hope the forward or reverse looping function doesn’t go away when you get this awesome app working again 🤞🏼
a
potentially my favorite app of all time
Don’t download
It literally doesn’t work. I thought maybe if I bought pro it would work and it doesn’t. Do not download literally can’t make a single gif.
Reliably awesome.
Some interface oddities for sure, but overall a fabulous, versatile & consistent piece of software.
Ugh
We had a good run — several years! But now littered with ads make the app frustrating to use. Not to mention, I couldn’t even download the image.
切り取り部分
このアプリを結構使っています。gifを作る際に切り取るところで音声付きでループ再生できるのですが突然音声が出なくなるバグ？が起きていて修正を入れていただきたい🙏
Love this app
After years downloaded again still let me restore my premium nice.
“start” does nothing
Often times, “start” does not do anything. description doesn’t clearly tell you what’s included in the free version. Full screen ads. Lame.
Great but please add custom collage (drag and drop)
plzzzzzz add custom gifs because therez no other way 2 make the picz i want u can even make it cost money bc i will buy that.
Somethings is broken
Used to work perfectly. Now, I can choose what to upload to the app, but then nothing is happening when I hit the arrow to save it, just a black screen (and the preview feature doesn’t work either- says I need to “select a preview method” whatever that is, it didn’t use to happen before).
ループの設定項目が欲しい
ループ再生しないよう設定したいが、その機能がない。
Movies to Gif
Quality videos, simple to use! Is my go to for this level of craftsmanship!
Broken do not buy
Paid to get rid of ads before I even tried to make a gif. Does not work, the final button does NOTHING. Total scam shouldn’t even be on the App Store.
Finally!
I tried over 10 apps that would allow me a simple method to make gifs. They were all so complicated. This one was the simplest. I ended up getting the Pro version to get all the options. 1.99 and now I can make gifs as fast as a teenager!
Prefer ImgPlay app
Bad interface, full page ads, no obvious option for video. ImgPlay is better.
原本サイズ使わせろ
場合によって原本サイズでgifれるときと4/3とか2/1以下からしかgifれない時があるのはなんで。 有料版があるとしても、原本サイズは使わせろよ。
Suggestions
Hello Toaster, I enjoy your app and would like to suggest somethings that would help tremendously. I'm a Hybrid content creator on Youtube and I use you app a lot and keep running into the same challenge. May I ask that could add a smooth button so that it won't look pixelated? Certain social medias only let you upload GIfS up 16 MB.
Worst update ever
Used to be a great app. Now, not so much.
Updates..
Great app/s I have them all could just do with some updates...it freezes after deleting a gif through the app, and just because we love updates :)
room 8
Well designed app unfortunately no more large size output possibility after last upgrade as incentive to buy pro. 'Will look for a different free app. Could benefit from option to numbering images, to create different order or use of same image more than once
課金しても1秒未満間隔に出来ません。
画像サイズをかなり小さくしてもむりでした。出来ないのなら、項目無くしてほしいかったなぁ。
WOW!!!
After trying other junkies. This app is Perfect for gif. edit and very easy to use.
Update ruined the app
All saved gif albums are gone because of a useless update that just made the app worse. Who thought this was a good idea???
Brings iPhone Live Photos to life
I've used it lots of times to convert my Live Photos into video clips. Easy to use and export. Ads are really short which makes them less annoying.
Can't find my gifs
I used to use this a lot so I know it worked, but I recently re-downloaded it but it doesn't recognise that I have any gifs?
As an artist: it works well but has some color issues
Pros: easy to use, has nice free features, can make large gifs, can string two gifs together into one, doesn’t have a limit to a gif frames Cons: I use this primarily for turning my pixel art into gifs, and I don’t like that it automatically opens into video conversion instead of photo conversion. But, most damning, I’ve noticed that the app can kind of muddle colors. It gets worse the more that’s happening in the gif & the more you run it through the program (ie make it into a gif, then adding it onto another gif). It’s not the most noticeable at first, but colors will flicker between layers. For example, it turned my pink into light pink, tan into beige. On one of the objects it merged my base color and shadow, making it appear completely unshaded. It only did these things every other frame, which looked like a sloppy error on my part, but I double checked my own art & it was totally fine. As an experiment, I ran the flickering piece through the app two more times. What should have been a single color throughout 12 frames became at least five different shades. As such I will probably not be able to use this app for making commissions, which is a shame, because I already paid for it. I will update my review if the issue is resolved.
Great value
Works flawlessly for GIFs
Range tool breaks the video
This used to be my favorite gif creator. Now all of a sudden the range tool completely breaks the video to the point I can’t keep editing or complete. Any assistance would be appreciated.
Works if you want to send through fb messenger
Wanted to make a gif out of a video I had. Seems to work well, after choosing the settings you want you can export to camera roll. The gif doesn't seem to play through the camera roll itself but once sent through messenger it plays like a gif should! Ideal!
It used to work
I loved this app but then it stopped working a few weeks ago because it doesn't let me view the gif's anymore. :( used to give it a 5* rating, as well
Very slow
Best app for the job, but it can take 20 minutes to produce a gif.
