- No annoying in-app purchase traps or fake options
What they complain about
- Ads get stuck and block the screen
- App crashes frequently during use or export
- Exported GIF quality is often grainy or low
- Text editing tools are buggy and hard to control
Great app
Was easy to download, and easy to use to make a gif from Video. My new hobby is making gifs of my family for fun!
Ads won’t close
It’s frustrating that you can’t close the ads even after you watch them. Please fix the glitch so the ad page isn’t stuck and you can’t do anything in the app.
My fave video-to-gif app
Makes good clear gifs, allows frame editing, gives me a good estimate of the output file size. The only nitpick I’d have is it doesn’t have a way to put text that I can have show up starting in specific frames. But otherwise, this is the gif maker I use most often.
Broken Ads
This was my go to gif maker for years, loved the versatility and how easy it was. Just watch a quick ad at the end and they give it to you. Except recently the ads are broken. The X to close it never pops up, or if it does you can’t click it and you’re stuck there. Waste of time every time.
Review
Slow loading pictures
Pretty goated for a few app
Yeah
Annoying and Clumsy
Ads, ads, ads, and yes … MORE ADS. Stay away.
it’s tea
it’s work on twitter
Disappointed
Would be perfect if all the videos I convert to gifs didn’t export at like 10fps
Used to work great but...
The option to create a link from the video to gif no longer works. Very disappointing.
Best GIF Maker.
App was extremely easy to navigate and use. It perfectly makes simple high-quality GIFs without any watermarks.
Does not work if you don’t pay
Does not work if you don’t pay. When you are done with editing and want to export/save the gif, you have an to watch an ad (which is standard for free apps), but you can’t go past it. So take a subscription, or find something else.
Love this app
I’ve used this app for years. It’s functional and reliable. There aren’t a ton of options but I prefer simplicity and it’s free!!! It doesn’t watermark your GIF. Either. You just have to watch an ad after you finish editing before you can save it but only one!!
Needs a lot of work!
The developers need to purchase iPhones and actually try to use their own app before distributing it to the public. Text doesn’t reposition smoothly, you have to “flick it” up or down 5 pixels at a time. If you swipe it too fast it closes the whole project and you have to start over. Only one sticker can be placed at a time. Text sizing doesn’t work. Theres a text box with handles that doesn’t enlarge the text and the text size slider only works 1 time out of 100. The text either grows way too large or super small. I’ve been using this app since the iPhone 8 and it still isn’t working right. Everything else is great so it gets 2 stars for what it does for well which is make videos into gifs
It’s good
Works well
heh.. my take in this
this was so DAMN HELPFUL for my discord server. thank you so much for getting inspiration to make this app
fix it
fix the glitch where theres a error on the “create URL” feature
cropping
i never knew cropping could be so hard
Can’t change text
This use to work but since the update the text edit (style, colour, size) function doesn’t work properly now. You can see it only behind the keyboard but there’s no way of accessing it if the keyboard is in front blocking it.
GREAT IDEA
this is a good program but it is far too sensitive and hard to control. Also it tends to crash in the middle of developing a GIF file -I have tried to update to the newest version for my iPhone SE two. The biggest problem is you cannot seem to erase the pictures you were selected to start again...
Free and Easy - PERIODT
Have had it for years. User friendly and a large variety of options.
unusable
wont stop crashing. worked for a single gif and then doesnt let u exit out of ads to finsih the process and just gets stuck there. crashes if u try to remove the ads by paying the fee
Very slow.
You think it’s locked up. But give it a few extra seconds
User unfriendly
Good product, but why can we reselect photo?
Hang
Really easy to use 👌
It’s great
No annoying watermarks. Kudos to the dev
Keeps crashing due to ads.
This app used to work great, but now it just keeps crashing when I watch an ad. Gotta find another app now. (Iphone 16 pro max / 1 TB)
Great app but has one issue
The app is really helpful when it comes to making a frame by frame animation but it lowers the resolution of the images when they’re 1080p or 1440p which is a turn off in my opinion even though I’ve been using it for a long time now so it just needs to have the resolution problem fixed then it will be the true best gif maker.
Was good…actually great…but….
Somethings not right since the latest update? 1. Slider video review has a delayed response (using iPad Pro) 2. What’s happened to the view rotator function…its disappeared?? Needs a new update…to fix the current update.
It’s Free
Very basic but it’s free. So one Balances the other.
Awesome!!
Great app!! Easy to use and works perfectly!!
Massive problem with ads.
Cannot restore my purchase for ad free experience. Cannot exit ads when I make my gif. Needs to be fixed, until then DO NOT USE THIS APP.
Works perfectly
Easy and quick to use with good options.
Keeps quitting
I know the app is free (with ads) but I am using it to make animated gifts for our online store. Until the store is actually turning a profit, in order to pay for things, I practice a lot of patience with free apps and ads. But! The app randomly quits or gets stuck on a blank screen (or paused ad) during the conversation stage, when I really need to get things done. The conversions themselves are fine and the ability to cut out extra useless space makes it easier to focus on the product, but the process becomes so slow and restarting the app consumes precious time.
Pretty bad
It keeps crashing when I use it
Impressive App full of nice features. Give it FIVE STARS
Definitely a must have App.
Impossible to use
The ads make the free version impossible to use. They block the screen with no way to bypass after the ad has played.
Needs higher quality
I see higher quality GIFs posted than I when I use this app for youtube reviews...
Not much
It won’t let me go to my photo album to select a photo
Good app
Good app, unfortunately the export quality isn’t very high
Works for me!
Is effective for making GIFs off of YouTube movies!
Naah. Frustration.
Cannot drag the text or emoji. Buggy.
Easy app and great instructions
Thanks for your work in this. I tried about 5 other gif makers and deleted them as they required opp-ins or only had limited functionality. This app was very straight forward to use.
Works, but poor quality
The quality of the gif became really bad after converting.
Not bad!
Easy to use, videos become very grainy when you do the final conversion.
Perfect for what it is.
I can’t believe this app is free! There is limited ad interruption. If you’re looking for something basic, this is it.
Was great
When exporting the ads don’t go away after they’re finished and you can’t X out either. Useless
Video to Gif
Super user-friendly. Lots of options, for media type to start from and output. No fake options asking for in app purchases.
Crashes
The app crashes whenever I tap Other if support GIF, and it doesn’t save my progress either. Crappy
Used to be a good app
You can make GIF's but not save them before sending them to Twitter and Insta. Annoying
