What people like
- One-time payment for lifetime use
- Very easy to set up
- Good for quick video to GIF conversion
What they complain about
- Black screens appear when editing
- GIF quality is often blurry
- Recent updates removed key features
- App crashes while saving files
Great tool for sharing video
A+

Very few features - no Timed Text
While it can create GIFs from a video, and you can add text to that GIF, the text will be displayed for the duration of the GIF. Would have been much better to allow the user to select when the text appears, and for how long. Pretty pointless otherwise.
Gifs turn black
When you add text to a gif it makes the whole image black.. please fix
Best one I could find
I was struggling to find a gif maker app that was free and this app does just that. Now of course they do keep their watermark on your gif and the gif that comes out is pretty high quality. If you don’t like that then they have an option to pay a $8.00 ONE TIME PAYMENT for unlimited gif creation as opposed to other apps which only give you the option for a monthly subscription. Definitely worth the money spent. ❤️✝️

It doesn’t let you crop or add text anymore. What happened? Please fix or I will cancel subscription.
Was a great app - now just a good one
Used to feature a number of functions which I gladly paid the price for - timed subtitles, boomerang, more filters that currently featured - but these were removed without warning on updates. Now, if you want a simple high quality gif rendering from your camera roll, it does the job. Fair enough.
Works well.
It has a good frame rate. But it is very hard on the phone to fine tune the start and stop frames for the gif.

Turns black when I try to edit
Eh, buggy but useable
Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.
Landscape Mode Needed
Cool app, albeit lacking features. One thing it desperately needs, though, is landscape display for iPad. Would use it a lot more if this simple feature was added.
Worth the $8
I’ve used the watermarked version of this app for years, but I finally figured I’d treat myself to the real deal, & honestly, for the $8, considering a lifetime of use… totally worth it.
Stupid gif
Its rated R
Quality of a gif
There is a free trial for this app. It’s easy and comfortable to use but …. The quality of gif after converting it is bad. There is no choice to choose a quality like in other apps. Creators should work on this)

Used to work great
Used to work great, no anytime you edit anything, the screen turns black. Paid $7 for this.
Came out blurry
Tried to make a gif but the image quality was terrible, everything else worked fine tho.
Used to work great now it won’t
Idk if it’s a Google docs thing or this app but every time I make a gif and email it to Google docs it always says unsupported file and never works anymore. I even paid for the premium subscription lol
Easy
This app is great. So easy to set up and costs so little.
Horrible just use what we already have to use for gifs
If you wanna create your own gift looks, you were different app. This app doesn’t even record a video. It literally just takes a picture of a black screen with its watermark. I don’t even get me started that it doesn’t even give you options to choose from it literally just takes from your photo gallery even if you don’t have a good photo, I would literally give it -5 stars if that was an option but you know you can’t.
It’s ok
Low quality gifs Big size, now it’s gets stuck saving Easy ui which is good to get it 2 stars
Useful but could be better
It’s a decent gif maker and makes empty fast, but the quality takes a pretty big dip without there being any choice to st least make it a higher quality, not to mention the annoying album saves that you can’t turn off meaning your photos app is cluttered with multiple one gif albums. You’d think there’d be more options with that $7 lifetime pass yknow?🤷♂️
This is the one
If you’re looking for a video to gif app. This is the one. 2500 reviews. Most people don’t bother writing reviews. If you want to get results quickly. Download. If you’re looking for a “perfect “ app, be reasonable.
Didn’t even work
I was just trying to make a funny gif but when it asked me for images and when I putted them in it just brought me to a black screen, even after it asking me to put more images it still brought me the same black screen. Don’t even bother downloading the app if you’re reading this.
Can’t add font
This app was great, but now you can’t add font to your gifs. Big let down..

🤷🏻♂️ 👎👎👎 🤡🔫
Can’t copy gifs or share
Making the GIF is easy, sharing the GIF is impossible. Saving the gift only ends with a steel image and sharing to Facebook messenger does the same.

Recent Update :(
I really loved this app and used it frequently for making gifs. However, this recent update has taken away a lot of the features that I really enjoyed, such as being able resize the gif, adding text, and having a myriad of filters to choose from. With these features gone, I have hard time imagining that I’ll be using this app much in the future, which is a shame because I really loved how easy it was to make high quality gifs.
Decent app
This app is good, but sadly it’s difficult to make good GIFs because it doesn’t give you any background ideas or anything like that. This app is NOT inappropriate at all so personally I think it’s good for all ages though 7-12 or something would probably enjoy it the most. I do recommend this app.
Broken app doesn’t work anymore
Used to work great although the editing was somewhat rudimentary. But now as of iOS 18.5 on a 14 Pro Max, if I let the video play through all of the way, it will only generate blank black boxes. I can add text, but then I have a blank black box with text. The only way I can get it to work is to quickly generate the GIF before the video plays all of the way through in the editor. Devs - please fix. I paid for this app!!!!
A gif maker that doesn't use pictures.
What??? Why??? I respect the amount of work put into converting video to gifs but why not individual pictures? Honestly rather annoyed..
Simple but effective
Simple but effective to use. Unfortunately it doesn’t save GIF’s with added text. Always results in an error :(
