There’s an ad every time I play that I can’t easily eliminate.
Terrible new graphics
It seems like the app went backwards in time. Seems like something I would’ve played in the 1990s. Hard to follow. Cards don’t look real. I am not enjoying this change at all.
Nice app
This is a great app to learn canasta but they have the worst support team I have ever encountered. It took me almost three months to do a password reset so I could use the app on my iPad in addition to my phone .each response to my emails was automated— and never addressed the issue. Very frustrating!

The bot sees your hand so the game is totally rigged!
Needs improvement
I really enjoy this game, but it is so ridiculous that I will get four fives and sixes from the deck repeatedly. Also, robot number two, my so-called partner, is a complete idiot. It’s like playing with the beginner. He doesn’t know how to discard.
Latest version 14.5
Loaded with bugs. Player can’t discard, differing views from the players on opponents hands, player can’t undo, voice goes away. Really no QC!
Obnoxious ads
The new version is almost unusable because of the full-screen ads that you can’t get rid of. Time to find a different canasta app.
Closing canastas
I have upgraded my canasta Junction. It will not let me close a canasta with the joker when there are six of the same cards please fix this bug.
Awful update!
Horrible colors, horrible robot icons (childish), difficult to see scores on the pop-up screen. I wish I could revert to previous version. I will not be renewing this subscription.
IF Only…
I’ve played Canasta for probably 50 years, which is to say, I understand the game. They changed some rules ( like role of black threes and a few others)…got it ! What I find unacceptable is there are too many errors of the score calculations on basic scoring …like # of canastas. This is a no brainer and very frustrating!

Issues
I love the game but I’ve encountered issues that were not mentioned. If I pick up a “3” on the last draw it does not allow me to add it to my other 3s. Also, my partner put down 6 “7s” knowing/assuming that I had one, which was correct. However, the “game” would not allow me to add the 7th 7 to the meld. Additionally, my partner melded Kings and when the hand was completed he had 3 more kings in his hand. I can understand “sand-bagging” by holding 2 kings in their hand in an attempt to finesse a king out of the opponents hand but the opponent already melded 2 kings & a wild card accounting for all the kings.
The Recent Update was a Downgrade
Been playing this game for a while and really don’t like the recent update. It went from looking like an adult game to a kiddie game with all the colors and oversized layout. Not sure if there were any hidden improvements but the view of the game is distracting, hard to read, and seems totally unnecessary.
Warning to users and Canasta Junction
Just get a phishing attempt after I finished a game and tried to start. It said hit continue and a fake Apple purchase showed up for me to approve or cancel with a fake number to call.

My Robot partners are super dumb, they’re less than beginner so no matter the effort you put into the game, they will mess it up big time without a doubt: next robot to them will always get the pack, you close and they have 3x7 and/Or 3xAces… If this is a way to get you pay for the membership, no thank you…
Love the game but the stupid partner
I love this game and the only thing that might hold me back from playing is the bot partner. I thought after the update they get better but now there are new issues. It gets rid of 7s when there is no need to, but keeps them even after I picked up the entire pile and it is apparent how many 7s I am holding on to. Or it runs out of cards without asking right after I picked up the pile and obviously have 5 sevens in my hand. It’s too annoying.
Ads in Canasta Junction are horrible
I love the game, but the ads go on forever, and forever, and forever. This has made it a very miserable experience. Plus the are very hard to close out beyond the time it should be.

Solitaire mode stinks
Again, your solitaire mode is biased towards the robot. Constant 7’s hands even though I have not discarded any 7’s. Opponents have all the 7s. Constant wild card canastas for the robot hand. Why bother to play if the robot constantly wins with these hands that they are dealt.

Buggy and the solitaire robots cheat.
Seriously, many times the starting meld required was 180 points and they only melded 160 and it was accepted. When they have an unfinished Aces hand, they’re never penalized. It’s ridiculous.
Things to know if you want to enjoy the game!
The ads keep getting longer and longer but it isn’t a big deal if you just close the game and then reopen it. The game does not keep a long term count of wins & losses. No problem unless you have no internet (think airplane and you won’t be able to open the game at all)…but I just pull out my book and read for 5 minutes, then go back to the game. Great game but things to be aware of that the programmers do to make the game harder: * Your bot partner will typically not hold on to 7’s but will have 2 Aces. And, it is programmed to ALWAYS drop a 7 after it melds. If you pick up the pack near the end, do not plan on your partner to have ANY 7’s. BUT, Bot 1 & 3 have been programmed to keep two 7’s! *You and your bot partner will be dealt opposite cards so pay attention to what your partner drops. * Your partner (BOT 2) is programmed to regularly holds 4, 5 and/or 6’s when you need 155 or 180 to meld, so it will quite often not have enough points to do a meld…you will have to. *Typically, you will draw a 7 or an Ace on the last draw or two. Big problem if you pick up the pile near the end and try to dump all of your 7’s & Aces, so be aware! All that said, I love this game and play it A LOT. Since I stopped watching the ads, the game has been much more enjoyable! STOP WATCHING THEIR ADS🤩

Extremely disappointing game
This game came recommended but don't know why! Card movement can be very difficult resulting in meld penalty points despite one's supposed proper discard. The game seems to be very unstable; very often someone is kicked out of the game and despite multiple re-entries and "catching up" the game can not be continued. I have been so frustrated when playing in a live game setting as well as with ACE. It was NOT a worthwhile expenditure as there doesn't seem to be any ongoing repairs and improvement to this app. I will certainly tell others not to waste their money on this app!

FIX YOUR SITE!!! Noticed members are leaving canasta junction because of all the problems. Harder to get a game because lack of people. Funny, I never see you post all the negative reviews. It really pathetic after all this time, this site can’t get their act together. When are you going to do something about all the issues? Like freezing all the time, not letting you put a card on the board, or close a canasta.

So many times when u look at your partners hand they could have laid down with perfect hands,doing nothing ! Too many errors, I,m not perfect but you should be better at this!

Don’t waste your money
We have been playing this game for 2 months almost every day. Recommended by owners of the app, we changed seeding every new game, which was supposed to correct the shuffling of the deck. Same problems exist. By the 2 or 3rd card drawn in the game, between 6 and 8 “3s” are drawn. Today, 3 hands in a row, were identical for 3 out of 4 players, including the next cards drawn for each of their turns. One player had the same special hand twice in a row with the same cards. Emailed owners of app about this continuing issue. They got their money, and they don’t care.
New update locked me out
Couldn’t upload latest update because iOS on my iPad is too old but now can’t play on prior version either. Useless app
Robots ignorance
I’ve been playing this for several years and liked it because of no ads. Now there’s ads! Yuck. Also the Robot players are stupidly not putting cards down when they could have made a canasta. Now a newer issue is the game won’t let me finish a canasta when there’s only 2-3 more cards. It says you can’t finish a canasta on your first meld!! What! It’s starting to get annoying . This has happened several times. Please correct these issues Also when I take a card from deck it doesn’t give me rest of cards. Annoying! Please fix these issues

Since the pandemic I have been using canasta junction. About a month ago, it stopped working in various locations. It’s impossible to get it to work. And I just tried to download the newest version and it won’t let me. So, please cancel my membership, as it’s not allowing me to play. Please credit me since I paid in full.thank you, Carolsully
Solitaire
I play the solitaire version everyday. The latest update has made playing very frustrating. It is ridiculous that my partner doesn’t meld with 7 or 8 wild cards in their hand. This has happened repeatedly since the update.

AI / solitaire play is very bad
I keep seeing the same criticism re the robot play in the solitaire game with no improvement. My partner will often pick the pack and get stuck with aces and sevens in hand when we were already winning. Wild card hands are played late in the game with no hope of winning with that hand. Other times my partner could have easily opened but neglected to do so. It is very frustrating!
Robot 2 is the worst player ever!
Can someone please reprogram robot 2? I read a developer response from January that you were working on the problems, but if anything, it’s been worse since the last update. I can count on 2 to give away the deck almost every hand, and sometimes more than once in the same hand. We just finished a hand without melding, while 2 had six wild cards totaling 180 points. We only needed 155! The other bots seem to have much better card sense. It’s very frustrating!!

Why not allow some to use the old version. My iPad isn’t able to download the this new one.
Update made it worse!
The app has been slow to open since the last update 3 weeks ago. And today it has simply refused to open! Please fix this bug!
Fix the bot partner!
My partner had 4 7s and 3 As on last play and threw a 7 resulting in two 1500 point penalties when it could have thrown an A and eliminated one of the penalties. On another round it held a joker on its last play when it could have completed a canasta with it and gone out. Another time it did not open even though it could have putting down 5 wilds. These are just a few examples of the many stupid moves the computer makes that even the most green canasta player would not. It makes for a very frustrating game. I have also seen situations where they don’t calculate the card count accurately. This game needs some serious fixes.
