I like this very customizable game
I absolutely love this customizable game of Canasta. Because you can customize it, you can play mini versions of Canasta. The online experience is really good. I think I would recommend this game.
Developer is rude game is stupid
I mentioned the bot cheats by counting cards. Developer responds by insulting me but I’m a champion canasta player. I still beat the bot 90% of the time on level 5. Of course I know better players remember cards. Developer is just trying to defend that they cannot develop a truly competitive game. Amateurs
Observations
I downloaded this to re-familiarize myself with the game (4 player). It has accomplished that for me while being mostly fun to play. Recently I started doing post hand forensics on the computer partners hand and discovered that many times the computer partner hand is holding cards that would fill red canastas but were not played (most recently I had melded 5 of a particular card, the computer partner’s turn came and went without playing 2of the other 3 cards in its hand for a red canasta). This unfortunately is disappointing as it confirms frustrating illogical play on the computer partner’s hand.
Rigged
This game feels rigged. They dish out low number cards and lets the computer pull every time to stack up points to go out! Rather play it in real life!
Inconsistent scoring
Would give 5 stars if the scoring metric was explained, seems no rhyme or reason why some wins you’ll get 0.47 and some you’ll get 1.16. Yet every loss is a solid -1

Watch out for extreme political views and unfair banning
I love to play Canasta, but there is a major problem with this app. When you play the game, you often encounter sadistic players who try to force you to leave by purposefully not playing their cards, calling you names, and deciding to do this for no reason whatsoever, or because you unintentionally gave the pile away. If you complain to the developer, they will not do anything about it. They will claim that they can’t read or see the photos you send them as proof. They allow people to call others all kinds of awful things as long as they don’t use the words on their short list of curse words. They might ban you for being “rude” without being specific as to why they banned you or for how long. The game is full of conservative propaganda robots, and it’s clear that someone is paying the developer a lot of money to have their conservative agenda pushed on the app chat. So, you don’t even know if you have been banned for political reasons because you responded to one of the conservative bots in a way that the conservative client doesn’t approve. Stay away from this game app.

In like, not love…yet
I’m relatively new to the game, so keep that in mind when viewing my feedback. I love a lot about this app: the speed of play; can view the cards the other players were holding at end of round; can refuse partner going out if you have a play you want to make. BUT…I agree, an option to ask my “partner” if I can go out - and have it refuse if strategically wise - would be great. Also, I’ve noticed some odd discards that no human would do…like when that card would make a canasta and there are others they could have discarded. (Here’s where my inexperience might show?) I’m gonna keep playing this app…I think a couple more dates, and I might even introduce it to my parents lol. Highly recommend!

Of all the games I’ve played and I’ve played 10 million of them. This one is the most fun I’ve ever had.
Can’t change picking up pile rule
Not sure what Canasta rule that is, however it is super frustrating that a player can pick up the pile just because the display card matches a card of one of their melds. I am used to playing Canasta where it requires two of the same cards to pick up the pile, meld or not. And you cannot change this rule. Super frustrating, uninstalling this.
Good but missing one vital element
Great game but where is the ability to save a game between two friends? If we're not able to finish a game then there seems to be no option to save it so we can continue later. Am I missing something or could this please be added?

'Good game
I’ve always liked Canasta and one version in particular which is a two player game, requiring 2 canastas to go out and collecting 2 cards at a time. This adds a great element of risk when you have won the pot as your opponent could still suddenly go out leaving you with a lot of points in your hand. This one of the few apps that include that feature.
Cheats
Has to cheat to win. Since the latest update you will not be dealt a wildcard as soon as your score is over 3000. Watch the opposition get 2000+ points once you are over 3000.
Canasta on line
We have been playing this during Covid lockdown with 2 couples we usually play Canasta with. We all have found it a great app. Because of the auto shuffle, dealing and counting, rubbers are completed quite fast. We’ve managed 3 rubbers in an evening. Normally we couldn’t finish two. We always turn off the Turn Timer option as it auto plays your hand if you are not quick enough. You can also vary some rules. It’s been a great substitute whilst we have to stay in our homes. We leave a another phone switched on between our houses so we can simulate our usual social chat whilst playing.
Fun and definitely enjoy
This game reminds me a lot of my family growing up. We all stayed up late and bonded over this game. Can sit and play this game all day. 100% recommend
To much Politics
I loved this app for awhile, but the politics ruin it for me. Nothing is ever done about it. It’s sad we can’t have a game without the politics and drama.
Best with friends
I'm always looking for the best Canasta app to play online with family and friends that is FREE and easy for everyone. After trying so many different apps to find the perfect one, ill say this one is imperfectly perfect. You can create games with people you actually know, and can message through the app during game play. Some day i would like to see more options for game play modification such as; more cards picked up, # of jokers in melds, # of canastas needs to go out, etc. I would also like to see other versions of Canasta available to play in this app. The best thing about this is the online multiplayer game play with live chat, hands down.
Frustrating
90% of the time I go out and my “partner “ hasn’t laid any cards down. I don’t understand what the point of that is. I did find a better app so I am deleting this one, but maybe something to fix for the future?!
Not bad
It has a straightforward, unfussy layout and is speedy. I should think it works well when playing with friends online. However, it’s not much fun to play against the computer because my partner holds on to cards instead of playing them. When it can, it goes out, playing many melds at one go. This means we either win or lose spectacularly but it’s left me with nothing to play for most of the game if I’m only holding a few cards. It can be a valid tactic but it’s the only way the partner plays and that feels a bit boring.

The app is a well worked app and is great for canasta lovers. However, when playing with (or against the computer) I always feel as if the game stitches you right up!😂 my partner has frequently lost me games and as a competitive person this is far from ideal! Nevertheless, the game is very fun and fills time brilliantly, however frustrating it may be!

This company makes the best card games.
I own a few games from this developer; they are all excellent. In this canasta version it’s all about customization. Personally, I wanted to slow it way down so I could see what others were doing so, learning how to play myself. I purchased another version just because I liked the board layout, but that bombardes you with a huge "buy more of my games" that you have to sit through. No option to remove it, plus, it’s sadly lacking in options. Look no further than this game.
I hate the computer
The computer partner plays an irritating game, they never play their cards to give you something to build on. They hoard cards so they can go out. I’m often hanging onto 1 card for several rounds because we don’t have a canasta and they won’t play a single card until they are able to go out. Not fun for me and it allows the other team to play sooooo many cards.

My Robot partner wasn’t a good team player, he held too many playable cards in his hand. If he had laid them down more often I could have played some of my cards and we would have had a higher score. His style of play was more suited to playing without a partner. However I do enjoy playing the game, especially when playing with my friends - an amazing piece of software and programming.

I totally agree with the lady that said that the partner is terrible. You feel like you are playing by yourself as the partner does not lay his or her cards down until the cards are almost all gone. I love the layout of the game but the partner makes it very stressfull. Can’t you do something about this problem please. Thanks for your time
Hoards
The partner hoards the cards even though I have only 2 cards. When I go the partner has 6 fives, 5 jacks & 5 nines. Get it right guys. Deleted the app.
Frustrated playing with partner
I love playing canasta and this is a very good game when playing with two people. However when playing with four people my partner plays the same way as when playing with two. It doesn’t recognise that there is another person on the team. For example my partner could easily be holding 5 or 6 cards of the same number not even thinking I may be holding the same cards. Often the “ partner” is caught with cards that should have been put down. Frustrating!
