I have not played canasta for years but this game is helping me get back in the game.
New interface is not cool
I played this game since day one, but the new interface sucks i deleted the app very disappointing
Canasta flaw
A major flaw is that the players continue to discard a card that will give the next player a canasta. Another flaw is that the player following such a stupid move often does not pick up that pile. This would never happen in real life games.
Aaaahhhhh
Every time that your partner should pick up, they don’t, and then they discard a card your opponents need, giving them the cards you needed as well as the points they needed. Super frustrating waste of time.
Good, but not great
Good game, but my partner doesn’t always pick up a card that would have given us a canasta. Also, sometimes my partner will go out without asking me. It also doesn’t seem right that I win 90% of the games. I do like the board.

I really enjoy this because I am challenged to make decisions that involve higher-level thinking. I don’t automatically win ever, yet I don’t feel like I’m struggling. This game really holds my interest,
Crazy
This Canasta is a cheating game. It doesn’t even play by the rules it states in the game. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
There are two things that I love
I’ve tried several Canasta apps. This one by far has the best board. I like that you can pick how many cards you want dealt (well that is up until it’s time to buy the app. If you chose not to buy it, you’re stuck with 11 cards dealt out forever) I love that I am not bombarded with ads, too. That probably makes it the most appealing. I do not like that you get to pick up the whole deck without melding your full requirement first. We also have always played that once a Canasta is made it becomes a dead card. (Treated like a black 3 unless you have two in your hand) My partner isn’t the sharpest, but I have played with real humans that are worse. So I have actually enjoyed this app. I’ve played continually for days. It’s great on an iPad.
Been playing over 60yrs
I’m dumping this program. When I lose 3x in a row to bots or players that only draw 5 times, something is very wrong with the game. Program. The odds of this happening are 5000:1 in real life. Fix the problem.
Game is programmed to Favor the Opponent.
Opponent Favoritism. Cards Favor the Opponent with lots of red 3’s, Ends match before all cards are played when you are winning, cards are stacked.

The developer is a very fiendish sadist
This is a very good game except as a single player your partner is the dumbest canasta player in the universe and it makes it more frustrating than pleasurable over 50% of the time. I did just discover that you can pay $$ to presumably upgrade the skill of your partner. IDK what to think about that.
Partner does not cooperate
Why does the partner pick the pack? But will throw a card that the opponent picks the pack? Also it closes the game without asking the partner or if partner says no it still closes the game.

Partner does not pick up from discharge pile when needed and throws competition cards they need to go out when partner has many cards to choose from.
Great Canasta Game
Responsive and like playing a person. Much better than the other Canasta game I had tried before finding this one. Programmers deserve a pat on the back (or a raise).
Spielschwach und komische Regeln
Eigentlich ist die schwarze 3 eine Sperrkarte - hier nicht. Auch darf eigentlich keine Erstauslage mit zwei Karten plus Joker erfolgen - es sind mindestens drei gleiche Karten erforderlich plus ggf. Joker. Außerdem ist der Gegner beim Zweierspiel derart spielschwach, dass man ihn meistens locker besiegt.
Horrible game do not download
This game is nothing like real canasta. You can only use melds of the same card instead of sequences of cards. The sound effects are really annoying and even if you mute your device they still play. The gameplay is really easy, even a baby could understand it canasta is supposed to be a complicated and competitive game.

I enjoy playing this game and it is smooth and easy to use.
Partner plays for other team
This used to be my favorite canasta game. This latest version has me looking for others. My “partner” the vast majority the time plays a card that has the opponent picking up the deck. The logic in the program is not as good as it used to be. I’ll come back occasionally to see if an upgrade has corrected the issue.

Bad partner player
I see the partner playing against me, he never be the reason for winning, most of the times he gave the other against us what cards they needs and not picking up the very important cards to us 🤔other wise it’s very good game, just fix the partner way how to play.

Rigged to see you fail
This game goes out of the way to make you fail. If you are playing a game with a partner, the partner will not only be the dumbest player, they will go out of their way to sabotage you. they will discard something the other team needs for a canasta when they have many other discards. They will not go out when the opposing team can only continue to make canastas. They will throw away a wild card with 2 cards left in their hand. It is blatantly obvious that all the other players know what cards are in your hand. It’s pretty shameful that they have rigged it this way. I’ve even tried to use the diamonds to set player levels. Doesn’t make one bit of difference. The opponents go from dumb at first, to the most intense player you have ever played with in record time. Just make it fair to play. Don’t screw the players over.
Game ok
I think I am teaching this game how to play. It’s fun but you need an option to change out your partner. Sometimes it’s smart and plays well. Other times it’s ridiculously erroneous. The thing makes the worst moves no one would do that’s a player. Any tips from the developer would be great. I think you need to update this app. Otherwise it’s fun, just frustrating. Developers we should be able to see the partners hand when going out please move the curser

Lacks common Canasta sense
Wondering if the makers of this came played much Canasta. Other players would not make the ignorant simple mistakes for the other 3 players this game constantly makes.
Fun but one rule is wrong
In a two player game, the rules state you start with 15 cards each, not 11. 2 players is 15 cards. 3 players is 13 cards, and 4 players is 11 cards.
Strongly stacked for opponents
Fast game, appreciate the choices to you can make before the beginning of the game, ie. # of cards dealt, opponents skill level, partners skill level..etc. Opponents always get more wild cards than the person who paid the money for the game. Makes it frustrating for the user. Maybe the developers can incorporate chance like a true 4 person card game.

We are enjoying this game. But we cannot figure out how to ask our partner if we can go out. Can you help with this?
Poor update
Latest update has ruined the game as partner now makes too many errors ie going out when in control of a hand, missing pick ups for canastas, giving away the pack by poor card choices etc. Not worth playing now, please reset.
Different rules
The opponents play by different rules they pick up the deck with no cards in there hand where you have to have the card. It’s quite obvious.
Great card game
This version is so easy to play. It doesn’t need an internet connection. No signal I can still pass time away playing Canasta!
Stupid
This game is fixed for your Ali to win when the game would be won by me. You give that asswipe the benefit of the red threes. You make the game un enjoyable to lose when your ahead and you give the ai the wilds and the red threes. This is not a fair game. I hate it

Love the game. Played as a child with my family. It was easy to pick up the game again. I’m really enjoying it!
Restrictions in latest update
Having played this for some time, it was really disappointing to see that the latest update restricts your game options unless you pay for them. The payment is in tokens which, presumably, you can earn extremely slowly in free play, or pay for them. Furthermore, they have added other games which I never wanted, which takes up more storage and requires bigger updates. I understand that they want to make more money from this app, but there are other Canasta apps out there which don't restrict your options or force you to download games you don't want. It's a real shame, but I am deleting this Canasta app and downloading a different one.
Good game - Better than the rest!
The only reason I gave it three stars is that it is geared to have you win 95% of the time. I like beating the computer but the free version can be made more challenging. Make it a bit more tougher to win.

More and more flaws
I’d really like to see a response to these posted reviews. A partner who uses a wild card to put down a couple of Jacks while a 6 card run could be made into a canasta. All the critiques I’ve read I’ve been frustrated by. This game has been enjoyable for years, but it’s not anymore. Developers, knock knock. Anyone care?
Great game
Really like this game other than there does not seem to be a spot to ask partner to go out. My partner asks, but I have no spot to ask. (And yes, the option is set to “on”)
Find another Canasta app and leave this one alone
Badly designed rules and algorithms this is nothing more than a game of chance. Take it in turns who gets the best cards. After a while it just gets booring, there is no skill, no decisions just draw cards and hope. The only up side is at least they didn’t charge - that would be insulting
Flawed
Even in the hardest level it can easily be beaten. Not because I’m so good but because it’s flawed. Some of the rules are incorrect too.

I wish it had gone up to 8,000 points. Is there a two-person option? Otherwise, the game is fun. Why don't you have a version that will play on my iOS laptop? I used to play this on my iOS computer. It was nice with large print.
