Morgan
Inspiring at the exact right time.
Can’t sign it with epic games account
The below flow does not work: Sign in with epic games > sign in with google In fact nothing works on the epic games sign in other than sign it with email, which I can’t use because art station doesn’t let you associate a password with the account after the account is created using a different method. So I can’t use the app until the epic games sign in feature is fixed.
More artistic Pinterest
I really like that this has mostly more better quality art and an ease for finding ppl to commission but there is just too much AI
Back button blocking menu button in app
The back button in the app that sends you back to the sign in page is on top of the menu button and it’s incredibly irritating because you literally can’t click around it in the app. This is extremely frustrating- please fix this.
Tons of issues, could be great, can filter out AI
Upload limit is small at 25mb, Hard to identify posts with videos because the cover is a still, get push notifcations and can see I have comments but no notifications in the page on the app and the comments don't load. While they technically update the app, reviewers have had the same issue with notifcations for a while now. Seems to be on life support. Maybe if it gets more downloads they'll put more resources towards it.
I love the idea
It makes me feel happy
This is nightmare
First, the images stopped loading in the app, then I tried logging out and back in, but now it freezes every time I launch it and I keep getting an error. This has been going on for about a year now. Are the developers even trying to fix anything? Why does everything work fine on a PC, but the mobile app keeps throwing surprises at me? iPhone 16 Pro Max
Great for Portfolio displays
Cool app for art.
iPadPro Crashes
Every time I search for something and press on it the app crashes. Please update the iPad version!
AI and Like Button Are Bad
Decent platform. But the way AI is allowed on the platform really makes me resent it. Plus, on mobile, having to scroll all tf the way down to the bottom of a post just to find the like button is terrible. It would be much better off if it were attached to a stationary part of the interface so you don’t have to scroll to it. I like things I find appealing before scrolling so I don’t lose my place if my phone bugs out, and I’d like to be able to like items immediately upon opening them if I like the first image. I don’t think that’s too much to ask for.
Dcanimated.com
Hero
Year later and hardly functional
Crashes 75% of the time, notifications are entirely blank saying “Follow artists to get notifications” as if I do not already follow over 1,000. I have given up years later that this app will ever become useable.
Needs a widget
Great app however it really needs a widget like Behance or Pinterent
Barely works
Can’t upload images in the app, CTAs unresponsive, ambiguous error messages
Good overall, a bit unusable
Struggling with the app as its constantly crashing or randomly closing on me whenever I open someone’s work or just try to apply for jobs section. It makes me want to use the website instead.
The OG design is BACK!!
They inexplicably altered the design of the app, replacing it with a glowdown. However, it has been restored, and I am thrilled about it.
Not fit for artist
Noot good for artist
Excellent Platform but buggy
Great for exploring great art but crashes ALL the time! Such a shame as the interface is great, portfolios are next level yet the interruptions mean you can easily loose where you were. Please fix.
Fix your UI
I can’t even navigate the app because the button to sign out directly overlaps the menu button. Who designed this?
Frequently signed out
App generally works well enough for me, but I am frequently (feels like weekly or little more than that) signed out which is very frustrating. It occurs frequently enough that I’m discouraged from using the app.
Love it.
Love it.
Still broken!!!! For over a year!
App is still broken and the customer support link is also still broken. App crashes everytime you try to open an individual project. The app has not worked properly for over a year! I wish it would because logging in on the web browser is a pain and doesn’t fully work properly either. They must have given up on caring about the website a long time ago.
Double Tap Frustration
Overall, I like the app and feel it’s a great achievement in such a relatively short period of time. However, one thing is driving me absolutely insane in the latest update and that’s the ‘double tap’ on an image to like it. I often tap images on my phone to try and zoom in just to get a clearer view and then it shows me I’ve liked it which is frustrating. I use likes as inspiration and it feels terrible unliking something when all I wanted to do is get a better look. Please at least make this optional. I personally can’t stand gestures as they’re too easily done by accident.
Crashes
Everytime I'm on it, it crashes it happens every time.
Please fix the scrolling issue in the app
When you view an image, the scrolling stutters and freezes when scrolling down the page to see the artist’s other work. This occurs on any image with tags assigned. Works fine on image pages without tags assigned. Please Fix!!!
Great browsing experience!
Finally they get the browsing experience right. Such a joy to discover art work now.
Broken
Used to be okay. Now forcing to sign in with epic games makes things so annoying and tedious. App won’t even let me click the button to sign into epic games so there’s no way to ever get into my account through the app anymore. Tried to sign in on web forces me to reset. ArtStation has gone so downhill
Finally some decent display settings
Very usable now.
Notifications/Sign in
The notifications on here are bugged and it’s been like this for a long time. Doesn’t seem like a year long, ground breaking feat to see the same notifications I get on the computer, on here. And I’m constantly signed out for no reason, not changing PW or anything like that.
Enjoy the content but the app is unstable
I really enjoy browsing the art on Art Station, but for the last month or so, selecting a picture a picture causes the app the crash. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application to no avail. It's very annoying and has discouraged me to from using the application as much as I used to.
The App
Ok imma start this off with the app is just brilliant for me to post my work on and to view others and it works well on all devices and it helps small artists go on a road to adventure to be famous
Still no fixes
Years later and still no fixes to notifications. Owned by epic games btw, small indie company 🤡
Honest researched review
I’m writing this review based on a lot of research with asking many people who used iPads or iPhones how the app worked for them and the conclusion is always the same so no matter what the developer says as we always get the same line “we’ve made many improvements to the app it’s performing better than ever” is very frustrating as I know it’s not running as well as it could be!why not just be honest and say the pictures don’t load properly or takes forever to view or app sticks sometimes or no connection appears often but we are working on it instead of the crap!that being said it’s a fantastic and best app out there to see the amazing artwork by everyone and to view their portfolios and to be able to showcase your own talents for the world to see so that’s why I have gave it 4 stars as developers have done a fantastic job in bringing it to app form instead of having to use a browser so I ask this for the developer to just be honest with knowing about the issues as you know about the issues and people will thank you for your honesty and understand that getting it just right will take time as you have done an amazing job getting this far with it and I for 1 will always keep the app in the hope of it working a bit smoother in future so to conclude congratulations on a very well thought about app but please any improvements to the performance would be greatly appreciated Thankyou
Buggy and Unstable
ArtStation is the go to portfolio website for Artists. Unfortunately, navigating the app is a nightmare. Some posts open while others completely crash the app. It’s so random it makes the app unusable.
My notifications don’t change
It’s been 5 years my last notification in the app was from 2020. I have notifications pop up but once I click onto them they’re gone and there’s no record of it in my notifications tab. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. Other than that it’s aight.
Bringing the community together
Followed you guys since the early days of art station In 2013 wow it’s so much better! From the ease of access as well as the community!
Bad
Immediately ran into problems as soon as I went in
Great app for inspiration and following artists
But why don't links for ArtStation open in the app? Such as the daily digest email.
Notification Nightmare
I love the interface and the ability to network and create an online portfolio to showcase your art. I don’t love that the notifications don’t work on the app. I got an email saying I have likes and follows but nothing shows up in the app. No notifications, not even showing the like count on the pictures. Works on web but mobile isn’t quite getting the memo. Hope this resolves soon, I love the app otherwise
It needs some love
The app is definitely in need of some tlc. In an age where phone apps are a bit more convenient for the majority, the art station app feels like it’s fallen by the wayside. Sometimes posting your art is a hassle, liking content or even scrolling becomes a chore when the application itself is just so buggy. It’s all the minor bugs piled on top of each other that makes the experience so bad.
Artstation Review
I’m quite new to this app but I love it. It’s very easy to navigate, and you can really find content to inspire you.
Unusable on IPad Pro
The app is fine on my IPhone as far as I can tell but it’s unusable on IPad. Scrolling through the feed of people you follow: it crashes. Click on an artwork on the homepage: it crashes.
General reconmendation
I was very pleased to find this app as a platform of mystifical arts gathering place. Well done.
Constant Crashing
Constantly crashes
In the border region f bad app
It’s a not bad app. It’s good to watch other works and updates but I can’t see my own artworks. It shows nothing. No artworks in portfolio. But I now I have artworks there. I can see them in the browser. And have less navigation benefits from browser. Just good do watching others work.
New Favourite App!
Amazing artwork and love the magazine articles! Hope the challenges will be included soon!
WHY CANT I SIMPLY LOG IN?
This app is terrible, I already had a hard time signing up and when I tried to verify my account THE CODE JUST WOULDN’T SEND. Laggy and hard to use. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT
Amazing content, lacking practicality
Content is king as we all know that. But please implement a search functionality to help users find what they are interested in. Also please fix the browsing issues. Jumping back to the main feed after browsing an artists profile always put me back to the beginning of the list not to where I was. Other than that and the occasional auto logout and crashes, it is a great app. 👍 😉
Infuriating to use
While i love the Desktop website, the App is severely flawed in its user experience. You are forced to log in every time you open the app, and once you are able to get in, it gets worse. The search function is in a pullout menu located in the upper left corner, but is overlayed by a button that sends you back to the login screen. Unable to search or use most other app function.
Real nice app so far
Love the app but lacks few things: -Reliable AI filter. Some AI work filters through! -Cannot filter by artist you follow so you can be up to date with their releases and learn from them. - does not appear to have link to the shop. Have to go on desktop mode to buy stuff. - no under 18 mode so that young artist can view work appropriate for their age and seek relevant inspiration.
