Amazing for the number of models to use for generation
Overall, I like what I have experienced with Draw Things. I would like to see a small change. When setting the Font size, I would like to have the option to have the size be tiny for the image rendering overlay while using a larger size everywhere else. The main issue is that the translucent square obscures part of the image in the rendering process, so making it smaller is one solution.
Terrible
Absolute garbage. The second I start to edit anything to app crashes. If it can’t run on a 17 pro max that’s fully maxed out, then it shouldn’t be on the App Store. It’s that simple. It can’t handle a basic face swap without crashing. That’s pathetic. Remove this garbage from the App Store. Thanks.
Cannot Generate Video
The description on the App Store says you can make image to video with this app. I cannot figure out how to actually make a video. But, the text to image works great. Just don’t expect to be able to do everything this app says it can.
No updates
No first/last frame for video generation, LTX2.3 LoRAs do not work, several image models have been released over the past month and none of them are supported. Unfortunately this app has become much less useful.

It was good then All of a sudden the cloud compute just wouldn’t work can you fix it because it won’t auto send I have to keep reloading for it to send 300bits I think

Ideogram 4 image is my favorite model but I don’t have the resources to run it and it’s open source only 9 billion parameters, but I don’t have a powerful computer. I only have a consumer laptop.

The images generated a great especially “z image turbo 1.0”, but false marketing since it says “offline” and “private AI” when it literally uses servers to generate photos
Amazing App
One of the few apps I install on every new Mac that I get. Creates great images and video and has access to top models. Super intuitive to use. If you are having trouble with prompts (what to type) ask chatGPT or any AI service to create detailed prompts for you. I usually do 50 prompts at a time and come back later and delete the ones I don’t like.
You’ve broken the app

Great but can’t import ltx 2.3 models
fantastic app. easy to us e on Mac. but like the title says, ltx2.3 model files don’t show once imported (no matter what method). I have tried all tips suggested to no effect. Other downloaded models work fine

Frustrating setup from step/page 1
No idea what to choose for model source during setup - and not a single helpful bit of information on the wiki, or website.
It’s amazing!
It’s mind blowing how perfect it can make images but you need to learn how to use it before you can make perfect images so there a bit of a leaning curve buts is powerful!
Can’t select flux model
I downloaded it but if I try to activate it, nothing happens Can’t so anything withcthe app tried flux2 but always knits crashes right after open

This would otherwise be a glowing review but image editing is very frustrating to learn. Most of the time the image does not change.

Impressive!
I'm happy to see how much was done on this app to make it work locally on Apple devices. Being able to have options on where and how you want to generate are much appreciated. Not all of what you want to do locally is perfect, though. Some custom models or LoRAs you want to import may make your device crash. On the other hand, its diverse selection included in the app works well for my Apple mobile devices.
waste of iCloud backup
When you download a model, it currently gets backed up to the user’s iCloud, which is a massive waste of space. Please ensure that these models are not included in iCloud backups. Only the images should be backed up
Near perfect app!
This app is unbelievably feature-rich. I only have a small problem: when I download only an upscale model (real-esrgan4x) and then use the upscale preset, it causes the app to crash.

Great Image Generation App
Draw Things is a little miracle running on Apple devices. I use the app to create images on an iPhone 16 Pro in conjunction with the CLI version on a Mac Book M3. How this app manages to work that well on an iPhone alone astounds me. Despite the many configuration options to support different AI image and video creation engines, I found into it very quickly through integrated and also community provided configurations and aid on the Discord chat if needed. Support for the app is really tremendous from developer and community alike. Speed is great as everything is optimized for Apple’s ecosystem. Highly recommended!

Crashes on certain things, like importing models and image to text. Other than that though, I’d say it’s pretty good and fun to use
What a piece of junk.
I tried this on recommendation from a friend and now he’s not my friend anymore. I’m pretty sure that there are some folks who understand this app but after spending two days trying to render an image-to-image generation without inpainting I just gave up. I had to do extensive research just to find out that there’s no way to adjust anything to get what I needed. Maybe this is just above my understanding of AI generators and I’m fine with that, but the lack of help or ability to even find what I needed to do a simple i2i was just too much. The only reason I’ll give 2 stars is because I’m sure that once someone figures this out, it’s probably really great, but it just gave me a headache.
Good app, bad UI
Great app, and I wonder just how exactly it is funded without ads, and whether it’s sustainable, but that isn’t the point. My point is, with the new UI, there are features that in my head have been lost to the last version, there was no transition demo from the old to new UI. Also, for a diverse range of systems such as the IPhone 16, the thing crashes many times. PLEASE return the feature to insert an image, please return the feature where we can select and scroll down and select multiple images in the generation history at a time.
5 Stars and the #1 Reason to buy a Mac
This has some advanced features to make this a profession production for content creators, graphics & web designers, etc.
Just unexpectedly quits
It immediately unexpectedly quit every time I tried to generate an image. I tried four times in a row, then downloaded the latest from the site and tried that, same result.
Fantastic optimization, poor documentation
It is amazing how optimize this app is compared to alternatives like comfy UI or raw python implementations that try to run these type of models. The same models which result in 10 GB of swap on my 64 gb Macbook in comfy UI only use 42 gb of total system memory during the generation time. However my primary use case is automation, and unfortunately the API documentation for this program is practically nonexistent, which means I have to essentially poke around in the dark to figure out how to use it. This is a real shame, and a big frustration for my workflow. However the raw optimizations are so impressive compared to the alternatives that I feel like it would be unfair to give this app anything lower than four stars. However I hope that soon there can be complete API documentation released for both the HTTP and gRCP protocols so I can give this a five star rating.
It has potential but it’s buggy
This is a good app, but I made the mistake of connecting to the community within the app and tried rendering in the cloud. As soon as I did, all my Hunyuan videos began rendering with a cartoonish look. Disabling community rendering didn’t revert Hunyuan back to its original, realistic style. I had to reinstall the app and redownload all the models to fix it. Overall, it’s a good app, but it’s far too buggy. There are other issues too, but the biggest problem is stability—it crashes even when there’s plenty of RAM available, so every render feels like a gamble. It’s a shame, because it’s the only proper Mac-native app available, aside from complex tools like ComfyUI. Honestly, an app like this really needs to be acquired by Apple so it can be fixed or properly rebuilt. Update: the app forgets which models you have installed externally if you update the app, so, you can’t update it essentially. I’ve tested it and if using external models, the app forgets. Your choices are download to your internal drive or don’t use the app. I’d suggest to stay away from this app as it very very buggy and very poorly built. Learn comfyUI even though it’s slower on Mac.
Flux is slow
Nice local (& free!) image/video gen. Great dedication/productivity by the dev, thanks! However, Flux models run VERY slow in this software compared to diffusionbee…. Hopefully something can be done to make generation times less painful. Keep up the good work dev!
Wow Amazing
This is a very powerful app. The ability to download LLMs and generate images is great. I would like to see two things: 1. The ability to download LLMs things in the app while something is downloading. 2. The ability to mass delete files and not having to confirm every deletion.

Without fail, it will crash on iPhone, every single time. Waste of money. Ending my subscription.

We need to be able to delete our image history. When I select multiple images and click delete it only deletes one image!
impossible to apply a LORA consistently
For some images the LORA works. But for most images I see the LORA getting applied and then it is removed in the final image. Changing settings is no use. Extremely annoying.
Buggy Update
The app is impressive, but after installing the new update, it forgets downloaded models, crashes frequently, and the control tab disappears. Multiple reinstalls haven’t resolved this issue.

Was a fantastic app, but has regressed
This was a brilliant app. But I updated recently and it has regressed quite a bit. Now the gallery of images is very hard to use - no batch deletes for example, and you can not work with it while images are being created.. Much worse, all the presets are gone (“photographic” etc), thus making image creation far more difficult. In general, the UI has lost a lot of features and is much more difficult to use. A real shame!
Excellent
An excellent app. Brings everything you need to explore generative models into one place. Does what it says on the tin - if you can describe it, it can draw it. Only reason for not giving 5 stars: UI text is a bit small and could use a lot more guidance showing how to work with prior images. Also a batch mode for multiple projects would be useful.

There's literally no scroll bar for the basic settings on the left, I can't access half the options..

App Support link doesn’t seem to be to Support
The app closes on opening on my iPad Pro. I’ve tried a shutdown of the iPad and a ‘hard restart’ and still the app will not remain open. I am hesitant to delete the app since that also deletes all the data and I don’t want to lose the app data unnecessarily.

Great but issues with SDXL for me
Very good, takes some time to learn the settings compared to some website generators these days, be prepared to learn how to not get bad eyes etc. On my iPad M1 I find that SDXL simply doesn’t work, causes a complete crash of the app, which is a shame as I’ve found that SDXL is the best generator for me on other systems. Thx for the response: I’m already on the latest iOS 16.6.

nice app, but a few things can be improved. font size should be changable -- way too small on my m1 macbook air, causing eye strain. also, it is very confusing for a beginner how to upscale the generated image. could not figure it out and gave up
Was good, now not so good
This app used to be great, was able to make 512x512 images with multiple loras on but since some of the recent updates, my iPhone 12 is only able to create 384x384 images without crashing :/
