yeah its a subscription service (and its hard to delete your account)
i downloaded this app specifically because it stated no in app purchases. that is a lie. there is a subscription service they automatically sign you up for. tried to delete the account and got into a never ending loop. finally did it. you don’t need an app for a calendar and i pitty you if your company is making you use this.

App ok, no support, glitchy
Been using the app for 5 years, it can be very glitchy, the features are nice but there’s absolutely no support, have sent many messages never hear back. The differences in prices and features of the 3 options is crazy

Have used for almost 2 years and is great, but it would be better if personal schedules could be exported to other calendar apps so it was easier to schedule life around work.
Not working as it should
Good for high level info. The app is crashing fully closing, when I’m trying to message an employee.
Typical scheduling app but notifications need work
Anytime anyone posts a message whether direct to you or not causes a notification and a sound. With everyone responding your phone won’t stop sending a thousand notifications. And it’s only on or off for the notifications. Now I miss a lot.
I wish every business used this
It's just like the ideal way to schedule everything, all the positions are clear and clean, and it's easy to use from the employee and boss standpoint, and every time I go to a new company, and I have to relearn all their stupid apps and systems that they use I find myself wishing that I had sling again. I still try to get employers I work for to use it today. The only thing I maybe which week would be having it so everything work related could be handled by it so you don't have to have 17 different apps for one job, and then the next place you go to you have to download a bunch of new apps if you ever change jobs all over again. It would be nice if there was just one app that had all of it and I kind of wish that sling was like that. Maybe they could do it like scheduling is free, but if you want to upgrade to W-2s and taxes and stuff like that, then the employer has to pay a small fee, to make it worth it from the app developer standpoint.
Trash app
The stupid app won’t even stay open!! After the last update it’s worthless now. Can’t message my coworkers or my boss. Can’t check my schedule. It will stay open about 3 seconds and force closes
Work schedules made easy
From an employees POV, this app is brilliant, it allows me to see when I’m working, and since I’m just a backup guy, it lets me pick up shifts when needed, as well as allowing myself to message my managers, should it be needed. Only issue is when I’m swiping left or right in the shifts area, the swipes go the wrong way from where I’m swiping, I never had this issue on Android, but after switching to iOS, it started. Aside from that, I highly recommend Sling.
Laggy app
My work has been using this app for scheduling for a long time and it sucks. It’s laggy and constantly glitchy and it needs an update, I do not recommend it for scheduling unless you want to piss off your employees.
Employee POV
The app itself is useful but the bugs and glitches are insane. Every time I try to view my schedule it’ll load a different week when I scroll. When I try going back to the correct calendar, it’ll glitch out and I have to restart the app. Every. Single. Time. Also adding time off/unavailability is very tedious because it automatically applies it to a full 7 days and indefinitely. I do like that it sends push notifications to remind you that your shift starts in an hour.
Easy and efficient
We have used Sling for our small business scheduling for 6 years and have never felt the need to change. It’s easy to add and remove staff from and easy and clear with scheduling.
Horrible
I’m not sure why but it doesn’t keep the app open as soon as I open the app. It closes right back out it doesn’t allow me to scroll it’ll close it self out. I have to have this app for work and it’s a waste of space at this point.

The app is good for the most part but when I am scrolling to see the schedule no matter how careful and straight I scroll it will jump a week back then when I press to go to the present week it jumps two weeks ahead so then I have to go back to the week I was looking at and it does it multiple times and I have gotten to the point of using a different app to see my schedule because it does it multiple times every time I open the app.
Glitchy
The app glitches. You can’t look at the schedule too long before it automatically take you to a previous schedule like 2 weeks before. It’s annoying and I reached out to customer support and they said it’s because our schedule starts on Sunday….. that doesn’t make sense as to why that would be an issue but ok. I have to deal with it as is and so I do. My co workers also have this issue.

This app is so horrible all it does it cut out every 2 minutes and u can’t get anything done on it and im so thankful that August 1st we are going to another app, because this one will make u want to throw ur phone

The app is convenient like most work apps where you can see everyone’s schedule and communicate through there. But every single time I have to reload my app or close it because if I swipe down or up a little too fast it’ll just turn completely white/blank and load for more than a minute. It glitched every time I open the app the swipe through my schedule or full schedule. I never had that much issues with other work apps .
Easy to use but glitches are awful
My part-time job uses Sling for scheduling and messaging purposes. Most of the time it’s awesome and it convenient that it color-codes all the different positions. However, if you scroll too fast when viewing who is on specific shifts, or move from one week to the other, too quickly or in a way that the app doesn’t like, it ends up crashing and a blank loading screen appears and rarely goes away. The only consistent fix I’ve discovered is completely exiting the app and reopening it. If there was a way to fix this bug, it would definitely be a 5 star app, but it happens so often and can occur as quickly as opening the app that it frustrates me enough to give this 3 stars.

Sling is always up-to-date and a good reminder for my responsibilities. Good way of communicating with those in charge.
App force shutting down
Usually this app works pretty well but as of the last week it keeps force shutting down every time I open it. Have already deleted it and redownloaded it twice to no avail

Sling is very clear. One improvement that could be made. The software only fires off notifications is a particular company if you are logged into it. I didn t know this and I missed work opportunities and important announcements from the other company I m registered with I work in 2 schools and it s great they are covered with one sling account but notifications should come automatically from either even through you might not be logged into it within the app. Thanks.
UX bugs need fixing
Some key functions are broken, making for a frustrating user experience. Viewing coworkers on a shift only displays as many as fit on the screen at once most of the time, requiring a relaunch of the app if it doesn’t properly load the remaining coworkers. Navigating to a message through the search function will place you at a seemingly random location in the corresponding chat.
The hours are in, but the dates aren’t.
Where are my dates? My hours are added, but not by date!

Can you add phone call to this app? It would be nice to call somebody instead of texting.
Updated version keeps crashing
Just keeps crashing and unable to submit any requests or reply to messages - wonder what happened - used to work just fine.
Great app! Could do with widgets!
Great app, and super easy to use and intuitive. However I would like to be able to integrate it with my calendar so I can see my shifts in my calendar. Also a widget for the Home Screen and/or Lock Screen would be great to show when your next shift is and at what time at a glance. Also if you could clock in via a widget that would be amazing! Thanks 😊
Good, but one major annoyance
I like the layout of the app, it’s very straightforward and easy to navigate (though the unavailability process could be made far more straightforward, it’s way more over complicated than it needs to be). However, every time I need to use it, I have to close the app at least two times and reopen if I have to view another week’s schedule, as it always glitches and will skip ahead two weeks when I tap the arrow once, and when I try to go back, absolutely nothing loads. I’m really surprised this wasn’t fixed in any of the previous updates. But it’s rather frustrating. I use it on my phone, as I’m sure most employees do out of convenience. You should be making sure that not only the true website version is efficient, but the app as well. Sooooo many reviews have been telling you this. You would think even after a month this would be an issue to prioritize fixing, but I’ve been using the app for 3 years now and not a single update has made a difference.

in the unavailability section, you have the time clock for the left and right hand side of choosing the time and hours! In the left hand side of the time clock section could you add numbers 1-6 because it’s only giving me the option of 7,8,9am or pm and I’m trying to set the option for availability on the left hand side to 1 or 2 pm for the evening! And I do not even get the option for it! Can you please add it

Never update their app nor fix the bugs
I’m not sure how they can have 4.6 stars. It’s been six months since they updated their app!!! Errors happen quite often, either it’s I can’t clock out or start my break. Like are you kidding me 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ can’t you guys just fix it? It’s been SIX MONTHS, for gods sake.
Just okay
Works as it should half the time. Frequently reloads until you force close the app. Definitely needs more schedule viewing options. Also, in 2026 is there a good reason that this app doesn’t have a dark mode? I mean…. Facebook has a dark mode.🤷🏽
Sling is great
Sling is everything we wanted from a scheduling app. It’s worked flawlessly. I like the attention to UX UI.

Since I’ve updated the app it has been crashing constantly
Nice app to plan shifts when working seperate jobs
But it would be much easier if you could see all your shifts in one dashboard across all companies
Needs a bug fix
Can you please please please please fix the issue with the schedule view tab where it randomly switches weeks and gets stuck on the loading symbol. This has been going on for months without a fix and you have to force quit the app each time.
My boss should know it’s my day off
My employer should be notified of a pending request off/ requested day off if I post it. Instead it seems my employer isn’t informed when making the schedule. It’s ok they are generally pretty understanding but it causes this confusion on who is working. We having to swap shifts constantly just to get the schedules sorted out every week. Also an employer shouldn’t be able to schedule you on a day of unavailability without a confirmation from the employer through the app. There needs to be a give and take relationship through the app. Instead I am forced to wait for the schedules to be posted then the employer get bombarded with calls and messages saying that those are unavailable days already requested in the app.

Excellent software for rec staff scheduling.
Too many glitches
This app is almost unusable. Can’t even make a post because the text box doesn’t work. Also there are not live updates so I have to close the app anytime I need to refresh.

But to bad you cannot remove your shift totally by yourself...it is a bit of a lie when your name remains in position although you have declined it...

as a recently registered EMPLOYEE I am having great difficulty finding where I can apply for leave ( holidays) I cannot get out of the employer mode. I am reasonably computer savvy so must be missing a step somewhere.
