I think this new closing out and settling on Square is absolutely ridiculous. You are going to lose a lot of clients because of this.
Would love a better option for offline.
I use this as a HVAC service technician. Works well, but because I am out of cell service often I fine myself unable to clock in. I have one of those jobs that is never in the same location or on the same schedule.
widgets lock screen bug
what’s the point of letting users add widgets to their lock screen if it’s just going to disappear/get removed every time the app is updated?? pls fix

Don’t get me wrong it’s a great app but I wish there was an option to input my weekly schedule myself independent from my shop owner/manager. I also would live a way of clocking in and out on the app.

Basic
Square is extremely basic and does not meet business requirements in the fields of tracking staff availability, calendars and scheduling. It is very basic for menu ordering but glitches or freezes frequently

Lacking the most basic features
You somehow don’t have the option to sync your schedule with your calendar… I quite liked the POS system but the app has been an absolute downgrade from 7shifts, which we switched from. I don’t think we’d have made the switch if we knew this beforehand.

The app is not easy on notifications
By far the easiest way to do payroll that I’ve experienced in 35 years owning my costume store.
The square team and the app are excellent I’ve used them for over 5 years.
Blue Notifications Dot Won’t Go Away
I’ve tried everything from updating the app, deleting and reinstalling and seeking support help and the stupid blue dot that says I have a notification won’t go away.

okay. square is annoying. being a square is annoying. but you gotta do it even just for two of the 5 days. then you get the end. a break. if someone tells you you need a break because you’re not okay. take it. take what you need and it’ll be yours. but use your wisdom to know that you need to ask for it. remember though. so down because closed mouths don’t get fed.

Wish i could have more control or could go back n clock in at least its So annoying having to wait as long as it takes to know ur hours n money that is coming cuz once u get used to it its impossible not knowing how much u made so far

POS system
As someone who's used restaurant POS systems over 12 years this is by far the worst POS system I've ever used 10 out of 10 would not recommend. Unless you're a type a personality this system will never work for you.. it is by far the most unorganized system I've ever used as someone with type b personality.
Dates passed look like today
It would be helpful if dates that have already passed on the schedule would turn to gray or lined through. I have a number of employees who consistently look at the wrong work week bc it was what they looked at the last time using the Team app. In doing this, they record the wrong shift and miss work.
Photo Sending Needs Improvement
Photos in the Square Team app don’t send if you leave the chat, so important messages get lost. Uploading photos is slow, which makes it hard to use in a busy workplace.
widget doesn't say shift time
this app works just fine but the widget is borderline useless because it doesn't say the shift time. would love to see this added

Please let me sync to my google calendar
I manage a coffee shop and it would be so helpful to be able to add my shifts to my work calendar or even my apple calendar. I already spend so much time inputting schedules and it would save me a hassle of adding my own personal one each week. It would also be helpful for my college baristas who require extra planning around their courses. Thanks square
Frustrating
Should be option for availability that isn’t just repeated. Makes extremely difficult for a business with people whose availability changes on a weekly basis.

incovnenient that the subcontrsctors have to download the app to get their tax forms to send to their computers instead of being able to log in on a computer in the first place

Great system, awful customer service reps. I got a more job who also uses square and I’m unable to sign up with my new job. Rep told me to call my old employer to get it taken care of. Been on hold for 25 min and still going.

The Best Helpful app ever!!
I use to use this app for work all the time.when I had a job at a coffee ☕️ shop .And this app was very useful to use when I need to know stuff for work.And this app was very helpful when I needed to clock in & clock out when I had my job at a coffee shop.
Do NOT use square
This is the WORST invoicing platform i have ever used. Shutting our accounts down for no reason then we give them ample proof of our business and they don’t care. Locking our money up for months at a time. Absolutely ridiculous.
Doesn’t sync with calendar
Good, simple to use app. I wish it would sync with Apple calendar easily!
Barely Works
While I adore the square app and even the website services they offer, the square teams app just barely works most of the time. I’m lucky if I can actually view my schedule at any given moment, let alone request shift swaps with co-workers or request days off. The group messaging service has also seemed to bug more in the last few weeks, and isn’t loading the most recent messages. It’s giving a log of all the older ones for some odd reason. I get error messages constantly when trying to access most features, usually telling me I’m not with my company any longer, or the app just saying it can’t load. Only thing it’s consistently good for at this point is punching in and out. I don’t understand why it’s not smoother running overall, just disappointed.
PSt timing is off
I love the app it’s convenient and easy as a user. The issue i have with it is living on the East Coast but having to use PST in settings in order for the correct scheduled time to appear on the schedule for the team. Can that be fixed or what should we do differently?

Terrible
There is basically no support, no joke it takes up to 3 months to get a reply and sometimes not even then. You can’t delete an employee on deactivate them. If the employee had ST with another business they can’t get in your account because it shows they’re registered with the other company. I have my phone set to dark and now they just updated it so that messages show with a white dialogue box, I don’t want that. This is not a great app.
Never Loads
Would be nice if I could actually see my schedule and timecards instead of a white screen. Had this problem forever and it’s never fixed.

Please let me switch profiles instead of fully logging out and logging back in. And if you don’t have a website don’t include a link in your emails to “view schedule”

Unable to send msgs to my team
I have tried for months to resolve this issue with no success. It isn't crucial, as I am the Office Manager, and communication is vital to my role.

Constantly crashes, can’t open schedule unless all other apps are closed, always isolate just one team member even when you change it to see all and “save changes”, always have to reset it. Super annoy tbh!
Half my app displays in Spanish
I like the app, except the lower half of the screen displays in Spanish and I have everything set to English. Doesn’t make sense. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Still the same.

Super nice! The only thing I would change is to see personal schedule separately from everyone else’s
Not user friendly
App will only let you put one photo, when there are times you need to put in more! Square is not real user friendly!
Time off
The app is pretty slow when opening but that’s not the main problem. When trying to schedule time off I’m not able to scroll to the bottom of the calendar

i wish it was similar to homebase. it’s decent but the app could be better, considering how big of a company square is. to add…time clocks can’t be edited thru the app on phone…have to pull out my laptop. Efficiency reduced there.
