Great app but with Duplicated expenses lately
Toshl is great. I think I’ve been using it for than 10 years. I love it. However, recently there is Sth wrong. If I added a purchase, two same purchases would appear and the expense was calculated wrongly. I deleted the duplicated one, both disappeared, so I had to add it for a third time. Could you look into it? Thanks.

Interface is much better on Android than Apple
When you search for keywords on Android phones, the expenses are neatly sorted by dates and you see at one glance which expense you are looking for, instead of having to tap into each expense to see the date on an iPhone.

NO WAY TO ENTER PAYEES!!!
I’ve never seen another financial app where you couldn’t at least put the payee as a note that you could then at least see on your expense list page. Unfathomable-Especially when it’s not included in the upgrades either!!
Goal setting
It would be even better if there’s capability to set goals, instead of pure budgets. It involves too much accounting to be able to set up a goal. 😕
Old GUI
This looks like a decent looking app and a likely contender. However, that was up until I installed it to give it a go. Any app that still uses stretched iphone emulation on an ipad, even if functionally perfect, stays installed for no more than one minute. Please consider opening this up to other devices, not just a small screen iphone. Thanks.
A good start but could be so much better
- please make auto categorization work with a feature to recategorize historical transactions - for the love of all that is holy and good, just give me a simple pivot table to categorize transactions dynamically - all of these floating balls are not super helpful for comparing numbers - search for a specific transaction should show a spinner while ongoing otherwise it just looks like there are no results, then I wait 5 seconds and there are, super confusing

An iPad app. I know I can use it on the website from my iPad, but a developed iPad interface would be nice.
Remove my email
I have asked them to stop sending me all emails as I deleted my account and unsubscribe from everything and I still receive monthly spending reports for the app that I haven’t used for 5 years. Do you take gdpr seriously?
Awesome App.
Would rate 5 stars if I could link to my account and it track my expenses vs me having to remember to input manually everyday. I could then go in and just add those items for which I paid cash.

Your app won’t allow me to cancel the subscription
I had an automatic renewal subscription but now i want to cancel it. You app has no option and the App Store does not show as a recurrent subscription but you guys are still charging me. I need this subscription cancelled as soon as possible. Someone needs to contact me to get this issue resolved.
Great for currency exchange. Weird branding
Just downloaded this app mere seconds ago so will update my review as I use it. The only thing that already throws me off is the weird one-eyed pirate bat guy & the ‘Medici’ level. Comes across like some weird illuminati witchcraft b.s. & I don’t like it. Doesn’t produce a sense of trust in your brand & when it comes to handing you the digital keys to my finances - trust is important. Just saying I don’t want the Medicis or that weird bat thing handling my money. But because after a lot of research it seems like you guys are the only app that can handle expats/multi currency ppl so I’m stuck with pirate bat for the time being. Get better branding please.

Fix Syncing Issue Please
I really love this app. I love the format and the different tools that are useful to me as a millennial trying to get her financial life in order. I pay for medici! Unfortunately, it’s lacking in convenience and reliability being that every month or so I have issues with syncing. The app says I don’t have a subscription when I do. It’s pretty frustrating waiting for the app to sync back to realizing I have a subscription and allowing me to see my expense break down :/ Please fix this. I love you guys! This is my first review on any app 😄
Simple and effective
I’ve been using Toshl for more than 11 yrs now and is impressed by the simple UX. This app has helped me track my expenses and manage my finances better.
Poor app
Unfortunately, it’s the only app I’ve found with intensive budgeting capabilities, but it’s glitchy as all get out. The app just erased all the tags I’d tediously created for a year, and it frequently creates its own at random. There’s always trouble syncing my AmEx account, and right now, I’ve got duplicate banks showing because app won’t let me delete one. It’s just plain glitchy, everywhere I turn.

As quicken and mint don’t work in UK this looks perfect. But the iPad version is just a large mobile version. Not great really. Hopefully will update iPad version soon!
New User
I just downloaded the app but I am really confused as to how to set a reoccurring income or expense? Also when you add an income the only option is cash even though my account is linked which doesn’t make much sense to me. I bought the monthly subscription so if I’m paying I should be able to set reoccurring income and expenses I would think

This one just makes sense, as a result we use. Best confirmation it’s useful in a way that you actually use it - we got our late teens and early twenties to start managing their own finances, keeping track of income expenses and investments
Took our contacts but did not give the free movie night
A girl at Suntec City approach us and took our contact in exchange for a free movie night. The girl mentioned she will Whatsapp me this app download link and the free movie night details. That was around 2 weeks ago until now still no update. I tried email in to the support, 1 week still no reply. Lucky we did asked the girl for your app name. I hope the support team can give me a good answer.

Right idea just doesn't work!
In theory this is an excellent idea, in reality it just doesn't work or feel right. I had to subscribe to the month version to try to set it up properly (I didn't have to but felt I needed to so I could make the most of the features). However I found it very confusing and it kept giving me more money than I was entering when asked-I have no idea why!?
Expenses from bank account show delayed
According to Toshl, I haven’t spent any money in 5 days which are 5 days of inaccuracy. I was interested in this app because it appeared to make budgeting easier, but there’s nothing easy about trying to remember what you bought at Walmart a week ago.

I started with this app three years ago and had issues getting accounts deleted or starting new budget. So I dropped it. Just reopened thinking bugs were fixed but had the following: can’t see entire screen (edges off page) and can’t delete old information. Can anyone recommend an app that will let my budget change with my life?

Sub categories!
You have categories, but no sub-categories, which is what I will use tags for. It's good to know I spend money on 'Food & Drinks', but i want to be able to split that from groceries, take away,restaurants and whatever else (which is where tags come in). It's not just limited to Food & Drink, but also entertainment. Splitting that down into concerts, booze, books, movies, whatever else I wish to put in there. Also, it's good to know how much I'm spending at 'which' payee, perhaps I'm spending more at McDonalds over Pret than I should be. Also, it's great to know what date I bought something by filtering the name of WHO I bought it from, not 'when' (which I don't know, cos that's why I'm looking for it).
Medici in the UK?
I like Toshl and have been using it for a couple of years now. It is intuitive and easy to use although was a bit problematic with your changeover. The new design is much better (it would be nice if you could change the input between income/expense on the phone app as you can on The web version). I paid last year for Medici hoping that I would be able to use it in the UK but it seems that none of my banks were possible to link with the app. I am wondering if you are planning on linking UK banks with the app as the only ones available seemed to be US banks. If it is the case that one can use it on the UK now or in the future, could I have my first year free as I have paid for the upgrade for one year and not been able to use it!! It sounds very useful which is why I paid for it but I am not sure why it is advertised to UK customers if it does not work with their banks.

Not working
I had an account with Toshl years ago. Wanted to try it again. App would only let me sign in with either Facebook or google. Neither of which I wanted to use. Wanted to create an account just using my email, but this wasn’t accepted. When I broke down and used Facebook there were very old numbers in my account. I tried to delete the numbers or the accounts but the app wouldn’t allow that either. I must say I am very disappointed!
Great personal finance app
The interface is easy to use. The reminder is good for lazy people like me. However, the pie charts are quite confusing.

Okayish
The app is fairly good. Easy to understand but there are too much small bugs that destroy the experience The bank connection keeps accumulating “new” entries that have been there for weeks, and when you try to sort them out you get a nice error Managing your data with the app is not as efficient as doing it through the website The app also lacks flexibility when you try to manage your tags and other stuffs especially the dates (you cannot have a budgeted date and an actual credit/debit date, my previous app had it) I used the medici upgrade for couple of months now to get the bank connection, but it doesn’t offer much more than i was expecting. It is great for tracking but you cannot do anything else but tagging the records. There’s no functionality which takes advantages of that. It might come in the future but for now the bank connection is not good

A Bit of a Waste
I like the way the app works, but unfortunately, the dimensions are wrong for iPhone 8. The list of budgets overlap obscuring their titles. I stupidly bought the paid version because I used this app before on a previous phone and loved it. I hate this version; it’s mostly useless if you can’t see your list of budgets.

Promising but Extremely Buggy
This app shows a lot of promise, however, I've finally managed to get my finances added after overcoming some extremely annoying bugs, not good enough for a paid subscription app!!! 1. The edit function only allows you to do this once in each session, once you've utilised it once you're unable to do anymore, leaving you with no choice but to kill the App and reset to get another one "edit credit"!! 2. If you reschedule a payment from one month to the next it's not smart enough to knock the series of payments on, leaving you with two of the same in one month, the only choice is to delete the series and re-enter again 😡 3. The feature to schedule a payment to quarterly defaults to every two weeks, I tried numerous times to edit (see point 1!) until I thought I was going mad and asked my wife to try, nope the same. Having these kind of glaring bugs on a paid service is shocking, SORT IT OUT PLEASE or give me a refund....

Have been using the previous version of this app. Recently downloaded the latest version. I quite like the changes made to this version but it would be a lot better if we could view a month to month breakdown of the various sums in the different "accounts".
Best personal finance app ever
I have been using Toshl since 2014, I think. And I am totally hooked. It’s beautifully designed, with all the customisation options you may need.

Why do i need to setup a free account with you to use this app? The only reason is so you can see how much money people have and use and their finances. No thanks. Im not a mug.
"Tag" system for a Personal Financial Management app
Having been a paying member for the last six month, Toshl went through a user interface overhaul recently and created Toshl 2 with some added features. Although the new features introduced are great, what make Toshl stands out from their competitors is the integration of "Tag" system into day to day personal financial management as it is extremely useful allowing users to customize their own income and expense groups rather than dealing with a whole lot of category presets that come with most financial apps. eg. Credit Card, Car Loans, Mortgages, Bills, Utilities, that might not be applicable to a certain group of age demographics. Overall, Toshl shuns away from the stereotypical technical designs of personal financial management apps out there and allow users to be creative in building their own financial cash flow system that fits and work.
Horrendously buggy
I set/edit budgets multiple times but it doesn't show. Each time the app crash, the budget is reset to the initial one. I purchased the monthly subscription to allow for multiple budget and income. This app does not even reflect the 2nd budget and 2nd income that was updated into the old app/cloud last week.
Better than previous version but got few bugs, laggy transition
A good app, better than previous version. Still having 3 years pro account. Didn’t use it since there wasn’t any update from Toshl after so long. Now I have half year remaining in pro account. However, this app seems not stable. Laggy transition when sliding to right to view financial accounts. Nothing appeared on income page after I add income under expense page. Same occurs when adding expense under income page. This doesn’t occur to web version though. Slow loading too.
