Terrible. Poor writing, bedroom scene amidst murder interviews in heroine’s house. Ludicrous.
Out of Country Access
Acorn is not available in Panama and I vacation there for 2 months every year.
Streaming is difficult
I like the variety on Acorn and I enjoy having access to British shows. The price is reasonable compared to other streaming services BUT the casting to TV is very iffy. It’s difficult to get the casting started and then if you pause the show and try to restart it, it doesn’t always work and you have to start all over. If you’re binging a series the next episode doesn’t start automatically. After you’re done with a show the app always gives an error message about it ending unexpectedly. It’s very frustrating. I don’t have these problems with any other app.
Former favorite
Have had for about 10 yrs. Not thrilled with newer program selections. They’re keeping up with trashier tv of today. Why we gave up on regular tv. They had (and still have some) great entertainment. Not just sex, swearing, and childish bickering. Brits had real stories and great actors. Maybe going back to books!
Great series options
Whether it’s dramas, mysteries, comedies , true crime or wanders through the countryside Acorn offers a fantastic viewing opportunity ! Worth every penny !!
Horrible.
App is a constant rediculous struggle. It doesn’t load without multiple attempts. You can’t just choose a show and it loads. When the show finally loads, 90% of the time I have to make more than 2 attempts to get an episode to load. Then, it’s back to try, try, try to watch an episode. When I’m done with the show I’m watching, I’m canceling. I wish it was better, there are some interesting offerings.

I LOVE MYSTERIES. TOO many have characters do unbelievably stupid things. Same old, same old, old. For most part I can find series I like on Acorn but when there is the most unlikely event, I want to end watching. Thank you..
Subscribed never worked
After watching a show in France I liked, I subscribed to AcornTV via AppleTV. I tried to log in and followed the help files. Because of my schedule I am not able to sit for hours troubleshooting. Apple says its a vendor issue, AcornTV has never sent me an email so their help files are worthless, and they have zero real support. After a year of trying every month or so when I am home I gave up. I never got to watch a show, $44+ wasted. Subscription cancelled.
Shows not available in Canada
Unfortunately some of the shows that acorn advertises are not available in Canada, even when you pay the same price as other countries. It’s pretty disappointing and I’m considering not renewing because of this.
Love Acorn TV!!
AcornTV allows me to enjoy all of my favorite shows and movies and experiences different shows from different countries that I would not otherwise seen..recommend Acorn to everyone! Love it!
Can’t actually watch anything
Cant actually watch anything. I click play and nothing happens. The only thing I’m able to watch are trailers. Immediately deleted.
Abit disappointing lately
Acorn has some great shows but at the moment there seem to be very few new shows (last 3-6 months) so the subscription is not worth it at the moment.
The Content is Ok, The App is Horrid
Nothing but misery with this app, particularly when Casting to a bigger screen. The most egregious issue is the sudden , premature ending of programs before they finish. It happens constantly and the process for returning to the point of failure to finish watching is cumbersome and aggravating. Perfectly fine if you don’t mind watching on a 3.5” screen and having your program suddenly stop as the murderer is being revealed.
Screen choice
I am enjoying Acorn very much, the content is good. The thing I am disappointed about is on my iPad I can’t get landscape option picture. So it’s a small letter screen. I have Britbox and I can get landscape option on there. Brenda
Travel through the various series on Acorn
If you need a get away, subscribe to Acorn. Each of their series, especially Mysteries are in settings and places it would cost an arm and a leg to travel. Yet, if you have the time and the money, then use Acorn to have travel suggestions.
Won’t play any shows or add to watchlist
Would be 0 stars if allowed!!!!! Downloaded app onto iphone and apple tv. Shows won’t start and I can’t add to watchlist or add to favorites. Deleted and reinstalled multiple times. Guess I wasted $99. Piece of junk app.
Content is great, app is rudimentary
I love the shows on AcornTV, and because I’m trying to distance from filling Jeff Bezos’ pockets, I moved to a standalone sub. The shows are great, but wow the app controls and usability are not. The precision required for the tap controls is erratic at best, and there is an overall lack of intuitive usability and navigation. I hope it improves in upcoming updates.
Downloaded shows expire too fast
I like Acorn, however when you download content it expires really quickly. If you come back to a show you started a few days prior, the download is expired. It’s frustrating when traveling or in a low connectivity area.

The app itself is ok. The interface is mediocre. The selection of shows is poor. They are largely boring, poorly written.

You can't go wrong for value and quality of all the offerings from Acorn. Any streaming binger without it is missing out! Best streaming deal around!!

I’ve subscribed to and enjoyed Acorn for years. My only complaint is that I can’t disable autoplay. Why can’t I?
Acorn not working on iPad
I’ve tried everything. Taking app off, restarting phone, watching videos to correct. Nothing works. Acorn works fine on my phone.
Review of Acorn tv
I have had Acorn tv for a few years now and really enjoy the kind of programming you offer. I have also told my friends and family about Acorn and have recommended it to them. Sometimes the ads for shows can be a bit misleading. They will advertise a new show that’s come out but when I click on it I find that I have watched them all and it’s not really a new show at all. I have learned that there is a drop down menu for more series but even then, not all the shows are as new as you suggest. I will keep Acorn as a provider and look forward to some more great shows. I just would like it that when a new viewing guide comes out, all the shows are new ones, not re-runs.

It’s very disappointing that you have little to nothing regarding the great Queen Elizabeth II.There are an increasing amount of shows with cursing, sex and violence. If I wanted that I can just watch tv here in the USA and drop my subscription. Thank you for your concern.

Can’t get it to play on my tv with my iPhone connected. Not sure why. Had this problem before and it’s still not fixed . :(

FIX THIS APP PLEASE
This app worked So Much Better BEFORE the New Version. Only thing I like about new app is the Search Feature. This version doesn’t let you skip episodes that you don’t care for. No longer plays consecutive seasons automatically. I CANCELLED MEMBERSHIP BECAUSE IT IS SO ANNOYING

I’m grumpy that I can’t access Acorn while I’m on vacation in Mexico
glitchy
Really fed up with this App and its web based option. It will all of a sudden tell me ‘page not found’ for every show or say ‘too many people watching on this account’ when I am the only one and using only 1 device. I never have this issue with Britbox or any other streaming site/App. I will never use this again and have cancelled my subscription.
Newer shows
I like Acorn, but I wish they had more variety and more recent shows. What about The Graham Norton Show, 8 Out of Ten Cats Does Countdown, The Last Leg etc etc …?

Paid for an annual account, but login / reset password does not work and I am unable to reach customer service.
Sound volume
Enjoying everything but, did noticed that the sound volume is a little lower than my tv side. I use an IPad for both. Is there anything Accorn can do to adjust that ? I am hearing challenged. Thank you Gema

Programming
Acorn requires some updated programming and more to chose from. Not a fan of watching a series through sub titles which is becoming more common with Acorn. May not renew for another year as the past year has not had much new content added.

I have been using this app for sometime. I have never had an issue either whilst using and viewing content or the app itself. I love British TV and it is hard to find apps/ streaming ones in Australia. So love it and keep developing it.

There are not enough new movies or series to keep up with my binge watching style, although most everything you have is excellent.
Need a few changes
I would have given a 5 star rating but I hate where they placed the the play, fast forward and the back buttons! I would like them better if they were in the middle of the page! Another thing I don’t like os that they don’t give you an option to stretch the page/show!
