Good
Just tried it
Just downloaded the app and entered some text to hear the artificial voice and heard nothing…hm
Pretty good overall, needs support for apostrophes
I am using this app for reading textbooks to me. I like it a lot, the cheaper tier works just fine for me. The voice is obviously synthetic, but listenable. Right now I’m having real issues with the fact that the app can’t read apostrophes correctly. It’s distracting to hear about “Occam ess razor” instead of Occam’s razor. I hope that’s something they can patch because otherwise I think it’s one of the best values in PDF readers. Especially helpful is being able to import from OneDrive.
It’s ok
This app is okay, it’s helpful if you need to hear and read at the same time. However it randomly pauses so much I won’t be renewing. It’s very annoying to be honest.
Great product, but has some glitches
Generally works really great, but once in a while, it glitches and gets stuck in a thinking mode. Or sometimes it does an indefinite pause between pasted paragraphs. These are frustrations, which makes the product less than ideal. I also wish that it was smart enough to recognize but notes and end note when they document pasted, it would not read those numbers out loud.
Yay
Got my tonsils out, feels uncomfortable to talk, perfect way
Not Free
It’s not free. It’s advertised as free, once in the app you can try for free “no payment due now.” I delete it !
The voices in the app sound congested
I really like the app because I hate reading and it’s relatively cheap compared to other apps. I only have the pro version of the app, but the voices all sound congested when reading 😭 I was using ChatGPT to read stuff to me at first, but it stopped working and would cut out in the middle of reading so I switched to this. It isn’t bad, I just can’t pick a voice that doesn’t sound like they’re struggling to read the text or needs to clear their throat. I can’t understand what they say too well when I try to make it read faster, but that’s okay with me. I just get impatient sometimes, lol. Also, the app will pause itself if you try to play games like Minecraft or Roblox while listening. It’s pretty normal, but you can’t unpause it like you can do with music. As far as I can tell at least. It doesn’t really get emotional tones and it’s pretty bland, but it’s better than that one robot voice that reads to you when taking a test or whatever. The app is pretty decent for what it’s meant to do, but if you’re picky then I’d suggest playing with the ultra version of it or just using a different app overall.
It’s ok
When I put my pictures in, it reads it for me like perfectly, but it like messes up the words so it would be like skipping over words and making up random words
Good. Not great.
Voices are good. Quality of the read leaves more to be desired. It skips words or jumbles them up. It can’t read documents offline. It pauses frequently when screen is turned off.

Interesting App, Interesting Utility
After landing the app on AppAdvice, I was pleasantly surprised at the smooth and capable voices that proved capable and some even relaxing. The utility here is evident. I had an issue sharing my account access with my iPad from my phone and I contacted the developer. He was a gentleman and acted quickly with attentive resolve- that’s always a good sign. Admittedly I haven’t explored competing apps of the same category much but apart from some simplified UI (does it really need to be fancy?) I can say it exceeded my expectations and I’m thankful for the handy tool.
Ehh
App does what it needs to do, but for the price It did not perform to the standard I had hoped. App would continuously crash while I was using it and it struggled greatly to read certain words and numbers.
Needs to be more accessible
I think it needs to be a little bit more accessible for the blind People Who uses This app

Good
Thank you for the lifetime offer. However, I would like to point out that it is not currently available through the App Store, which presents a challenge for restoring it as a purchase. One of the primary features I was looking forward to was the text-to-speech functionality when selecting text in other apps and choosing the share option. Unfortunately, although the icon is present, the app does not appear to respond at all. Additionally, I have noticed a limited selection of voice options. I believe there is significant potential for improvement in these areas. Thank you for considering my input.
Not worth the money
Works alright but not perfectly. I'd expect more for the price
Hangs all the time.
Hangs all the time and speech is only just acceptable, it isn’t great

It is not good At scanning and it can’t scan some of the simplest sentences. Please go find another app.
Amazing
I used this when I had a sore throat, amazing app
Very disappointed
Im very disappointed with this app. I tried several that had the same pdf upload and read out function and this one was by far the best (at the time) this was November of 2025. I used the app through January without issue. I hadnt used it in some time and when i went back and uploaded a PDF for some reason In June of 2026 the app reads out and highlights two different parts of the text. Its unusable. I reached out to support, they gave me the advice to update the app. I did and the problem continued, i reached back out to support and was met with silence. I payed $40 for a year of use on this app and now it doesn’t work. Also since the purchase was so long ago i cant dispute it with apple. I would not recommend using this app. And i also feel like my money was stolen and i am due a refund for purchasing a service that doesn’t actually work. Very very disappointing
Very limited but does the job
As someone who can’t afford subscriptions the app itself is not bad, I like the fact offers a variety of languages with different kind of voiceovers, while it might be limited to use for free is better than other apps in my opinion.
No Siri voice.
$5 a week? Yeah, no. Someone is a little too proud of their AI button. Like how once you pick a voice it locks you to that voice till you pay up. The app was super cool when it started. Then got worse and worse. Lack of Siri voice made it worthless to me. I wanted something for PAs that was Clearly not human. These voices are super boring.
very slow
some times with imported texts it will take like 5 minutes to load and be very stop start
Great for “Reading” in bed
Looking forward to reading more books in the soothing voice I’ve chosen.
I just got scammed
Free trial button didn’t give me a free trial but made it look like it would. Super sketchy. Want my money back. It had been a few days, my refund was denied and I have had to SPEAK (further damaging my vocal cords) to customer service reps who won’t help me with a refund. Legit evil company, don’t use these guys.
It’s good but..
There’s bugs
Why is it impossible to get an AI to say VA as in Veterans affairs?
If there’s one thing I’m tired of in this world he’s having to constantly repeat myself because the Department of Veterans Affairs is horrible and the American people seem to think there was more that I could be doing here. This app would be great. I would give it five stars, but it can’t say VA without saying Vaah and I can’t say my last name which is not hard at all. It’s Tobin but whatever reason even here he wants to add ah sound Tahbin
Pretty useless
This is a useless app tbh because first it's preset on a voice to make you use pro and the non-pro voices are all rubbish. I would still use it if you need to. ⭐⭐⭐
absolutely
A great app
This app has been just charging me
I have no subscription with this app, yet they keep charging my app account. I am just finding out and look in my subscription because I know I hadn’t subscribe ( sure didn’t subscribe). Service I didn’t get, refund me.
Awesome
Have had my voicebox removed because of cancer and this app helps when I’m shopping.
Unable to skip/move to another area of text
I'm using this to help me study a textbook that I have an exam on for work, however when I need to move/skip to another chapter it just continuously loads and doesn't actually play/read the text. Such a shame seeing as I am paying for it aswell.
We need the original version
The new version dosen’t even have the original Daniel voice, can you please revert to the original version so I can use the Daniel voice
So helpful!
Great product
terrible
terrible pronunciation

POV your here from TikTok
Doesn’t work anymore
Used to work great but now doesn’t generate the words in different voices
Minor issue
I use this to make commentaries for my videos, it was good for a while but soon it starts freezing and I have to delete my entire video script to make it work again. I have uninstalled but I recommend it it has some very cool voices. I hope this is helpful! :)
Not bad. And thanks for this beautiful application
Trying to use it. Please make sure to improve copy and paste features in this app. And thanks for the application. With Kindest Regards!

Fantastic
It’s fantastic. It’s a great help for when I am non verbal (as I’m autistic) the only thing I have an issue with is the adverts. You can remove the adverts from a small price but unfortunately my phone isn’t compatible with the removal of ads. *Sad face*. I’m extremely happy that I can save what I have wrote so I don’t have to re type it if it’s a regular saying or a in emergency what needs to be said. I would love it if you could have the option to create a file for example food and drink. Or emergency scenario. But not put everything in a file. Thank you for the app it’s extremely handy to use (minus the ads). :-)
Too Many Ads
There are too many ads, it makes the app unusable.
Speak 4 me
I think this game is really good for messing around but there is WAY TO MANY ADS
