Miss the ATM at the bank. Crazy have to go elsewhere without a charge.
Good bank
A good bank. They keep on top of fraud alerts when needed and the staff is friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that they don’t post deposits as quickly as other banks.
Rates keep dropping
The HYSA interest rates keep dropping, four times since I opened my account less than a year ago. No notifications when this happens! Will be transferring to a better bank.
ATM/Branch Locator Broke
Overall the app is decent, but when I try to use the ATM location tool in the app it says access denied and I don’t have the appropriate credentials. I called Sunflower in September 2023 and talked with the online folks and they also see the same issue, but the issue is still there. The rep said I could use the browser to locate a branch and I said this needs to be fixed since it is a tool in the app. Two months later and still not resolved.
Personal bank
They have always caught frauds before we do and really appreciate it. Only complaint is that my bank do not have own atm machine I have to search for atm to withdraw funds or at store checkouts.
Not user friendly
App glitches a lot. It double alerts you of the same transaction.
Using the app
This app is a little more challenging to use than the previous pioneer app. The order of transactions is so different but I’ll adjust. I’m not happy with coming monthly service charge. As a senior citizen I feel we should have a free checking account. Sometimes we can’t keep $100.00 in the account. Other than that, so far it’s okay.
Slow clunky… no updates to improve
This ap drives me NUTS… is it bad when you are considering having banks for a better ap and web applications. Slow slow slow, clunky and not responsive. The transfer between accounts will cause you to curse :/

Frustrated Customer
I run a small nonprofit and I’m able to use my username password to get on the desktop app but whenever I want to make a mobile deposit using the mobile app, it won’t log me in. I call customer service. I give them my social my account number, but the address I have on file is different from the one that’s in my profile and so because I didn’t remember the original address I opened the account up with like over 10 years ago and this bank has changed hands like three times now the customer service person wouldn’t help me. It’s the most frustrating experience ever. I’m going to another bank after this so tired of dealing with it.

I recently switched to sunflower because I moved and didn’t have my other local bank in this area, but the app is just not as efficient as the central bank app that I used to have… The central bank app used to show where your transactions went instead of just a balance… So for example it would show my current balance and then my last five transactions and how much each one was and where it was spent which was helpful in budgeting, the sunflower app does not have that feature and I wished it did, it just made budgeting and budget tracking a whole lot easier

They Took My Money
I opened and account on August 30, 2025. I then transferred $193,000 from my Edward Jones account to Sunflower Bank on September 5th, 2025. Then, on September 9th my account is restricted. I have called multiple times, visited a branch and non of them can help me. I have even emailed the current CEO Neal Arnold to no avail. Do not bank with Sunflower Bank here in Colorado. The following people I had interactions with were CJ Grayson, Keisha Hunt, Ashley Kowalski, Panween Arbeen, Emily Frank and Jordan Kuban.
App has issues
I wish this app was more consistent. I have constant issues signing in. It will lock me out for a few days with the message to call their help number. My Face ID feature stopped working as well sadly. It recognizes me then gives me an error message still without signing in.
This app freezes every time I load it
I have to re-open this app 2-4 times until I can use it.

I’ve had a great experience with Sunflower Bank and their app. It’s easy to use, reliable, and makes managing my finances simple. The layout is clean, transactions show up quickly, and features like mobile deposit and transfers work smoothly every time. Customer service has also been helpful whenever I’ve needed them. Highly recommend this bank and their app for anyone wanting convenience and trust in one place!
Online banking is horrible
I have tried to be patient with the online banking system but a few years of not being able to rely on getting into my account via the app or website is wearing on me. It will quite regularly send me a “you can log back in” notification when putting in my login information. I haven’t been able to get my facial recognition to work for quite awhile now. I am now looking at reviews for banks with good on line services to switch accounts. Frustrating.
Unsatisfied
I’m new to Sunflower all together since they bought out my previous bank. Not happy with the switch, but this is about the app… it falls very short of what I had with the Pioneer app. - There is not as much info about the individual transactions as I’m used to having. - It doesn’t update any transactions during the weekends. - The order of accounts in my list keeps changing, which I really can’t understand. - Every few days it makes me enter a new code in order to log in.
Works well
It’s a great app, when it IS working and I’m able to login. Right now, I’m unable to login by both thumbprint or by entering my password. I get some error message with a number to call each time. Which is pretty inconvenient for me when I’m wanting to do something as simple as check my account balance and trying to avoid calling a number to then wait 30 minutes on hold.

Can’t transfer funds
They recently updated the app I guess. I used to be able to transfer funds between my accounts in multiple ways. Now there is no way to do it on the app. What’s even the point of app if I can’t do anything there?
Have had to change my password, user Id, face profile again and again
I’ve now had to call customer service about twelve times in three weeks. I get logged out for no reason, I reset the password, o use that password, I get locked out, I have to call sustainer service. I may have to quit my job so I can deal with this never ending issue. Ridiculous.
Touch ID and login
It keeps forgetting my username and I have to consistently reset my Touch ID.

Doesn’t work
For the last few months my app hasn’t been letting me login. The FaceID worked one time, when it was brand new, but never again. I don’t understand how there isn’t an update for this app yet. It shouldn’t be this hard to see your banking account status.

I never write reviews but I had to because this app is literally the worst. It’s so slow, doesn’t let me use venmo, and sometimes the app doesn’t let me into my account and leaves me with no way to check my balance. Horrible app that needs to get fixed.

Stinks
The online banking stinks. It is hard to use. Have to reset the password all the time. It is user unfriendly. The bank here in Crockett is horrible. Not only did y’all close the downtown location, you fired or let go most of the employees so you can never talk to a local person. After 2 rings you get someone in Tim-buck-2 that is no help at all. Maybe employees jumped ship because of y’all’s management, I don’t know but Christy can only do so much. It is no longer the friendly downtown bank.
