Small town BIG Bank
INTRUST bank in Newton is the best. They provide all the services of a big bank but with that small town bank customer service. Employees are so friendly and accommodating.
Mobile deposit
For multiple checks, I put the check in your caption box and it cuts off my signature, doesn’t deposit the check (check rejected) and I get dinged when a payment comes out. Nothing worse than when I follow Intrust’s deposit directions, the tech doesn’t do its job, and I have to pay for the banks tech mistake.
First time using app
This is about my second time to use this app. So far, it has been extremely easy and I am loving it.
Old Phones Incompatible
I own an iPhone from 2017. With Apple withdrawing updates for older models, I cannot download the latest update. I cannot even access the app. I wish there was an option to use an older version of the app if you have an older phone, with an understanding that the latest update is more secure.

The App makes it difficult to deposit a check compared to banks that have been doing it for 10+ years

INTRUST updates
My app was working great! Then they updated it and now I can’t even log in to see my account. I try to download the update and when I do there is no option to update just Open app. Click that and it goes back to you need to update. A loop with no end.
This could be the reason I change banks…
I don’t often leave negative reviews; however, a functional banking app is one of the most important aspects of a modern banking experience and this app consistently fails to load my current checking and savings account balances. I should not have to call, or drive to the bank to find out how much money is in my accounts. On average every third time I open this app it fails to load my current balance, and refreshing the app does nothing to fix the issue. I’m about ready to move all of my accounts to another bank which prioritizes modern services. This would be a real pain as I’ve banked with INTRUST for over a decade, but what can I do? The inconvenience is beginning to be too much of an issue to ignore. It isn’t a new problem either; I’ve experienced this issue for years and honestly should have done something about it sooner. I guess I just hoped they would have fixed the issues with the app by now.
New to the App
I am new to the App so my opinion might change down the road but it does not provide easy to figure out steps for newbies.
Quickest
It is the most convenient and safest money transfer s I ever used.
Can’t access with new update
App wont allow me to access my information after the new update because it requires me to update my entire phone. I shouldn’t be forced into updating my phone for your app to work.
Mobile Deposit
everything works well except mobile deposit, which I use the most. “Tap to take image” never works, I’m slapping my screen half the time to get it to finally take the image. “Image is unclear, take again with steady hand” ten times in a row (which is inconvenient when taking the image is already hard enough) when the image has zero motion blur. Annoying to deal with. Would be 1 star (or zero if I could) but the rest of the app works great. I just can’t recommend mobile deposit unless you’re a masochist.
Transferring
Won’t let me transfer money from savings to checking because it says I don’t have two accounts. I do have two accounts however and it just tells me to refresh on the app which I do and it doesn’t do anything. It didn’t use to do this because I’ve transferred money before.
Great people and software
I’ve banked with Intrust for almost 20 years. They always have super helpful and friendly people – but their software/interfaces are great also. This is helpful in running a small business!
App logic problem for recurring payments
Tried to set up a monthly payment for 12 iterations. Wanted to set monthly on the 21st of the month. That went fine. Could NOT select a start date for the payments because the 21st happened to be on a weekend this month. Had to go back and set the payments back to the 19th for the start date would actually show up in the app! This needs to be fixed!!!

Don’t trust the 5-star reviews. Nothing works!
You should only bank here if you do not care about Mobile Banking. (See nearly ALL 5-star reviews—they’re mostly about the bank, not the app. A fair number of them are from…let’s just say “long-time” customers.) As for the app, balances are from 3 months ago. It says there is an error but then it never resolves. On just getting my current balances! If you can’t handle getting my balances right, why would I even try to do something as important as making a mobile deposit? The app never quite works right, even in the little things. This is the #1 reason that most of my banking is elsewhere. It’s 2025. Adapt or die.

Will not let me update new version of app
Why can’t I update my INTRUST account. It says you need the new update but when I go to the new update it loads and send me right back to the screen with the update message. In other words I can check my account 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾😢

I can’t stand how long it takes for the mobile banking to update to give you an accurate available balance I will be switching banks here soon because of this

I am able to complete almost every banking task I need to complete with a minimum of complications.

The app is finicky and it takes me 5 - 6 tries to deposit a check — despite clear photos and matching deposit amounts.

Intrust really makes online simple and easy to use. I have spoken to their support on the telephone and have never had an issue that was not simply resolved.
Business account
Absolutely ridiculous hoops to jump through. App is decent but customer service call center is a joke. Been doing business for a while they brought out a new app and I had to get permission to deposit checks (been doing mobile deposit for months no issue then bam need permission) since new app have not had one successful mobile deposit yet.
